Hey guy's, it's a long video today, l usually record about 25 minutes of footage every video, then edit it down to about 6 to 7 minutes to keep it flowing and interesting,, today l thought l would leave in a lot of the things l would normally cut out, let me know what you think :) Greg
Hey thanks to you I begun my "incursions" into the kitchen and it was your "Chili con carne" that started it all. I prepare it for friends and family and they love it every time time !! It is the very best and easy to make. Thanks buddy!!
I make a butter burger, mixed with butter, sauteed and basted in butter and served on a buttered bun with onions cooked in butter.. I never thought to brown the butter and chill it first, I'll have to give that a try
What a great idea using brown butter or Beurre marron in french. I must say after watching every one of your shows - you have a formula like David Letterman, polished and wild. It's cool to follow you.
Made this for dinner was so good but took me 40 minutes to get the butter started maybe to low if u can say or show ur low better next time is all other then that so worth it. I poured the left over brown butter on top bun and some tomo sauce on bottem man amazing thanks mate.
Fantastic Greg! Been making regular butter burgers for years but brown butter!!! I have got to try a Granny burger. Thanks to you and your grandma. Oh yeah the video time was great, like everything you do.
Looks awesome Greg! I've heard of a butter burger, they are popular in the "Mid-West". This one takes it to a Mach 5 Burger Level! Gotta get my grill on....
I'd make a couple of changes to the recipe. Simply toasting the buns on each side in that hot buttery goodness so you're getting some crunch on the buns and more of that awesome nutty flavour. I'd also season the meat before making them into patties although I think you were originally intending to, lol. I'd personally prefer using salted butter but i guess the seasoning and cheese balance that out
this is Gregory's room or area where food is prepared and cooked, where any nutritious substance that people or animals eat or drink is so tasty that it causes you to pass your tongue over your fingers in order to taste, moisten, or clean them!
I've never had a brown butter burger but this did look good. I have however had brown butter grilled cheese sandwiches and they are delicious. You should give it a try Greg. =)
Hey Greggo great Vid. You just made Ghee (pretty much clarified butter) mate. I make my own Ghee at home using the same method but use loads more butter and make a few litres. :)
I think the long format is good. Extra info about how or why you do things a certain way is helpful. I speak for myself, but because I veganise a lot of recipes, details (like explaining that the butter browns as a result of the sugar content) help me to know what substitutes I can use most effectively. You don't have to be modifying a recipe to make it vegan to benefit from those tips, either. It would be just as helpful for those with allergies or something, too. Of course, you're also just charming, so don't sell yourself short. ;)
Thx for sticking up for us Aussies. Good point about different rolls. Im not going to pick on other countries but a roll is a darn sight more descriptive than other words 😂🤣 But no tomato...nup brown butter or not...a burger needs tomato.
Fun fact, you can just melt a shitload, let the melted butter sit and pour off clarified butter (ghee) for whatever you want, and brown the concentrated milk solids it's a damn flavour bomb
Interesting recipe mate. I reckon you could actually skip Step 1 just by using some Ghee. I actually wouldn't mind trying this with Prime Ground Beef, Ghee and Beef Dripping. I would probably opt for brioche buns (from Aldi) as well.

Try Putting a block of Brown Butter into the middle like filling it with cheese i think that would work also fine
