What-if Tom Riddle had been reformed during his stay at Hogwarts like Dumbledore wanted?
He steals the shampoo for his buddy Snape who got made fun of a lot for his greasy hair
Voldemort keeps stealing people's shampoo to leave it in Snape's bathroom. Sadly, Snape never gets the hint.

I always took Voldemort calling Peter wormtail as more of a backhanded thing. It’s his marauders name, his nickname amongst his friends. But it’s also a reminder that he’s a “rat” as in someone who turned on his friends. So it’s kind of a double backhand. Using the name his friends gave him as a way to remind him how he betrayed them.
Oh yeah, I can believe that. Odd as it sounds, Voldemort does value loyalty, and he genuinely was disgusted by Peter's betrayal.
@@Cailus3542 Not really tbh. Voldemort values nothing but himself, and therefore the only kind of loyalty that he values is to himself.
He was disgusted by Peter because, not only did Peter not have the courage or loyalty to stay true to his friends and fight against Voldemort, but he wasn’t even loyal to Voldemort either. He betrayed his friends out of cowardice and only helped resurrect Voldemort out of cowardice. Ergo, Voldemort couldn’t respect him as an ally or as an enemy.
Plus, literally everyone was referring to him as Wormtail after his escape in Prisoner of Azkaban, so, it's not just Voldemort doing it to insult him.
By that logic, everyone was intentionally insulting him throughout the rest of the franchise, whether you're reading the books or watching the movies
Everyone called him wormtail since the third book. Not many really knew him as Peter Pettigrew except Sirius and Lupin. He pretty much abandoned his name, kinda like Voldemort did.
@Larka661 That's sort of the similarity that struck with me. Tom Riddle rejected his original name (his "old Wizarding World name" if you like) in favor of a new name, just as he intended a new Wizarding World order. So I took his use of the name that Wormtail picked out for himself as a psychological manipulation tactic. He can (and does) easily inspire fear in Peter, but what happens if he instills a sense of camaraderie (one-sided, of course) in Peter?
Indeed, at the graveyard, he confronts all of his Death-Eaters over their failure to search for him, where Peter looked for him, even if out of fear.

Voldemort definitely calls Peter that to torture him with the pain he experienced betraying his friends.
Did he feel pain while doing that? Did he feel guilty at all?

10:15 The thing about Voldemort is that he hates anything that might make him "normal". Its why he hates his very normal name of Tom. Its why the book death is so much better than the movie death, because in the movie disintegrating into nothing is memorable, while the book has him die just like everyone else who got hit by the Killing Curse. He just falls over and is dead. A very normal death. And for someone who feared death above everything and hated normality so much, a very boring normal death is just about the worse thing that can happen to him.
No he hates the name Tom riddle because that's his muggle father's name
Nothing to do with being normal, same reason Snape called himself the half blood prince when he was young, he didn't like his muggle father and so took his mother's name
@@Alucard-gt1zf True, but Voldemort was also very ambitious. He despised the name not necessarily because it came from a Muggle, but because Muggles have no power or influence in the Wizarding World. Ergo, his father was useless to him and so was his name.
I can imagine it was quite bitter for Voldemort to grow up in Slytherin, a house where most have an influential family and surname. All the while Voldemort had the name of a Muggle who didn’t want him and had to go back to an Orphanage during the Summer.
And yeah, it is true that Voldemort hated the idea of being mundane. He distinguished himself from the others at his Orphanage by using magic, which made him feel special. He later sought to control the Wizarding World because he wasn’t content being just an ordinary wizard or even an ordinary Minister for Magic.

@@Alucard-gt1zf When Dumbledore is showing the memory of his first meeting with Tom Riddle at the orphanage, one of the things Tom said was "There are a lot of Toms" when asked if he disliked his name. At that point, he knew nothing about his parents and later said he thought his father was the wizard, since his mother "can't have been magic, or she wouldn't have died". Dumbledore even said "he showed contempt for anything that tied him to other people, anything that made him ordinary." He hated his name from the beginning, because it made him ordinary.
While I dislike that change, I think they made up for it with Harry breaking the Elder Wand, which I see as an improvement on the books.

Voldemort is known to use legilimancy (?) on everybody, that's why Harry needed to learn occlumency in the first place. He definitely just broke into Peters mind and seeing how that name was important to him, Voldemort would obviously rub dirt in that wound at every opportunity

Voldy's Vapes is just something I love to see if he didn't become a dark wizard. Like instead of wanting to live forever (not dying), he has a great fear of not relaxing and chilling (along with keeping his hair nice with his second secret shop, Riddler's Hair Products) and just starts making vapes and hair products, particularly shampoo

Don’t know how much would change tbh. Crabbe and Goyle pretty much acted like Death Eaters anyway in the Deathly Hallows, as they fought against Harry and the other Defenders of Hogwarts.
Plus, they aren’t particularly noteworthy characters anyway. The only real plot points I remember them being involved in were when Harry and Ron posed as them in Chamber of Secrets and later when they attacked them at the Room of Requirement in Deathly Hallows.

Personally, I like to think that his kid is magical.
Willing to bet he gets expelled. Realistically he’d just do magic to show off at home to petunia so she could live vicariously through him. OR Vernon doesn’t want anything to do with him because he’s so anti magic. Petunia tries to salvage her family but Dudley steps in during an argument and uses an unforgivable sending him in Azkaban. There’s also the possibility he suppresses it because his parents are anti magic. He develops an obscurial and klls petunia and Vernon one day when they’re talking about how freaky Harry is for being a wizard. I kind of like the idea of Harry sneaking him to diagon alley to get a wand then to the burrow so he could practice which would bond them.
