Hugh Fraser reading Christie novels is like a warm hug. I just love them. So I do understand not having many physical copies. The Sittaford Mystery, although set in winter, is my current cosy read. I'm nowhere near sophisticated enough to read by season unfortunately! Lovely video, as always x
I love the idea of reading with the seasons but I’m on the other side of the world so when there is a good suggestion I’m in the wrong season. Then I forget later on in the year because I have so many books! Now I’ve ordered 2 more of those Miss Marple beauties!!

So nice to hear you talk about "The Uncommon Reader". I read it a few years ago and loved it. Such beautiful editions of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple series. In addition to "Emma", I'm currently reading "The Blue Castle" and very much enjoying it. Thank you for the recommendation! The notecards and brooch are charming. (The brooch reminds me of "Emma".) Oh, dear! Such a lovely video and at least a dozen titles that look intriguing and well worth considering for my library which is undergoing a big makeover. I have three book orders I am waiting on from the last video! Obviously I am not keeping up on the reading, but just got invited to watch a friend's little dog over a long weekend soon so reading will receive priority along with walks on beach weather permitting. I love the card on top of bookshelf.🌷🌹🌷🌹

Though I have yet to read an Agatha Christie, woops, the Marple series from the early 2000s is one of my faves that I rewatch every summer. These covers though😍, I think it's finally time to read some, especially The Body in the Library and A Murder is Announced! just always love your videos! so comforting and give me so many gift and reading ideas 🌻🌸

Miranda have you ever considered starting a patreon account for those of us who love your unique channel? I always feel so happy when I see you have uploaded a new video as there is no one else on UA-cam with more beautifully curated featured books and other goodies. I would be the first to sign up for patreon and I am sure I am not the only. Thanks for the wonderful favorites - so many things from this video I would love to own (and may be a good thing I live in the US where shipping costs make buying things from the UK cost prohibitive- my bank account thanks the geography of it all haha!)

If I got it right, in Lessons in Chemistry the protagonist talks about cooking ingredients during a tv show by mentioning their chemical elements, instead of using their common names😊I’m looking forward to reading it, and now also to your review!😊📚

Loved this video! I always enjoy seeing your favourite things so much. You introduced me to Elizabeth Harbour when you first mentioned her and I have quite a collection of her lovely ornaments now. Thank you for your hair care recommendations, your hair always looks lovely, so healthy and shiny, I will definitely try your recommendations. I love the new Miss Marple editions! I collected the Harper Collins hardback facsimile editions, published quite a few years ago now, which I really like, but I have a few gaps. I wonder if they will publish more Christies in these editions, Poirot, Tommy and Tuppence, etc…

Miranda I suffered terribly with dry lips and I use Nuxe, Reve de Miel. I only have to use it morning and evening now, it’s lovely and also smells pleasant but doesn’t taste of anything x

Love the recommendations. I love finding out about new products. I had no idea that Penthaligon do lip balms; love their fragrances. I’ve been given a copy of ‘Postal Bakes", and cannot wait to read and bake from it. The idea of posting the bakes got me really interested and curious about the content. I’ve seen adverts about companies renting bags and dinner outfits. You’ve planted a seed in my mind about possibly renting out clothes.Thanks for that.Alan Bennet’s recommendation got me very interested, and I’ve added it to my list.Have a lovely week ahead.

I loved From Field and Forest and the second book looks just as beautiful; I found it a lovely bedside book. I’m also partial to a Friday summer tipple in the garden (indeed, I watched this with a G&T!) so I can’t wait to discover some of these cocktails - especially if they’re simple. I love the broche! I’m wondering if Jane Austen’s own governess was the inspiration for Emma’s relationship with her governess. That Oxford book sounds interesting amongst others and the From cove & coast one (I found that it was & in stead of ‘to’ when I couldn’t find it) looks beautiful!

Hey Miranda!!!! I love this video....I’ve been in a terrible reading slump lately and have only managed to read two books in about a month and a half...I’ll start one with all the intentions of finishing it then I don’t 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️... but I did read an Agatha Christie book “Cards on the Table” and a children’s book called “A PLACE to HANG the MOON” it takes place during the beginning of WWII...I’m glad someone mentioned your hair, I’ve always thought it looked healthy and beautiful, but saying it in the comment section without hair being a topic felt weird 😂🥰....I LOVE those Miss Marple 📚...their so BEAUTIFUL 😍...now one thing I’m starting to enjoy are the shows on the BritBox based on Agatha Christie’s novels... I really love the Miss Marple played by Geraldine McEwan and Margaret Rutherford...please tell Donna I said hello 👋🏾...Have a Wonderful Weekend 🥰
I love Geraldine McEwan as Miss Marple, too!. I liked Joan Hickson, as well. I've never seen Margaret Rutherford's version, and am now keen to do so.
