    Thank you so much for getting to this amazing woman. You will not be disappointed, no matter what songs of hers you check out. Long long time, You’re No Good, the list is endless. She ruled for four decades. She is still alive but had her beautiful voice stolen by Parkinson’s disease. Thank goodness there is an amazing amount of her music available everywhere. Enjoy this new rabbit hole and thanks again

    James I'm one who requested her so glad you like her! Unfortunately she's unable to sing anymore due to Parkinson's disease but she's still alive . I love all her music she's sung many different genres (pop, rock, country, old standards, she was in Pirates of Penzance on Broadway also did an album of Hispanic Tejano music the biggest selling Spanish language album of all time). I love all her music but some of my favorites are "Long, Long Time" "You're No Good" "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" "Tracks Of My Tears" and 2 duets, one with Aaron Neville "Don't Know Much" and one with James Ingram "Somewhere Out There" (you may have heard this one if you love animated movies it's from An American Tail). These are just a few that I thought up right away. James I thank you for your reactions it's a joy for an old timer like me to see you appreciate and enjoy the music from my day. Enjoy the rabbit hole, lol!

    The lovely Linda no one can touch her, she was one of the top female artists of the 70's and 80's, she did this live, as you pointed out they don't perform like this anymore. She was pure musical genius who explored multiple musical genres and was a smashing success in all of them!

    I've been on this earth for a lot of years now, and it does my heart good to see someone as young as yourself discovering and truly enjoying this music. It makes me think back to those times when there was so much great music, that a lot of us sort of took it for granted and thought it would always be there. I truly enjoy your reactions to "my" music. Keep doing what you're doing. God bless.

    "I'm in love with music"...yes! That's what this is all about. Opening yourself up to different decades, genres, styles, etc...that's what a true music lover does. Once you start looking for yourself, what is out there, you realize when people say "there's no good music today" they aren't true music lovers. You can find just as much beauty today, as you can back when Linda performed (and before). You just have to love music to look and dig. Keep digging my man...

    Yes, she's alive but has Parkinson's Disease & it affects her voice. She can speak & sing a little but not like she used to. CBS Sunday Morning recently did a profile & interview. She's still a very interesting lady who speaks her mind.💙
    Have you seen Denzel Washington's movie "Man On Fire"? There's a scene where he's listening to Linda sing Blue Bayou to sort of calm himself & try to go to sleep.
    Do "You're No Good", one of her most famous. And "Somewhere Out There" is beautiful.💙

      @chrisd7047 4 роки тому +2

      @@FaceCampMyPussy CNN aired her "The Sound of My Voice" a few weeks ago. I'm old enough to remember her being on The Muppet Show and stuff like that, but what I really took from the documentary is how reverentially other singers speak of her. I'm not talking backup singers, I'm talking Dolly Parton and Don Henley. Many singers from the '60s and '70s, especially the women, looked up to Linda Ronstadt. Linda could, and did, sing almost every conceivable genre. She did an album in Spanish. She performed Pirates of Penzance on Broadway. Rock, country, everything.

    You said this song makes your heart smile. I've been hearing it off and on for over 40 years, and it still makes me cry. Not because I'm sad, but her voice, in that song, touches my soul. I can't help crying. After to listening to music from the 60's, and 70's, especially, you may come away thinking that you can't listen anymore to what's produced today. Not much real raw talent out there anymore. So glad you gave this a listen, and that you liked it so much. You should definitely check out more of her work. It won't disappoint you.

    Still alive, though not able to sing anymore tragically. I grew up on Linda's voice as my mother was (still is) a huge fan of hers. As well as I am. She always had such a heavenly yet powerful voice.

    Greatest voice of that era and beautiful. From Tucson Arizona. Her dad had the hardware store downtown.

    Linda is one of the nicest and most generous person in music. When two of her band members told her they were going to leave to start their own band Linda directed them to her manager and actually helped them get musicians for their band. Those guys were Glen Frye and Don Henley and the band was The Eagles! She is just the sweetest person ever!

    She sang so many beautiful songs besides the popular ones. I started following her with "Different Drums"... Also "It Doesn't Matter Anymore" and "Long, Long Time." You should even hear her version I Will Always Love You.
