First year in highschool here and couldn't spend $150 on a TI calculator, so decided to go with this. Will I be fine following the teachers steps? and does it function the same as a TI?
It will be a lot easier than a TI. If the teacher is using a TI, you can't necessarily follow, as the steps are often quicker and faster on a Casio. My suggestion is watch some of the Casio vs. TI videos that are on specific functionality that would typically be used in a classroom. And also check out the tutorials and the quick-start guide: www.casioeducation.com/resource/manuals/fx-9750giii/fx-9750GIII_QSG.pdf
When graphing 2 equations with x, for example x= -2+y^2 and x=y, how come solving for the intersections do not work? All of the G-Solve functions do not work either.
Another option is to input a comma after your function and use square brackets to define your domain. You can see an example on this video: ua-cam.com/video/bLAtrAzkNBs/v-deo.html.
Make sure you are using the "X, Theta, T" button below "Alpha" to represent the independent variable (x). If that is still not working, please send a screenshot/image of your calculator screen before pressing F6 to educalc@casio.com for additional help.
@@CasioEdTech It worked! Thank you so much! I was really stressing over this. But I was wondering, what is the Y, r, Xt, Yt, and X for what pops up when I go to put in numbers for the graph? I’ve been using the X on there and that’s why it wasn’t working but I don’t know why those are even there.
Every time i try to graph, it only shows vertical lines no matter what functions i input. Sometimes functions only display partially and/or stretched horizontally, even basic ones such as f(x) = x^2. How do i make it graph properly? The graphing mode is useless like this.
Have you checked your view window? In the graph, go to F3 (or Shift F3) and try initial (F1) or manually change. Usually if you see weird things on a graph it is connected to the window.
Make sure you are using the independent variable key for the x (X,Theta,T), located right under the "Alpha" button. If you are still having issues, please try and take a screenshot of your screen before the error message and send it to educalc@casio.com.
My graph function says x= instead of y= in my display. How do I reverse that? When I draw the graph the y axis is horizontal and the x axis is vertical?
I am not quite sure what you mean by it shows up the other way around? Can you give me an example (i.e. what you type in and then what you actually see)
Does the function have to be polynomial for this graphing calculator to work? For homework I need to input very simple functions like y=x-4 but I keep on getting error even if the calculator graphed it- like does it have to be x squared functions?
No, it can be any function. So Graph Menu, in Y1 you should be able to just enter x-4 then draw. You might need to change your view window. Be sure also that you are using the x-variable button (not Alpha - X). This the button under the red Alpha key. This is the one you want to utilize when entering the x-variable.
It is possible to install programs from a computer into the Program Menu (or Python if it is in there). But, since geodesy is about geometric shapes, probably better on the fx-CG50? But, not sure exactly what it is you are wanting to instal....a program you have written?
What are you typing in? Have you reset the calculator to make sure there aren't any specific settings turned on? Go to System (G) Menu. Choose F5 Reset. Reset All Memory.
@@elizabethturner587 It's hard to help if we can't see what you have entered or know exactly the steps taken. It could be as simple as a comma where it's not needed or a letter instead of the variable. If possible, tell us what you typed or take a screen shot and send to educalc@casio.com
Why am I watching ads on a Casio-sponsored video that promotes their own calculator? Are they in financial trouble and need the extra revenue? Very annoying, very disruptive. I didn't find this video very thorough, nor did it really explain much.
Can you please help me understand why after putting in two inequality functions and graphing them, if I want to see the points in the Table I keep getting a "condition error". What do I need to do or what am I doing wrong? Thank you!
To use custom base for log you have to find loga(b):
Graphing mode then press Options, F2, F4
Math mode press F4, F2

At 7:00, after I press draw I get a blank page with the equation blinking on top. How can we get the graph???
Could you please provide the instructions to graph: y=x^2-2 (0

It says Argument Error when I try to draw Y1=2x-4
