Also another point you have left out is that the internal resistance of a lead acid battery is quite high compared to lifepo4 battery which has almost 0 ohms resistance. This means that a lifrpo4 battery will actually draw very high amps from any charger it is connected to, much like if the charger is connected to a direct short. This can easily wear out or destroy any charger or ALTERNATOR you connect the lifepo4 to, unless you do some tricky circuitry in between. So unless you are an electrical engineer you should listen to this man. Don't do it.

Update! Almost two bags of ice fit in the cooler. Today it was 80° in the morning and about 99° in the afternoon. Put the ice in at 5am and here at 4pm I still have about 25% of the cooler full of ice! That's a HUGE improvement over what we would have had without the upgrade!

I had a Vance manual jack plate on my old boat and I have a TH marine Z lock on my current boat. Both did fine but I like the Vance better because it was easier to adjust. A Hydraulic jack plate is the way to go. I will be switching to a Bob's Hydraulic plate soon.

Why are you touching the terminals. I don't care if skin has resistance to it. There's a 100 apps in that battery. And only take 0.0005 apps to kill a human.

I’m not falling for the lithium batteries for 2 reasons. Number 1 it can burn your boat down on the water. Number 2 if your starting battery dies you either troller motor back or get towed. You can’t interchange starting and deep cycle like you can with lead acid.

I bought one for my 14' john boat. I have a minn kota 45 lb troller, and a Lowrance fish finder and several phone and camera chargers going on it throughout the day. I have taken my son out fishing 3 days in a row and my battery is still 71%! Really only run my trolling motor about 50%, our lakes are really stumpy! This battery is amazing. How is your holding up? I just got in a kipawa prop for my trolling motor. I will be doing a test tomorrow on amp draw at certain speed settings. My battery has bluetooth, so i can see the live amp draw. Noticed that 100% throttle it was drawing around 48 amps, but at 50% throttle it would only draw about 15-17 amp! Not sure how that math works out, must be that common core math they are teaching nowadays! My battery also tested above the 100 amp hours, mine topped at 107! No complaints so far!

One thing that would be awesome is a battery teardown on all the batteries. The thing I noticed from some of the solar guys when they tear the battery apart is the build quality can vary A LOT. Some batteries are constructed correctly while other are have lots of defects or designs that can create future failures. Examples would be too thin wires on the inside or the manufacture doesn't program the BMS correctly for the low temp cut-off, etc.
