Our old neighborhood friends invited us over for a July 4 barbeque and to check out their new six bedroom/ six bath house rental up in the hills of San Jose. PLDT fiber, 800 meter lot, window screens, security grates, covered parking, cool breezes, crazy water pressure, central aircon, expansive roof deck, huge rooms, no barking dogs, no roosters, no burning trash.... it's a veritable slice of heaven. Congratulations to them and MUCH thanks for the great July 4 dinner!!!

That’s the Serenity spaceship from the series Firefly, awesome series! Did your friend do any writing for it? That house/compound is unbelievable for what he’s paying. I understand why it’s taking you so much time now. Stay the course and continue vlogging new potential rentals, I very much enjoy watching them because I am strongly considering retiring there. Those were going to be my exact words 'hodge podge.' Too chopped up, disorganized and chaotic looking for my taste. Everything is disjointed in the house floorplan. Plus, who wants to be a slave taking care of a house and property like that. Keep it organized, clean and simple which will make it more appealing. I guess I'm getting too old to be bothered with all that work.

Lot of San Jose's in the Philippines. I like to look at the map before watching these videos. This San Jose is near/north of Dumaguette.

Finding it though a friend they know mean it would probably list for $600 + per month if it was on Facebook or through a realtor. I might be off a few bucks plus or minus. No doubt $410 is a KILLER DEAL! Okay, I jumped the gun with my post, at the end of video you did mention original asking price 30,000 peso.
P25k a month that’s not $400 that’s over $500 with conversion… still not bad for a huge house!

OMG! The whole place is a mess , dirty and so in chaos!
It's definitely (who you know) as most house and lots aren't advertised with any signage. We searched for 1-1/2 years and most places we only learned of via a realtor agent, broker, or someone who knows someone. That's a nice price for what you're getting there, for sure. I would ask what's the selling price; as housing prices are staring to shoot up in all over Negros and Cebu now. I'm glad we bought when we did.

I am just planning next year for everything chap yes I have some bad news to tell you my sweetheart broke up with me a month ago it has been very hard for me but I still have plans next year I have a good friend who lives over there he has invited me to go over there ... 😥😥 Keep on showing videos I hope your family is okay over there and your mom and dad in America yes I'm still planning to go home for Christmas to see my mom for 2 months maybe chap okay God bless you both and your little one 🙂🙂

Ned, been watching your videos for a long time and whenever you pronounce jalousie windows “jalosay” it makes me curious, did you grow up saying it that way or is it a Filipino way? I grew up in the suburbs of Boston and we had them on our porch and it’s pronounced “jaloseee”
What a setup wow - keep looking you will find one just as good your patience will be rewarded. I laughed at the floor tiles in a couple of locations (roof deck and under awning that I could see) made up of oddments and end of building jobs leftovers, not uncommon in PI.
CR is bathroom in Filipino speak.

Does this home come with a generator? Since power outages / blackouts are quite frequent in the Philippines, if they don't have one, they should invest in one. Well worth the expense.

Very nice place but it's not a quiet place. I can hear the roosters and they would drive me crazy.
All it needs now is a swimming pool, tennis court and a basket ball ring.
1. Find the great house that you love. 2. Convince the owner/renter that the Feng shui is all wrong.
3. They leave and you move in. 🧙♂️

Sure wish i am in YOUR shoes nel!! Still a few years away 'til 55 when i can retire!! 20k pesos a month for THIS home is a STEAL!! I know of just a SMALL room with own private bathroom about a 3miles from a southern california beach going for close to 75k pesos a month🤦♂️
It looks good guys whoever gets to live there will be king of the street as I see the home has hot water which is very rare in the philippines.
No, it's not running hot water, but a water heater on the fly! And those are now common here...
