    Lets say they are rational, can you set the calculator to show as fractional when it resolves?

    I purchased this calculator believing it would show work as a friend's Ti does, if it only shows an answer it's useless for learning!!!! any way to get it to show how it came up with these answers?

      Nope. It won't show you HOW it got the solutions. I guess the good old quadratic equation derived from completing the square of ax^2 +bx+c=0 would do that.

      This is a calculator, not a math tutor. If you need a math tutor, a good place to start is with an app like MalMath. MalMath solves step by step.
