WATCH TO THE END for a post-edit comment ** I Have tried several homemade recipes for coffee creamer and have not found one I liked. I gave up on it. 🙄 BUT my passion to find a homemade coffee creamer thats comparable to store brands in both taste and price has been renewed 🔥 Today I found a recipe that seems promising and I have all the ingredients. In this video we are going to try it together and see the results.
the only way you know if these things are easier like they claim is to test it. win or flop, its all good. now you know 👍 thanks for testing this one out for us all 😊
I could not have coconut oil so I used Arrow Root powder 1 tablespoon and it worked perfectly for me being allergic to coconut oil. thank you for the video :)
I love International delight French vanilla it’s my favorite but do t like all the junk in it. I have tried to make liquid creamer but I just can find it to get any to taste good. So now I’m using maple syrup and half and half the good half and half with not added ingredients. Sometimes I add pumpkin spice or vanilla to it. I’m getting used to it now. This looks good and I do try not to consume as much bad stuff.
The liquid creamer is DEFINITELY a challenge. Trying to find a recipe that tastes good or doesn’t leave a film in my mouth is hard. I have a liquid creamer recipe that I’m going to try. 🤞 Stay tuned! 😬
@@SassyGalPrepping I can drink about half the cup black. Still prefer a powder or liquid creamer, sugar free, as I am diabetic. For the longest time, I could only drink eight sips of black coffee. Now I can drink half a cup. Progress!
This a pretty close to Coffee Mate, IMO. I used 1 packet of vanilla sugar instead of the powdered sugar (I mixed all with a small blender) and my husband loved it.
I always sift powdered sugar. I would think that non-fat dry milk would be weak, but what do I know? Have you tried Nido or other whole milk? Coconut oil is going to affect the flavor, I would think. It cost more, but if you feel better about what is in it...
I found Land 'O Lakes Mini Moos Half & Half is low in calories and more importantly, low in carbs! I've been using it for about a month. I cannot drink black coffee!
DIY is no longer CHEAP! But at least you can do it your way. 🎉 I was trying to figure out a way to add Vanilla to it. I guess you steep a Vanilla bean in the powdered sugar beforehand, like you can do with granulated sugar. Then I would try blending Keto-friendly powdered Sweetener with powdered sugar to make it half the calories. Or maybe all powdered sweetener to make it Diabetic friendly! (Unfortunately, me adding my 2¢ here just drove up the cost of DIY! 😄)
Ohhh… maybe we should change it from DIY to DIMY for “doing it my way.” 😊 A other commenter mention throwing a vanilla bean in the mix for a day and then use it. All these fancy ways to make it better are costing us so much more. 😒
Yeah, that’s why I don’t do Keto. It’s range of “alternatives” products to replace standard ingredients come in surprisingly small packages yet cost 10 times as much! 😅
Check your store bought powdered sugar's ingredient list. Store bought powdered sugar has corn starch in it! That is probably the little "chunks" you see is the cornstarch in the sugar thickening your coffee! If you don't want to thicken your coffee make your own powdered sugar or find a brand that doesn't add corn starch.

@@SassyGalPrepping looking forward to it. Have a blessed day!
You like a little coffee with your creamer, don't ya Lol. 😊 I drink mine black but every now and then like a little flavored creamer. TFS SGP
I like creamy coffee!! 🤭🤭 My husband tells me I need to just drink it black and I won’t have to worry about cream or sugar 😮 How dare he!!!!

@@marsha6549 progress!! Haha. You go!!
Happy holidays, SGP.. Good Job.
Happy holidays! 💋😎
I have made this before. I used my blender to mix it all. It turned out great.
I think a blender would be a lot easier!
Fun project! Gonna be sending you an email about a collaboration
👀 👀
This looks good, thanks Sassy Gal😊
Hey Dawn! Good to hear from you. Thanks for watching.

Oh that’s a great idea!! Thank you. 😊
I wonder if the powder sugar could be replaced with sugar substitute?
I would think so but you'd have to check to see if the measurements would be the same. Some sugar substitutes are 1-1 but check to be sure.

Next batch is going to be made with Nido. That might be the key ingredient to make it just right.
❤thanks

Drinks coffee listens to sassy :) and hears the end part too

I can’t drink plain coffee either 🫢

Yes! @@Beezer.D.B. I did Keto for a while but the cost was killing me.

Wow! Thanks! I will look out for that.
Have you ever just used powdered milk by itself and stir in the coffee?
Sassy Gal, instead of coconut oil, use cornstarch. Other UA-cam developers have used that instead. Unless you've tried it already and don't like it.
Ohhh what a great idea!! I will try that. 🥰
