I'm in the middle of writing a book, and there's a scene where one of the characters forges a spear. This series has been incredibly helpful in writing it. Thank you so much. I would like to ask you though, how long did it take you to make the spearhead? Do you have any idea of how long it would take without modern power tools?

If I recall correctly. I forged it in one afternoon. I ground on it another afternoon. I am not sure how quick it went back then. It would depend a lot on how many Spears they made if they had good starting material and did a lot of spears I would think they could do it pretty quick. But, if it was a small town smith using odds and ends it make take a bit more time.
