  • Sea turtles have an incredible capacity to hold their breath underwater, which helps them to make long, deep dives. They can last up to an hour or more if they are totally inactive. Conversely, they must come up for air more often if they are swimming or feeding.
    During the second day of recording, our turtle was more active and in 3 hours of recording that she was swimming, we saw her come out to breathe 70 times.
