the reference to rubberninja's infuriating mario maker levels was unexpected but great
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.
Jwittz is like that one cool nerdy cousin.
Comes around once a month or so, but is always welcomed.
He makes cringe jokes but we accept him
If Fall Guys inspires Nintendo to make a proper battle royale Mario Party, I don’t think I’ll ever do anything else again for the rest of my life.
Imagine dozens of different colored Marios, Luigis, Peaches, etc. with tons of costume customization. The Ultimate Mario Party.
If Nintendo made competent online stuff period than definitely!
That sounds like one of the best worst things ever
I want it
It would still have to have the board part two
They could also get the Mario Tag game from NintendoLand and make it available through NSO
A few extras I recommend that aren't on this list:
Use Your Words uses the jackbox party style, but with more improv prompts that are similar to Whose Line is it Anyway. It's a great extra addition if you run out of Quiplash.
Duck Game is Move or Die but more simple and hilarious. and you play as Ducks with a designated quack button.
Speedrunners is like Runbow but more Mario Kart in its execution and completely cutthroat.
And Towerfall is another fun battle party game that has great simplicity.
Towerfall is great, AND it's on the Switch! I highly recommend it.
Highly recommend all of these!
Just a theory, but I think Among Us got super popular when the Henry Stickmin Collection went live on Steam and it had a lot of references to the game.
That would make a lot of sense.
Plus, same developers.
It's been popular with Koreans for ages, floating around Twitch's most viewed games for long enough that the western audience were bound to notice eventually.
wait, those flash henry games got re-released onto steam? like from newgrounds?
Well that's bizarre. Props to them for celebrating 10 years i gues
@@JeskidoYT That, and a brand new final game to play on. (Which was created since it was becoming too big for Newgrounds.)
thats literrally the reason
That was the best Carly Rae Jepsen reference I've ever heard, I made an audible wow after it happened
Top Ten lists are always my favorite, especially if it is by the WIZ!!!
Wittz?
I'm gonna burst into tears this channel was my most favorite when I was younger and i rediscovered it 😭
I love Jwitz's Top 10 videos so much because he not making them just to put out an easy video but actually going over stuff he loves and has played.
I'd reccomend Duck Game from Adult Swim games; It's another great cross platform party game with simple controls and quick rounds
Love to see so many of these games get their spotlight over the years. I've gotten to play all of them except for Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.
The only one I was unhappy with was Move or Die, while most others have had me hooked for up to or even over 100h each which is crazy (especially considering how cheap some of them are)
Omg candy stand! What a throwback - you unlocked a memory!
This is a great list! Being reminded of games like Runbow and Move or Die is nostalgic. My favorite which is a little complex is Town of Salem
Town of Salem seams a little complicated for a party game. It has way to much stuff for just anyone to just jump into it.
@@dmodk8010 I find it to be of those games if you play a few rounds you'll get it, but you're right it's a little more complicated than the other games on this list so I get why it wasn't concluded
I remember as a kid (I’d say 7 or 8 years ago)I’d boot up my iPod and watch your Pokémon videos. And still to this day I enjoy ur content and it puts that same smile on my face to this day
The videos jwittz has been putting out recently have been sooooo good. I just wish he would upload more but seriously love these recent vids.
Wow I was not expecting Monster Prom, but that totally fits! Also kudos for the Runbow shout out, IMO it’s really underrated.
Well, this just proves that a videogame doesn't have to be the most graphically impressive thing on the world to be successful, it just has to be fun
hmh. I have several family members who always said that a game without optimal graphics can never be populair. Im happy that this summer proved them wrong.
Wow so profound. No one has ever said that in the past 35 years
Among us is pretty simple but dang it it’s so much fun with friends
This was great! Haven’t tried any of these except Jackbox, which is a lot of fun.
Just have to say...I have been LOVING the new intro. Very Badass.
Both Inversus and Towerfall are fantastic party game hits for my group! Both are so simple, yet so quick that you can play sooo many games back to back.
I think Town of Salem is always a classic. The learning curve for all the different roles takes a while, but once you’ve got it, it’s a really tense and interesting “Mafia/Werewolf” type game!
I remember that Candy Golf game, I always had trouble on that one level you had to ramp the ball onto a super small putting green
Wow thanks to you I finally know that Close Enough is out. Wouldn't have thought that these would have been the circumstances.
I had this vague idea for a game called "Karen took the kids" where one player tries to take the kids from the other player who is the unlucky husband. That's all I've got so far.
So glad you included Jackbox on here!
Me a person who has only played 100 hr JRPGs for the whole of quarantine:
"Ah yes a very useful video"
When i want to play simple games that everyone will enjoy, I have 2 that will be a sure bet: Bomberman and Worms. I could also include Towerfall in it, which is maybe a little more complex... But the first two are huge classics that, at my huge surprise, aren't on your list.
Ultimate Chicken Horse is my favorite game of all time !
Your list is great though. The only 3 games I didn't know about were Keep Talking and nobody explodes, Monster Prom and Tabletop Simulator.
However, I think you could have done a top 15 because I feel like some games are missing like Speedrunners, Soviet Jump Game and a game from the Worms series.
I was wondering why I keep hearing TTS's main menu music for a lot of parts of the video until I saw #1.
i have been casually watching you videos for a few years now, then saw your Pokémon cypher and was like wait i know this guy. and then i was like wait thats the JWitts. i thought i was subscribed to this guy. but apparently you tube removed you on my sub list
100% Orange Juice is an online party game that takes place on boards with spaces that do stuff. And I love it!
Although we still have yet to get a full fledged online Mario Party game, the closest thing that comes to my mind is Pummel Party. I'm kinda surprised it wasn't mentioned here as it also has gotten updates recently along with steam workshop support. It's definitely a fun game to play with family and friends, and it also supports both online and local play with up to 4-8 players.
Holy crap, I haven't thought of Candystand in AGES
Most of the games on this list are some of my favorites to play (The only one here I’ve never played was Monster Prom) and I hope some of these get another chance in the spotlight
Aye JWittz, I hope you end up making a video on Spelunky 2 its so good
i love his new intro lmao.
YOU HAD ME AT CANDY STAND
He's back! :D
"Fall guy is a good substitute for Mario party online"
Yes, only if it was on the switch.
It is
Animal Gamer 115 pretty sure it isn’t on the switch.
@@Zoroark_Master i though it was
@@Zoroark_Master it will be
I'm hoping it will. WAITING for it
Fall Guys and Among Us are two shining lights in this dark tunnel we call 2020
This aged like milk
Loved the CRJ reference
HE UPLOADS!
I think GMod deserved a shout, so many days of laughing and having fun on that game!
Gmod is weird, though. It's sort of like Tabletop Simulator in that it is more of a platform to play games with.
If he doesn’t put in on the list, I’m just gonna shout out Ultimate Chicken Horse, that game is great.
9:13 Oh, there it is.
Oh yeah it's so much fun
Eevryone who has ever enjoyed mario/mario maker needs to try out UCH
not a bad list I thought coming into this that I wouldn't know any of them but it turns out I know most of them since I watch people lets play games like this every now and then
Ah! “online PARTY games” not “online games you can form a party in.” Yes I see.
Great picks, I was surprised to not see Mario Kart on there tho! :0
I love that thumbnail
Who would have thought two games filled with beans would be the best games of 2020
Don’t forget to like the video! Jwittz deserves it
Pyongyang Racer is an S tier party game
Fusion frenzy is really old but is also a really good one, then a lot of halo reach forge maps, and uno
JWittz: Golf with Friends
Me: - has flashbacks of Mark, Jack, Bob, and Wade screaming at the game and each other -
Nippon Marathon is a game you should definitely try!
While not as accessible as most of the games on this list, I always thought Halo Combat Evolved’s multiplayer and Reach/3’s custom games have a very party-like feeling, especially with free for all on Combat Evolved.
We bought a switch for the family and a lite for myself. Any ideas on games that would allow 5 people to play together using the two consoles?
Sometimes the simple approach is the one one that most directs, to our hearts And fun!!!
You're starting to approach "Just a Guy Without a Mustache"-levels of "wow, man, you're everywhere"--
Drilis Nani Really?
@@WarmLillie I see you pretty often, yeah.
I've heard of every single one of these lmao. Move or die and Ultimate chicken horse are great games btw, I would highly recommend.
Lovers in a dangerous space time is a crazy good coop mess. I wish it was acknowledged it’s really underrated
I know youve been using it for a while, but your theme song is dope af. Is there a full version?
Its on my channel!
I remember there being videos on thejwittz's channel covering Star Fox Zero and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle's Donkey Kong DLC, does anyone know what happened to them/if I am just being delusional?
How do you make a cube Pokemon draft? That sounds crazy!
I got the Runbow at launch on the WiiU. Local 9 player in that version 👍
I thought I was the only one who obsessed over that silly Candystand golf game!!
Jwittz my boy I just wanna say I have been here for years and love your videos so... play spelunky 2
*It's been so loooong!*
Hey Jwittz, will you try spelunky 2?
Me: sees title
Also me: jackbox games has to be in this list!
YES. I LOVED CANDY STAND MINI GOLF SO MUCH
Jwitz:NUMBER 1!
and then an ad shows up :(
Dude, I LOVE Tricky Towers! It's an absolute favourite of mine
Will ther be a update on the top 10 pokenballs?
3 is definitely the best party pack. Highly recommend playing at 3 am with friends
Im so happy the guys that created the henry stickmin colection did also create Among Us, Im so proud of them!
Please do a video on Pokémon sword and shield expansion pass dlc both the isle of armor and the crown tundra!
I consider Josh to be youtube royalty
Wait you’re alive!
check out pummel party, it's like mario party online. Also town of salem is the more traditional werewolf/mafia style, among us jazzes it up more and is more engaging to me.
I feel like Fall Guys And Among Us should make a crossover, for Fall guys the Among Us Astronauts from Among Us and be different colors. And Among us you can have a fall guy sitting on your head as a hat or a pet. Where when you die it scribbles “Eliminated” on your body.
Oh, man! Someone else remembers the candystand mini-golf game! I loved playing that and vector td on there.
I would play the games on that site at lunch hour in the computer room. When he showed the life savers golf, I got some massive nostalgia.
Sad that Stick Fight or Project Winter didn't make the list, but it was a good list nonetheless!!
It's been 4 weeks, time to upload a new video
Jwitz intro is so fire
Bleeding eye graphics and reality warping physics are cool and all, but Red lookin' kinda sus.
When the world needed him most. He appeared.
Hey! I've heard of most of these! Thanks Achievement Hunter!
Wow, these looks like some fun games. Now all I need...is some friends to play with....
Mario Party isn't online because you can't strangle your friends for stealing a Star if they aren't next to you, and Nintendo knows it.
For real, though, Super Mario Party really frustrates me, and I regret buying it back in 2018. I'm glad NDcube finally and begrudgingly made a Mario Party game similar to the Hudsonsoft formula, but it's not quite as good as the first eight mainline Mario Party games.
I think this mainly has to do with the small changes NDcube made for seemingly no reason, like making normal dice rolls 1 through 6 instead of 1 through 10. They made the boards smaller to compensate, but now they're just not complex enough. There's also too much money in the economy, largely because almost everyone gets coins from minigames.
However, all that would be fine if NDcube had just bothered to put in more content, or even done the bare minimum of incorporating multiplayer. Four boards is a ludicrously small amount. It would have been bad enough if they launched with that and added more later, even if it was paid DLC, but for some stupid reason Super Mario Party has never been updated, beyond maybe a small patch or two.
I really don't get it. Hudsonsoft may have pumped out too many Mario Party games, making 8 mainline games in 10 years, but NDcube has managed to simultaneously slow the number of Mario Party games they produce to one per home console AND vastly reduce the quality. If I were Nintendo, I would be livid that this mockery of a video game studio only put out two Mario Party games on my two most popular home consoles ever (the Wii and Switch), but there seems to be no consequences for NDcube running the Mario Party brand into the ground.
I can't belive you made a list of top online party games and didn't include either duck game or 100% orange juice
As an avid member of its community, seeing Keep Talking & Nobody Explodes on this list made me quite happy.
Look, I know he isn't gonna bring up Dolphin due to certain... Issues, but it does have really good netplay built in. Not sure if I would consider it extra software since its an emulator that you'd need to get anyways to play the games on your computer but if Nintendo won't give me Mario Party online at least there is a way. I usually get ~20ms ping.
Takeshi's Castle is one of my favourite show
Jwitz have you ever play Town of Salem.
I love party games too....but I don’t have many friends 😓 loved the videos
golf with friends was so poorly explained haha, there's been so many moments where we've peed our selves laughing so hard
Runbow need more love
Minecraft showed the world that even in an age of full 3D and high res graphics, players don't actually care what it looks like. Among Us and Fall Guys reinforced that simply having a fun and engaging gameplay is all we really want.
I remember playing the candy stand miniature golf game
Glad I'm not the only one!
