fx9750GII: Solving Systems with Simultaneous Solver and Graphing (Mini-Math Lesson)

  • There are two activities reviewed here that show how to use the Casio fx-9750GII graphing calculator to solve simultaneous equations as one method for solving systems of equations. The activities also review elimination and substitution to solve systems. The second equation demonstrates how to graph equations and find the intersection point (s). If you have a fx-9860GII, CG10 and/or CG50, the steps for doing simultaneous equations and graphing to find intersections are the same.

    Does this work with complex numbers?

      Yes. You can set the Mode to Complex in any of our graphing calculators. Go into Run Matrix, hit Shift-Menu (set up) and you will see Mode - scroll down and you will see the options along the bottom (Comp, Bin, Hex, etc.)
