Please be aware that some parts are listed as compatible, but they are not! I think you used an incompatible part here because you had to bang it in too much. On the rear corner of the part with the 2 bolt holes, there is a cutout for a tab that is in the chassis. I think you hammered it in and broke the tab. On my 2006 Ford 500 AWD the tab and cutout is between the 2 bolt holes. The incompatible part had the cutout at the edge of the bottom corner, not the center.

That 3/8" wrench should have been a 10mm, I believe. I don't think there's any SAE on these cars.
