    I had a coworker lose a dear friend that was making a baby blanket. I have a sewing machine and am fairly crafty, so I offered to finish the blanket (with thanks to a couple UA-cam videos). Thank you for this video. I made coasters with the leftover fabric so that the friends and family can have one last little present from her. It’s perfect because she was a bartender at a bar they all frequented. Thank you for the clear instructions for my project, it made it so easy for me.

    Thank you! I'm making a hostess gift basket for a friend who is intending me to be one of her first friends to come visit her home out in the country. Having been in that spot before myself, I really want to honor the invitation! I have a few things gathered together but it just felt wrong without anything fabric in the mix to soften it up. Thank you for the perfect idea, which will also do double duty as a good way for me to get to know the newest sewing machine in my life. :)

      That sounds a perfect use for them and a new sewing machine is always so exciting. I recently got my mums which is way better than mine and I could play on it all day! 😀

    I am not very good with a sewing machine but ok had hand sewing. Would they work as well?

      Yes, absolutely. You would just need more patience. 😀

    Isn't a coaster supposed to stop wetness from glass dew?? I am going to maybe sew in a plastic sheet from old binder, or cork paper..I hope, this works because this is simple and cute!

    • @ChristinesCrafts
      @ChristinesCrafts  Рік тому +1

      That sounds like a great idea. Any thin plastic sheet should work. 😀

      I was using a Janome that was very inexpensive but now I am using my mum's old Pfaff sewing machine from the 1990s.
      My advice is purchase a cheap machine if you will hardly ever use it but if you are serious about sewing do your research and invest a bit more.

    Are these washable ? Thanks

    • @ChristinesCrafts
      @ChristinesCrafts  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, absolutely! They are only fabric and fusible fleece so should wash just fine unless you choose a delicate fabric.

      @@ChristinesCrafts can I use canvas material and will that be washable too. TIA

      @@bzeeb As far as I know but maybe you could wash a piece of the canvas fabric first to test it.

    I'm trying to think of some quick things to sell...would people be interested in buying something like this?

    • @ChristinesCrafts
      @ChristinesCrafts  8 місяців тому

      Quite possibly, especially nicely packaged. I suspect you would have to make a few sets and try it out. 😀
