IIRC arma 3 Karts DLC started off as an aprils fools too. But the community was like "haha ... release when?"
The thing is, this stuff should be not even that hard to do for the developers lol, so even if they dont really do this then maybe some modders can? You really just paint the soldiers green and add some 3D scan of rooms
@@AntiCSFC It's not quite that easy. To make a 3D world of a Room you would need way more than just a scan. You would need scabs from multiple perspectives that then need to be combined and cleaned up correctly before you can start converting the point cloud Into a mesh that represents the room. It's likely easier to 3D model the few assets you need and skip the computational and labour intensive conversion part.

Pretty sure in Reforger they can just make a normal map or a room on the current map and just shrink the soldiers / players down lol

I would buy this as a DLC. This is a great idea and looks very fun. It fits the “Arma Platform” theme of the engine being used for multiple flavors of games and play styles. Make it happen Bohemia

Lovely trip to my childhood where having plastic soldiers was a simply must have.
If not just a joke this could be one of the best things they could have added to reforger even all of arma pvp moving forward. The Army Men setting like the one 3DO made and tiny world in general has always been a perfect under utilized setting for a shooter of any kind especially one in the correct era the toys are normally replicating, also one of the biggest problems in reforger other than netcode lag issues is accidental friendly fire this obviously fixes that issue for the most part lol. I prefer the traditional green VS tan instead of red myself tho
Yes. The real joke would be introducing this new gamemode on April 1, making everyone believe its a good joke. And then release it against anyones expectation.

Its fun to see this in an arma game because original OFP was toy solder box for me. I spent all my time making scenarios and playing in editor and now with reforger its literally toy solders fighting :D

Although it is an April Fool's Day joke, maybe more players will be attracted to play this game after it is officially launched? Diversified gameplay is a highlight of the "Arma" series. You can play World War II, Cold War, modern warfare, alien warfare, zombies, air combat, special operations, etc.
Meanwhile, "The Mean Greens" is dead.

I started working on a mod like this at launch since it was so easy to retexture in Reforger, so glad though it became a small gamemode and hopefully someone works on a full-scale version.
