This is one of my all time favorite videos on youtube. There is a simple elegance to it. Just the viper flying through one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world...magnificent!
How can a video like this NOT encourage you to push yourself each and every day to be your best! To some, it may seem to be just a simple "Jet" video, but to me, this is inspirational. Mankind has come so far in the past century. Fighter pilots get to pilot these multi-million/billion dollar planes for their careers. The training they have endured and will continue to go through shows that we can do anything if we want to. Sorry for the winded comment, but this was breathtaking!
Ahh, the video ends right when the pilot was getting comfortable and inverting over the peaks... was just starting to get extra interesting! I want the rest
Takker for at du la ut denne videoen....fantastisk.Jeg tjenestegjorde som systemassistent på våpenskvadronen i Bodø i 1992...ble kjent med mange dyktige folk her oppe...godt miljø.
It is. Worth getting stuck in snow and almost dying because a father overestimated me and himself, then to get rescued by the most epic people of Norway. I am speaking out of experience.
Many moons ago on a mountain hike at Besseggen - Norway a RAF Vulcan showed up. I`ll never forget it. The scenery and the howl of that plane will forever be in my memory. We actually looked down on it in the beginning.
Thanks for a beautiful video. It is extraordinary to me to be able to pass over those forbidding mountains and beautiful valleys, some of which are untouched by humanity since the beginning of time. All of that beauty, ice and snow brought to us by a pilot in a warm, dry cockpit.
Well - it is not untouched:) This is tourist areas, and locals have used it ever since the ice retracted. Fishing was the main thing for centuries in these areas.
Great vid. Just flight sounds no music. Love it. Even all these decades later. F-16 cockpit is still the greatest. Like sitting on TOP of the plane . Stick on the right. Why aren't all cockpits designed this way? Man I would cut off a finger to fly one
Trollfjorden? its a Trollfjorden! my home! I live there. there's a bridge in Trollfjorden and I live under that bridge. never seen my lands from so high.. Beautiful video.
Holy shit this is now a bucket list item for me. Flying this route in a bubble canopy. Fucking christ, Lucky Norwegians. What a gorgeous country. Truly breathtaking seeing it from this angle.
Very nice video and amazing nature. I wish I could fly this fast. I tried to measure different points on Google Maps and from 11 sec to 55 sec you travel 8.10 km, which is 670 km/t and later it is more than 800 km/t :-)
+raa29420 Every turn I re-adjusted my head, man. Every turn. I wish the camera could have a wider range to see the sides. Apply any 3D goggle device to your head and there you are, flying over the fjords ;)
Lofoten (Norwegian pronunciation: [ˈluːfuːtən]) is an archipelago and a traditional district in the county of Nordland, Norway. Lofoten is known for a distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays, beaches and untouched lands. Though lying within the Arctic Circle, the archipelago experiences one of the world's largest elevated temperature anomalies relative to its high latitude. Reine is a fishing village and the administrative centre of the municipality of Moskenes in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the island of Moskenesøya in the Lofoten archipelago, above the Arctic Circle, about 300 kilometres (190 mi) southwest of the town of Tromsø. The 0.29-square-kilometre (72-acre) village has a population (2013) of 307. The population density is 1,059 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,740/sq mi).[1] Reine Church is located here and it serves the northern part of the municipality. Leknes (help·info) is a town in Nordland county, Norway. The town is also the administrative centre of the municipality of Vestvågøy (with 10,764 inhabitants, it is the most populous municipality in Lofoten and Vesterålen). The 2.37-square-kilometre (590-acre) town has a population (2013) of 3,176. The population density of the town is 1,340 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,500/sq mi).[1] Leknes was designated a "town" (Norwegian: by) in 2002 Svolvær (Norwegian pronunciation: [svɔːlvæːr] ( listen)) is the administrative centre of Vågan Municipality (9,200 inhabitants) in Nordland County, Norway. It is located on the island of Austvågøya in the Lofoten archipelago. The Trollfjord (Trollfjorden) is a 2 km long sidearm of the Raftsund, is being claimed (as of 2016) to lie within one of the following two of Norway's traditional districts, Lofoten and Vesterålen.[1] Administratively it's located in the municipality of vågan, which is a municipality in Lofoten[2] With its narrow entrance and steep-sided mountains, Trollfjord cuts westwards from the Raftsundet strait. To the East of the fjord lies Austvågøya.[3] The name is derived from troll, a figure from Norse mythology.
Very beautiful video! Thank you very much to share with us such an awesome scenery! Speed seems slow for this hot rod may be around 350 I guess? Chhers
You can see my cabin in the last few seconds lol. Have seen theese guys a number of times above my head because they train a lot up here in lofoten. Incredible pilots
i was at a ski park at my cabin in norway, when what i thought was tunder coming, i was wrong. three f-16 fighter jets flew over us at the altitude of what i would guess was 200m-350m. AMAZING
Wow, this was interesting ! I use to ascend mountains (in Sweden and Norway) and a few times I have actually been on a summit in Norway when a jet has passed by. Very cool. Then I saw this video that shows the view from the plane instead. Nice. : ) Thanks for showing us this video !
To bad there is nothing from Flakstad, where the Colonel that sank tiny Blücher, comes from... ...Where my mothers father comes from. Sidenote: You know why its called 'The Troll-Fjord'? - On a god summerday, no wind, no ice, it looks like the perfect bay to bbq in... ...-Two hours later, the wind change. -Good luck getting back out. The name comes with a reason. -And no. You can't 'just 'walk over the ''hills''...
Norway's 'National Mountain' Stetind on the right at 4:47. Was hoping they'd fly past that amazing monolith. Incredible scenery in that part of the world.
Yes, yes, everything etc.... ...But can You see the piolt go in Trollfjorden and take a 'quick turnaround', to return through Trollfjorden. -You see that shaking? That is pushing the F-16 tothe max-Effing awesome manouver.
That was a gorgeous flight! I've always favored the Viper. But was anyone else getting nervous when the plane shook violently during those high G turns? I was.
This is one of my all time favorite videos on youtube. There is a simple elegance to it. Just the viper flying through one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world...magnificent!
How can ANYONE dislike this video????
Wonderful view of scenic Norway.
Thanks
ToonandBBfan Any dislikes are likely for the shitty music over hearing the raw audio
Maybe those who hate the music that seem to accompany every single cockpit video on youtube.
Nah its the ppl who they fly over cuz its kinda loud
ToonandBBfan Flat Earthers doing drive by dislikes + digital spasticity and what Tenacious said.
Must be Jihadis.

@@abnormaalz That happens from time to time. We must be glad Norway got a lot of epic people. :D

Graphics are pretty good, what are you running this on? Dual 1080`s?
Shit, that is a low altitude!
Simplesmente magnífico!
Meus parabéns ao poder aéreo aviação militar. O F-16 é um caça fabuloso, não é à toa que ele é um sucesso de vendas.

Norway's 'National Mountain' Stetind on the right at 4:47. Was hoping they'd fly past that amazing monolith. Incredible scenery in that part of the world.
Awesome great views of that country
no turbulence/air pocket when going through mountain peaks & valleys at low altitude?
you lucky bugger ;-) Magnificent views!!!!
Awesome part of the world. I'll be up there hiking later this year. :-)
Really wanted to see the cockpit too... No better music than the engineer sound is required.
Yes, yes, everything etc.... ...But can You see the piolt go in Trollfjorden and take a 'quick turnaround', to return through Trollfjorden. -You see that shaking? That is pushing the F-16 tothe max-Effing awesome manouver.
Amazing footage, great place to fly!
It moves and revs so fast, you can't even see the propeller moving on the nose!
Nothing like flying in the Aegean sea, with blue sky, blue water, the sun always bright and the islands. Try to find Hellenic Air Force videos.
Did you see the wild hunt in Lofoten?
Amazing landscape, amazing bird! In my country I would say that I feel a "healthy" envy ;) Keep the low&fast posting.
Safe landings!
What is the soundtrack? Awesome video btw
-When an F-16 is shaking,; Pushing the Hotrod.
Absolutely the best amazing flight never see for me :) :) :) ....the pilot very lucky man!
I love it..
That was a gorgeous flight! I've always favored the Viper. But was anyone else getting nervous when the plane shook violently during those high G turns? I was.
What is the first song?
How fast are generally flying here in the video?
