Sometimes I like to imagine Saturn as Wilhelm after getting patched up by Hyperion and made into an a full robot. It’s not like that thing has any lore anyway.

He always wanted to be a robot. Jack made him a robot. And, not that it was necessarily even needed, but at that point of robotification, it would also have been prudent for Jack to program in some absolute loyalty and obedience with all that hardware.
It felt quite weird especially since I played the game in cronological order. So spending a couple of weeks as Wilhelm before fighting him a game later was quite the kicker.
In pre sequel in one of his echos it was said he had bone waste so he got addicted into shoving metal into his body and if it was in real life Wilhelm should have dead from infection in the bloodstream
Gonna be honest, the first time I played BL2 this was the hardest boss fight for me. The second time I played through this boss took a whopping three seconds, but the first time was annoying
