Thank you for this, it was an awesome walk-through! I know this is an older video but I was hoping you would be able to help me out. I scaled this down .01 to fit my object which is a grape, I am just trying to figure out how to get the particles to pop out like you have in either of these sims, the pig or the balloon. any idea how i could bump up the pop value of the vellum liquid?
Thank you. I used the inherited velocity from vellum balloons for these videos, however if you add velocity to the fluid itself and make it only come into play when balloon pops then you;ll get that kind of effect you are looking for. Hope this makes sense. Also, please bear in mind you'll need to do this inside of DOP network.
@@resilientpicture it absolutely does thank you for getting back to me! My only hurtle is trying to figure out Houdini syntax but I’ll get it eventually! Are there any syntax references I can look up? Don’t mean to take too much of your time up thanks for answering my original question!
Thank you for your great tutorial. I've followed it exactly as you taught in the tut, but there are big gaps between my tear lines from the beginning as soon as I start simulating. Could you please tell me how to fix it? Big thanks.
You are most welcome. If you are in doubt you can pick up a free copy of the project file here and compare your version to it. resilientpicture.gumroad.com/l/kafdp I hope this helps.
@@resilientpicture Thank you for your kind reply. After comparing your project file with mine I finally figured out how to fix it lol It's all about substeps! After I raised substeps from 1 to 4, my 'gaps between the tear line' problem are all fixed!
Very interesting topic. Thanks for the great tutorial!
