Night bassin' is super underrated. I met a guy at my local city lake as I was walking in and he was leaving. He was fairly new and asked me if I ever catch anything there because he hasn't. I told him he was leaving right at the worst time as it was just getting dark and he thought I was crazy, so I invited him to tag along with me and he caught 3 bass in about 10 mins. He was geeked

No one does what Jon B does, puts on a grind and never stops. We may have waited awhile for this vid but it was well worth it. I feel your fright with the Bat, that happens all summer to me at dusk they chase the lure threw the air. My best fish are caught in the dark. Thank you Jon B for never stopping. 🎣🎣🎣
Just after I finished my junior year of high school my uncle took me out on a lake for a night fish. We were on there from 6pm-7am. I didn't catch any studs, but I caught more bass that night than I have on any other fishing trip. As I mentioned no lunkers over 3lbs but plenty in that 1.5-3lb range. I think the two of us totaled up to 50 bass. It's been years so I could be off. Man it was such a unique experience for me.
I remember when I first started watching your videos years back in the summer of 2019 (recovering from surgery) - it was a catch and cook video. I’ve made the effort to add more seafood in my diet for health reasons since then ✌🏼
Fishing at night is defintely the best during the summer especially all of those busy pressured lakes from fisherman to pleasure boaters. Caught my pb this year and multiple bigs like no other

Everything you said about fishing is about learning something new everyday is so true. I’ve been fishing my whole life. I’ve always managed to live close to a community pond of some sort. These last 4-5 years I’ve been all in with Googan squad and the Googan baits. I want to thank you personally for that.
Jon has inspired me to get out any go fishing even in bad weather and I have broken my pb twice in one weekend because of it. So I just wanted to say thanks!!

I understand the challenges and all the other hype stuff is as expected at your level but this is OG. You literally fishin by yourself and talking your way through your whole day, saying what’s happening and how it effects your fishing approach, from a $30k+ boat to you pond hopping. This was an amazing video. Not that I don't like the dope edits but I feel this style really captured the "essence" of fishing. The lulls, the thoughts going on in your head, the frustrations and triumphs. Really the bare essentials. Good stuff.
Also this video shows well that even with livescope, you have to be a knowledgeable angler still. It's not magic. You should do a lot more of these man.
Literally had the best bass fishing experience Ive ever had this past summer night fishing,we were out till like 4 am catching 4lbers cast after cast on whopper ploppers it was insane.

There are days that bass like the deep crank going fast but that’s usually on windy days I like to reel it about half the speed you were and pause it for 3-5 seconds and then jerk it a few times and then continue reeling It gives the fish time to catch up to it and if they don’t eat it on the pause the jerk usually triggers a reaction strike I also will reel it slow and then just start reeling fast for a couple seconds and then slow it back down It causes it to look like it’s fleeing or injured and it causes a reaction strike
You know...itd be a cool video idea if you could somehow record your sonar and split screen it so we could see what you're seeing while you chase them 👍
Loved the rawness of this one it just goes to show you how fishing can make a turn for the worst or a turn for the best in a matter of no time you can go from almost getting your head taken off by a suicidal bat "hate bats for that reason I have horrible luck with them" to catching an almost 9lb largemouth what a way to end a day man I'd of had to of gone home and changed my pants after that one 😂

Yo John loved the vid if you are wanting to throw swim baits and you’re on a pressured fishery you should really consider throwing a glide bait or bull shad when that water is cooling it can kill them. I’m not trying to tell you how to fish because you’re a great fisherman but some times a big swimbait specifically a glide bait like the deps 250 or if you want a cheeped one the savage gear magnum shine glide has proven to be pretty good too to imitate those big shad. Anyway man hopefully you can get out there and stick some bigs on a glide bait. Tight lines bro!

Idk, this year has been a ruff year. My biggest was an 8-4. But the bigs were few and far between
