Fun fact if you're down here, the earliest non-proto build of Shadow we have is the USA GameCube Version. It was built on Oct 10, 2005. 17 years later Reloaded 1.0 comes out the same day.

Could we ever see the "lost tracks" from the game re-added in places they would've originally been? Like Who I Am, Broken, All of Me, etc.

The red star rings now don't have a reward any more other than "yes, I can pull this weird stunt." This seems to take something from the game but okay, it seems the old "rewards" will all still be there, just for free. The Cosmic Fall one doesn't seem to make sense in that case because it will just cut out a whole section that will then be rendered useless and a "no-go" zone (except maybe for ironically getting the red star rings in that section 😂 or expert mode).
I've just started and the Westopolis ones were ridiculous actually. It's like you're not supposed to be able to get the 2nd one, I'm shocked that I did after trying to cause enough malfunctionate jumps. Makes me wonder though if the hardest ones from Mad Matrix, Space Gadget or Cosmic Fall are made easier (since they made the hardest Cryptic Castle one easier).

I'm amazed at how you both were able to fix and enhance this game to such degrees. Shadow The Hedgehog as always been an underrated gem in my eyes, and now I hope that more people will be able to appreciate it as a result of this mod. Thanks for that!

Definitely going to check this out. While it might be a mixed bag, Shadow was one do the first games I ever played as a kid so I have a lot of appreciation for it. These improvements here definitely seem like they’d make it an overall better experience, taking out a lot of the tediousness of having to replay everything so many times or changing how certain moves worked. Great work!
If I remember right, the d-pad to select a mission was always in the game, but now you can select/lock-in them at any time (instead of having to start the mission in the level)? So this leads to dialog triggers that were unheard until now.

Shadow '05 is genuinely one of my favorite games, seeing something like this is awesome. I'm unable to download this due to not being at home for another couple months, but when I get back, I'm definitely gonna give this a shot! Thank you and LimblessVector for making it.
The bug at 2:17 was so annoying because you had to go to a checkpoint and respawn back into the place, so that the missing GUN robot would show up. This looks really interesting and I can’t wait to play this a lot.

These are very good changes. I think if u fix shadows slippery-ness (make him control more like sa2 or p06) this game will get about 1000x better (also maybe not have EVERY SINGLE ENEMY in the middle of the running path) I actually do like this games levels and music a lot so a better version would be great to see! Keep it up 👍

Man, your ranks are not only much more challenging. They require god skills. That fucking A rank in Lethal Highway dark path was fucking painful. I was just too focused to speedrun and kill the most soldiers as possible. Only to find out there's was a FUCKING golden GUN drone appearing out of nowhere. And the only way to get an A rank is to kill everything in your way, while speedrunning, and KILL that drone. Seriously, a 42000 pts requirement was widely enough, fucking hell.
This is so sick all of these additions are absolute saviours to the game. I thought if I could make any changes to this game, then a feature to view which checkpoints have unkilled enemies would be a great. Some sort of tracking system for locating enemies and collectables too like knuckles stages in sonic adventure. I also think this game suffers a bit from poor texture clarity, for example on the Maria hero mission theres an enemy hidden behind a door you have to slide under, and its so easy to miss seeing the gap because its all so grey. At some point it kind of walks a fine line between changes which are too drastic for current modding tools and change the game too much
We definitely had the same thought about checkpoints indicating enemies between them and the next checkpoint. Unfortunately it proved not to be feasible for 1.0.
We hope the extra enemies and more lenient mission requirements will alleviate that.

I love how fans are fixing these games. I just tried Shadow the Hedgehog a few weeks ago for the first time, and I could tell there was a good game buried in there somewhere. I was waiting for this exact hack to fix all of the problems and make QOL improvements. Thank you so much!
Looks impressive! Honestly one of my favourite games in the series so looking forward to trying it out! I will say 3 endings to Last story may seem a *little* generous? Although I'm sure there's technical limitations involved, I wonder if it's possible to restrict last story to having beaten all levels. Y'know encourage players to figure out how the routing system works, but it's not *too* grindy.

The selecting mission on the directional buttons and commander putting his hand into a fist in his introduction cutscene were actually in my version of the game (guess it’s just a PS2 thing) but in all honesty and seriousness this actually looks amazing and I can’t wait to play this along with P-06 and transformers the game 2.0 and Barnyard Enhanced (Shadow the hedgehog especially though)
The fist in intro works only in PS2 version, so yep you're right. The directional buttons is in all versions- the change with Reloaded is you can 'lock in' missions to ignore partner objects that change your mission automatically, as well as before you interact with the mission.
So let's see if I get this right. You guys grabbed Shadow the Hedgehog and made it absolutely amazing?! Not gonna lie as someone who played this quite a few times I think these fixes are absolutely amazing! Props to everyone involved in the project!
Finally, a reason to play through this game again.

Finally the game is playable
So after playing it, my only complaint is that the bloom was overcorrected, especially with the fires and laser effects. The bloom helped sell the lighting effects and removing them takes away from the game’s overall lighting art style.
I'm amazed that someone actually decided to mod this game, everyone seems to hate it.
You should add a bonus to the Mad Matrix Secret Door where there's a switch to detonate all bombs simultaneously.
This may be a weird request but...is it possible to do a physics swap with Heroes physics?
What would be great for the game is that they add the objects that were from the beta, if this version of the game has technical improvements, then that the objects and animation effects that were removed are added, for example: that the effect be implemented of the blood when a G.U.N soldier is shot and the different tactical uniforms they used at different levels that were removed during its beta version.

Sign me the *fuck* up. I don't know the first thing about modding existing games, especially for games made in the 21st century, but I can give you suggestions on changes to be made.
Some of these changes are questionable, though, such as making it so you can unlock expert mode just by beating last story. Uh, okay?
Also I cannot find the list of all changes, but here is one that *needs* to happen if you haven't yet: in Westopolis, Sonic tells Shadow to homing attack on GUN robots. If you could switch this line out with the one where Sonic says "Yo, try going down here!", that would be cash money.

Incredible stuff!!! But is there any way to load custom textures with this? I've been hoping to use PlayStation buttons with it, and non-glossy Shadow, but none of the files I place in the textures folder seem to apply to the Reloaded version

im really liking shadow reloaded so far and its actually fixed a lot of the annoying missions/stages for me,it feels like the type of arcade replayable game the og wanted to be. but imo atleast so far central city dark mission really stands out as still kinda annoying if you dont know what you´re doing , there are two easily missable bombs at the beggining and theyre right next to each other, i feel like changing one of the big bomb´s location to somewhere else and switching it from 5/5 to 4/5 would make it flow better, thats the only complaint i have so far everything else is really good
edit: ok on more replays the president escape pod mission (and maybe the air fleet egg balloon mission idk) seem worse, while increasing the speed of the plane makes it more urgent to shoot him down it also makes it really annoying when you have to restart due to one fuck up like not hitting the switch in time, i feel like the increased health is fine as it is but it could be a bit toned down
