    in trying to organise all my fabric ive found myself just making tonnes of small crafts out of my scraps, because there are so many and i dont have space to store them, but i dont want to throw them out. I dont own any wadding or batting, however ive read that you can repurpose old fleece and use that instead? i have tonnes of old fleece pjs that i didnt want to throw away (im a hoarder haha), so i might use those instead,
    Thanks for the tutorial! 💖

    Very nice & quick to make. I have never quilted but now I would love to start and this tutorial is ideal for me.
    I have one question if you could help me with, what is the difference between batting and wading? Thank you so much.

    • @TheDressmakersCloset
      @TheDressmakersCloset  2 роки тому

      Batting is usually made from cotton where wadding is usually man made fibre xxx

  • @lorriek7024
    @lorriek7024 Рік тому

    I like the quilting method! Do you prewash your fabric? I assume these would be washable?

  • @oldchickenlady
    @oldchickenlady 2 роки тому +2

    What is "wadding"? My Granny used that term when she taught me to quilt. I didn't learn the word" batting" until later. I never thought to ask her what the difference was.

    • @TheDressmakersCloset
      @TheDressmakersCloset  2 роки тому +2

      Wadding is man made where batting is usually cotton both used for quilting x

    Very nice! I’m making 6 coasters today. Thank you for the inspiration.
    May I know what model is your Brother sewing machine? I have the Brother XR1355. I’m a novice sewer but retired now, so maybe machine and I will be best friends.
    I ‘liked’ and subscribed to your very nice channel. Take care.
