I watched the Pilot after episode 4, and I really didn't feel like I missed much either. The show does a good enough job of explaining what happened in the Pilot, and the Pilot isn't really the greatest in my opinion compared to how peak the show is.
As someone who watched the pilot long before the show released I don't see why so many people view it as necessary to watch it before the actual show. It doesn't change the viewing experience at all besides making you a bit more familiar with the main cast. The pilot is great but its not something to be freaking out over if someone doesn't watch it before starting the show.
The 4th episode not only is in my opinion the best for how dark, messed up and emotional it is, but for how its also relatable. Smiling through the pain.
@furheomoware1201 Basically, after my Gran died, I began drinking heavily and purposely messing myself up to escape the grief. Then, one day, it finally got the better of me, and I sobbed my eyes out.

I love all the HH songs, but “Loser, Baby” is now my personal anthem, it’s one of the most backwards but surprisingly effective feel good motivational songs out there.
Lilith is a character from Jewish folklore and several versions of the Bible, being the first woman and Adam’s first wife, she was made to be equal to Adam being made from dust also but Adam wanted her to be submissive towards him so she left, so Adam asked for a new wife so God took one of his ribs and turned into Eve. After Lilith left the garden she found Lucifer and became the mother of demons
She was also from Sanskrit Mythology originally and was a blood drinking goddess called Lilitu who was Kali`s sister and served a similar maternal role for other deities. In Mesopotamian mythology, demons in general were called lilus in reference to being the children of Lilith/Lilitu.
She's Apocrypha. Mentioned in a dead sea scroll and Babylonian Talmud as a demon (which Humans CANNOT be. Humans souls in Hell are damned, but not demons or devils), apparently only being referred to as Adam's 'first wife' in the Alphabet of Ben Sira, which was written somewhere between 700-1000 *Anno Domini.* She is either a myth or a demon and has never been part of the Faith's teachings, unlike Eve.
Nope, she was never in the bible as adams first wife. She was mentioned as a type of creature (most likely a demon classification) but not a specific one demon.

You misunderstood the beginning. Lilith was the first woman on Earth, and was Adam's first bride. Lilith had enough with Adam's controlling behavior, so she ran away from the garden. That's when Lucifer found Lilith, and they both fell in love with each other, because Lucifer wasn't like Adam, Lucifer wasn't a control freak. So eventually Adam finds a new bride named "Eve", and both Lilith and Lucifer wanted humanity to have free will in Earth, so they found Eve near the Tree of Wisdom. The best part is how they actually cast musical actors who were on Broadway or who have at least some singing experience. Erika Henningsen (Mean Girls the Musical), Stephanie Beatriz (Encanto), Keith David (The Princess and the Frog), Christian Borle (Legally Blonde the Musical), Alex Brightman (Beetlejuice the Musical) and Jeremy Jordan (Tangled the Series), to name a few. Some background: Vivienne Medrano created a lot of the characters during her time in high school and art school. She worked on several other projects, such as her webcomic Zoophobia. In 2017, she and a group of freelance animators begun working on the pilot with the help of her patreon followers. In October 28, 2019, the pilot was released on UA-cam and was a massive success. So much so that while her team waited for a network to pick up the show, she created a spin off internet show with Brandon Rodgers called Helluva Boss a month after the pilot was released and eventually founded an animation company called SpindleHorse Toons. The fandom created lots of fan art, animations, comics, cosplays, and songs, even some before the pilot was released. In August 2020, A24 picked up the show for production. Most of the characters went through redesigns and were recasted for a more musical inclined cast. About 4 years after the release of the pilot, Hazbin Hotel was finally released on Amazon Prime on January 19, 2024 and season 2 is in production
I was lucky enough to see Alex Brightman (voice of Adam and Sir Pentious) in Broadway twice, once as Beetlejuice and also as Dichard Dreyfus in The Shark is Broken. He really is very entertaining and talented!
Im pretty sure god is canonical in this show, but he just hangs out in the top layers of heaven, not doing anything and just letting things play out, biding his time.

There are a LOT of really talented voices on this show, from film to TV to Broadway performers, and the same is true of Helluva Boss, which is a youtube exclusive series by the same creators set in the same universe but focused on different characters and a much smaller stakes story. It just me, in ep 2 Charlie (probably unintentionally) totally calls out Angel, the scene is about saying no to sex and drugs. That’s not Sir Pentious’ problems, that’s what angel is addicted to. Their roles should have been reversed. And you can see Angel is clearly upset about his role.

The next couple of episodes (episode 4 especially!) Are absolutely stunning artistically, musically and the emotions displayed are stellar! Can't wait to see your reaction to the rest of the show! 😊❤
Im so excited to see you watch this show! im apart of a large group of ppl who've been waiting YEARS for this show. I would however suggest watching the pilot which is the one that's on youtube. It can be helpfull in getting a bit of background on the story. My fav song is in episode 6 called "more than anything".
Looking forward to your meeting Lucifer - remember, he's the most powerful being in Hell and could easily obliterate anyone there, overlord or not. The only thing holding him back is his own decision not to do that. I'd love to see him come to a meeting of the overlords though, I want to see how they act around him, in particular Zestial, Velvet and Vox.
I'm glad to see you reacting to Hazbin! Yeah there's a lot packed into just 8 episodes, it can be hard to follow the first time around, so you might wanna give it a quick rewatch, but man they really nailed it. The songs are so catchy! My favourites are More Than Anything and Hell's greatest Dad from episode 5, and the finale song in episode 8. Hope you enjoy the rest! Side note: you should know that in this universe, as of yet, there isn't really a God. creation came from the Angels themselves and there are different ranks. There seems to be hints at /god/ but nothing mentioned by name. Demons and angels that were once human souls, take the form of something that was significant to them in either life or how they died. Sometimes even something they hate or were afraid of. Also Nifty is an adult, she's just tiny. :)
There’s two types of demons there are Hilborn, and then there are sinner demons, the sinner demons their designs are based on how they lived in life, their sin, and how they died, the Horn demons are the ones that are born in heck like Charlie
I love how you caught yourself when you said "The people in heaven are the villains and the people in hell are the..." you almost said 'good guys' there but changed it into 'protagonists'. Yeah, 'good guys' would be pushing it.
"People die every day!" It's different in hell. Yes, people can die in hell. The difference is when you're in hell you're already dead and separated from your life on earth. You can die in hell, but then you regenerate shortly after and you're alive again and you can go through that process endlessly and nothing can permanently kill you. Well, almost nothing. The problem in the show is that there is one thing that can kill you and keep you dead and gone forever even from hell, and that is the exterminator angels. That's what everybody's problem is and that's why they're all so worried.
@@Kinger_of_the_circus Yep, also the reason she looks like a ladybug, is the most sadomasochistic Sinner in the show aside from Alastor and the other cannibals and likes to torture bugs is she was a neat freak in life which is why she`s a cleaning lady in Hell.
@@Kinger_of_the_circus Plus, her initially mistaking Angel Dust for a "lady" is because in the `50s gays were still in the closet outside of a few seedy inner city clubs and a few mafia families like Angel Dust, Valentino and Carmilla came from.
@@Kinger_of_the_circus Her liking "bad boys" is also a corruption of `50s patriarchal and cisnormative standards resulting from Niffty being a `50s housewife corrupted and driven insane by the sin energies in Hell which is why she`s even more manic than Charlie. I like the song "more than anything" from episode 5, it's the best for me, but of these three episodes the favorite song is Carmilla and Vaggie's "Whatever It Takes"
Heres a fun one: adam wasnt just married to lilith and eve, after their banishment from Eden, adam and eve separated (for about 165 years) and adam came across a woman named ne'ma. They were together for about 60 years or so before they both died.
For these first set of episodes, my favorite songs are between "Respectless" and "Stay Gone." Though, my favorite episodes are 4, 5, and 7. And my top most fav song, is "Loser, Baby." XD
So mello knows, the man behind hazbin hotel created all the music and the animation. He currently still works on the series as it's out on prime i thjnk it was but yes he makes the music and the animations. 😊
Dunno if anyone has said this yet, but your hell form is based on your life. Alastor was a radio star so his hell form is based around 30s radio, Vox was a television star so his form is based on television, etc.

Don't forget Keith David (Husk), who played Dr. Facilier in Princess and the Frog, the cat in Coraline, the president in Rick and Morty, King Andrias in Amphibia, and a bunch more
I've had the soundtrack to this show on repeat for weeks now LOL im in love with this show. So glad you're watching!
❤yes! I’m so excited for you! It’s so good! I wasn’t expecting this!!
I'm ngl I have a whole list of favorite songs. I'd say my top tier are Loser, Baby, Hell's Greatest Dad (with the mimzy part cut out), Respectless and Stayed Gone. Also a big fan of Out For Love, Ready For This and Poison
By the way the egg boys are creations made by a character named Baxter who gave them to Sir Pentious
The pay off of the egg boi telling Sir Pentious about the angel is definitely one of my favorite in recent cinema
I FINALLY get 'hell is forever' out of my head and then they make reference to it in a song in episode 6 and BOOM it's back in my fucking head😂😭
I watched reactions to this before I watched it properly coz wasn’t sure about it, but ended up just absolutely loving this show ❤ and the soundtrack is on repeat !!!
1.) I love this video! Your reactions are so expressive (in a good way) :)
2.) My top two favorite characters are Alastor and then Charlie
3.) My top two favorite songs are "Loser, Baby" and then "You Didn't Know"
4.) I like all the protagonist characters and all the songs are amazing...except for "Welcome to Heaven"...that one is just okay. Not bad or terrible, just...okay.
Ehh
Awesome reaction of my favorite episode of Hazbin Hotel!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
I'm so glad that you're reaction to Hazbin Hotel, it is an absolute masterpiece! My favorite song from the series is "More Than Anything." 💖
YESSSSSSS IM SO HAPPY RN - love your reactions and I hope you finish the series and also go back to the pilot on YT
Vaggie va voiced Mirabel in Encanto & Vox's va was supposed to be Mark Hamil. Adam & Pentious are both voiced by Alex Brightman
YEESSS.... I'm so happy one of the people that I follow is watching this finally, I am obsessed with it, so much that I bought merch and I'm planning on buying more.
This show was so amazing i definitely had a lot of good laughs
One thing I find interesting is that rock is considered to be the devil's music but Adam likes it
"Sounds like that alien dude from that Nickelodeon show"
Sir Pentious is the same voice as Adam (Alex Brightman), who also played Beetlejuice on Broadway.
Invader Zim was voiced by Steven Horvitz, who actually happens to be the voice director for Hazbin Hotel and is the voice of Moxie from Hellova Boss, Vivipop's other show set in the same universe.
Hey man I watched your reaction to Up, I love that movie. Thank you for being you, I had to come find your reaction to Hazbin, It’s my favorite show right now. Love your content. ❤️
OH MY GOD IM SO GLAD YOU CHECKED THIS SHOW OUT! Its fucking amazing, im so glad its getting the attention it deserves. I hope you enjoy your ride on this story! Great video
Finally got around to watching this, sorry im late to the party! This is easily one of my favorite shows and it's amazing to see your reactions to it Mell! The next couple of episodes (episode 4 especially!) Are absolutely stunning artistically, musically and the emotions displayed are stellar! Can't wait to see your reaction to the rest of the show! 😊❤
Love this show Mello! Please keep watching
Charlie = Disney princess
Im so excited to see you watch this show! im apart of a large group of ppl who've been waiting YEARS for this show. I would however suggest watching the pilot which is the one that's on youtube. It can be helpfull in getting a bit of background on the story. My fav song is in episode 6 called "more than anything".
Funniest part of episode 3 was how Amazon screwed up the voice credits and listed Jason Statham as Zestial 😂
Your reactions are amazing stay strong and healthy
“How many popsicles can you fit in your mouth”
You don’t want to know
I'm glad to see you reacting to Hazbin!
as someone who had watched the pilot when it first dropped, I'm so happy that hazbin hotel was picked up and released. as always, love your reactions!
YESS MELL YOU WATCHED THIS
Charlie and Vaggie were never human by the way
You saying respectless is your fav song was SO real❤️🗣️🗣️
My favorite song is more than anything it’s in the next few episodes but it was just so good and Poison I’m so glad you started this series
Favorite song hands down is "more than anything" from episode 5... Mostly because I can identify with it.
It’s pretty amazing and watch the pilot too.
You're watching my obsession! Let's fucking go!
?
Episode 4 is my absolute favorite, with my favorite songs, so I can't wait!
I love this show man. The music is top tier. It dose movie at 200 miles an hour though.
Can't wait for episodes 4-6!
Stayed Gone is by far the best song with Alastor
"People die every day!" It's different in hell. Yes, people can die in hell. The difference is when you're in hell you're already dead and separated from your life on earth. You can die in hell, but then you regenerate shortly after and you're alive again and you can go through that process endlessly and nothing can permanently kill you. Well, almost nothing. The problem in the show is that there is one thing that can kill you and keep you dead and gone forever even from hell, and that is the exterminator angels. That's what everybody's problem is and that's why they're all so worried.
OHHHH yes cant wait to see the next three!
Niffty`s 22, she just looks and acts like a kid because she died in the 1950s when women were infantilized.
Wow i didn’t know that
@@Kinger_of_the_circus Yep, also the reason she looks like a ladybug, is the most sadomasochistic Sinner in the show aside from Alastor and the other cannibals and likes to torture bugs is she was a neat freak in life which is why she`s a cleaning lady in Hell.
Plus she`s probably somewhat neurodivergent and OCD not unlike myself.
The very first episode that started this was the pilot episode on UA-cam. The series on Prime is the continuation of it
I like the song "more than anything" from episode 5, it's the best for me, but of these three episodes the favorite song is Carmilla and Vaggie's "Whatever It Takes"
5:48 My favorite is definitely "Loser. Baby" from episode 4
When u realize its Keth David yeah some how they got him to voice Husk, his voice is iconic so it was easy to spot. 😂
O yeah, this show is VERY fast-paced. It's not really for everyone, and it's more for the fans who waited like 5 years for this show to come out, lol.
She draws most of the characters but she does have a whole team to help out.
Really excited to see you enter this world. Once you're done with Hazbin Hotel, recommend you continue on with Helluva Boss.
More than anything🎶 stayed gone, keeper/ armor, loser baby so many great songs!!!!
From what I heard, Keith David wanted to be part of the show because he was open to more projects that would let him sing.
I might have missed it. But did you know that the voice actress for Vaggie is the voice actress for Mirabel from Encanto. Rosa for the 99 fans 😊
Heres a fun one: adam wasnt just married to lilith and eve, after their banishment from Eden, adam and eve separated (for about 165 years) and adam came across a woman named ne'ma. They were together for about 60 years or so before they both died.
Adam: extermination is entertainment
Mel: hey im starting to like this dude
Lol
For these first set of episodes, my favorite songs are between "Respectless" and "Stay Gone." Though, my favorite episodes are 4, 5, and 7. And my top most fav song, is "Loser, Baby." XD
My favourite songs are More Than Anything and You Didn't Know.
The voice actors change from the pilot to the series, new actors include a lot of Broadway singers
Wasn’t expecting Mello to watch this 😅
My favorite songs in hazbin hotel are Hell's Greatest Dad, Out For Love and Stayed Gone or Poison
23:18 Zestial - the oldest and strongest overlord in Hell. At least in the Pride Ring.
Aye watch out mellow, the hazbin fans are wild
I just won badly with this upload ngl I'm about to scream
Oh. Hard question. The final song and Loser Baby.
So mello knows, the man behind hazbin hotel created all the music and the animation. He currently still works on the series as it's out on prime i thjnk it was but yes he makes the music and the animations. 😊
Pretty sure she's a woman (Vivienne)
Favourite song so far is either the 'lil duet in episode 4 or episode 6
Thx for the reaction
Sinners` forms reflect their traumas, fears and what they died from on Earth.
I also recommend Helluva Boss. Same creator and all episodes free on UA-cam
I agree!
I remember when the first episode came out on here years ago.
Dunno if anyone has said this yet, but your hell form is based on your life.
Alastor was a radio star so his hell form is based around 30s radio, Vox was a television star so his form is based on television, etc.
