Dude, this is one of my all time favorites. The only reason everyone hates Hydra is because it's in a low-tier Cedar Fair park. Nice review though!! Edit: And pacing. Yes i had a bit of an issue but i got some whip on the corkscrews and the cobra roll was very very fun. That first drop is super underrated.
Hydra is my FAVORITE rollercoaster. It’s not the best ride at all, but it’s a personal favorite. The color scheme is so beautiful and walking into that queue with a zero g roll going over you I’d just awesome. The jojo roll is only one of many things unique and cool about hydra. The whippy inclined dive loop is unique for a coaster like this. The corkscrew that early in the ride is too. Don’t forget about the oddly shaped cobra roll with cool sideways hangtime. The airtime moments after that are also very nice. I love how you get faster and faster as you dip into the terrain. Something overlooked about hydra is how this is a terrain coaster. Also there’s no pre drop and it’s a straight drop. I don’t mind the rattle because the intense, unique layout is enough to make it my favorite roller coaster. I’m probably the biggest hydra fan out there but I respect your opinion
I always liked, but not loved Hydra. I much prefer Talon when at Dorney. It's kind of a shame Hercules didn't last into the RMC era. It would have been an excellent conversation, but at the time it was the right thing to do.
Well, we won't agree on everything. I'm not big on floorless coasters, but this is easily my 2nd favorite. I love the unique layout, and it sounds like it's ridden better for me than it has for you. I get that airtime later in the ride, plus the inversions are all hits. It's noticeably slower than most floorless coasters, but I didn't mind because the layout is excellent and there's no mcbr. There was just a slight rattle (like with all B&Ms), but it wasn't any more than Talon's. I actually like Hydra more than Talon by a fair margin.
Hydra was the first coaster POV I watched when I was getting into coasters and is one that I really want to ride despite how many people think it’s just an average at best ride.
Amazing review! For some reason I really like the gimmick of the flourless model so I think I’d really like this ride! I mean I enjoyed Rougarou a lot more than I thought so hopefully it’s the same for this ride

Interesting review. This ride gave me a headache throughout the layout in 2020. Never had I rode a B&M that banged me so much. I sometimes wonder if I chose a different seat it would've been smoother. (rode front row outer seat)
Nice Video! I don't think Hydra The Revenge is bad at all. I still found it to be a great ride and I am looking forward to riding it again this year in Halloween!
The only parts of this coaster I actually love are the Jojo Roll and weird Cobra Roll I find this coaster pretty overrated it’s very shaky it’s still pretty fun though

I rode it back in May and and thought it was pretty good. Definitely not great but still fun. It's almost like a family version of a floorless.
