Here's a tip. Code name locations are included on the map and are specific to blufor or opfor, at the same time are randomized for each round. You can use these codenames to prevent the enemy knowing where your running supply, defending or attacking. If the enemy is witty they can decide them. So come up with your own codenames for locations.
I can't stand this feature. The trolling can almost ruin matches public matches. Yes if you have squads that coordinate, its not too big a deal, but trying to rouse the rabble is already hard enough without compromised comms 😅

A tip for ambushes. Often when working with mines it is easier and more effective to place the mine next to the rode hidden the grass or hide it behind an object such as sandbags. Then you can just lay in wait, until your target is driving by the mine and shoot it yourself, eliminating the vehicle. Best place to do this is around FIA checkpoints as they are good spots to conceal the mines without the risk of arousing suspicion. Another benefit of using mines like this is that it allows you to pick your target instead of relying purely on luck. Keep up the quality videos :D. We need more content for Reforger.
my one tip is whenever driving dirt roads, there is a branch asset that can stick out into the road a few inches and its indestructible so it will either destroy your drive train on light vehicles or send a BTR into space (bohemia keeping with tradition for that one) so pay more attention on dirt roads

When approaching the enemy line drop your radio and deploy it that way everyone can spawn safely and it's not on your back. When you've taken the town just undeploy it and pick it up again. Game changer trust me.

A tip from me: Supply trucks need to be in the proximity of a supply depot to load / unload supplies. As the main base is often used as a frequent source of supply, it’s a good idea to make sure that the vehicle depot and supply depot at main base are located near each other. This way, when you spawn a supply truck you can load it with supplies straight away without having to drive near the supply depot.
A Tip that i find usefull,,, keep good communications, but avoid location names and actual plans, discuss the plans before you part and then navigate from that so the enemy cant get any usefull info from you
A lot of people tend to think of APCs as tanks with passenger seats instead of guns, and don’t know that most APCs (I don’t know about the newest ones but the vast majority throughout history) are meant to be small-arms resistant and are only rated up to, like, .308. Crazy to think that a monster like an LAV or BTR could be easily cut through by an emplaced MG, or (with bad luck and the right load) hypothetically could even be penetrated with a 7.62x54r

First time I played this game with a group of players, they told me to carry the radio & try to remain under cover for as long as possible. Though once I left the vehicle, I could hear the enemy team players shouting "Radio man spotted south-west!! Call in the sniper~~!"
its interesting to see the russians use BTRs but the Americans not have an answer in 1989. The bradley was new and wouldnt see action till desert storm. So it makes sense that when engaged in only a minor conflict, the US would be very hesitant to send in their new IFV until they tried it out on a more vulnerable enemy. Though I would definitely expect the us to use other armor options and maybe even a older patton tanks
Hmm, you would hope Bradleys could be deployed by (I believe this game is set in) 1988. There's photos of them in NATO Reforger exercises during the mid-80s (along with the M1) so it was definitely ready for rapid reaction from either Germany or the US. Yeah, you're right its combat readiness would have been an unknown. But they would have found out quick how much of a beast it was. About those Hueys though... Just seems too National Guard-level, even in 1988.
The point re peaking is very valid, but you also need to look into “peakers advantage” which is a more complex issue, which depends on ping to server and so on. Allows for some frustrating encounters.

I downloaded it today and Just found a cool modded server w/ cool modern kit and guns but it was Chaotic asf (still hilarious asf and well worth it). Everybody was nice but kept tking each other as helicopters were leaving the Main Base. By the time the admin came in and organized everything and we made a game plan for our and we’re about to set off on our mission (which was probally like 2-3 hours) my girlfriend asked me to get off 😭. I’ll definitely be looking for good servers, this game is amazing, and the fact that you can download mods in game is amazing
I had no idea that using the scroll wheel changed your characters speed. I was walking at a snails pace and thought I pressed a button, but it's so easy to do. Nothing in A3 can prepare you for how different Reforger is. I keep going to throw a grenade and instead pull out the radio wheel.
Btr ambush in onfalade to a road backed in to the bushes just waiting for a humv to come cruising down the road and pass by it unknowing that a btr with tracer rounds is already scoped in on the road and now aiming at them from the rear

I would love to get into multiplayer I'm completely new to arma I bought 3 and reforger but land nav got me confused man and I was in the real army just wasn't good at it then ether got lost in basic lol we made it eventually but it was a team effort good at everything but land nav

And I have also a question: You said that for the spot radio,only one radio can be active at the time, by "at the time" you mean depending on the distance from a soldier with a radio to a another soldier with a radio? or with "at the time" you mean that there will be one radio man on each squad? I mean 2 radios can be "active" at the same time, meaning only two will be available as a spawn point for the entire team if the operator is still alive (so long as you're in radio range of the HQ). Any extra people with radio backpacks will automatically be on standby and get activated if one of the first 2 go down. This system is going to change though (ua-cam.com/video/bjqG106n05I/v-deo.html), but that's how it works right now.

I'm a big fan so might be a little biased. Arma Reforger is one of the only authentic military shooters consoles have. They have a 2 hour free trial I believe, so give it a try! Hop on one of the official servers for PVP, or try the ChillFam PVE server for a classic Arma co-op experience.

A tip I'd like to know at the start was to not buy this "game", or at least not to try to download any mods because they simply did not download at all and made a refund impossible since I left them "downloading" overnight. All this talk about dying in pvp yet the AI absolutely annihilated me 3 lives in a row my first time playing this game this morning. I like to think I’m good at battle simulator games but this one is atrocious. I genuinely do better against real people in other games like insurgency or maybe battlefield but in this I didn’t even stand a chance. I tried to stop and relocate but they pinned me down and surrounded me. No matter how I retreat through trees rocks and foliage one of the enemies always survived and one tapped me. I was lucky to even get a glimpse of the Soviet’s defending the objective the first life let alone to get the 2 kills I got max trying to capture moss hill haha. Not sure if I just need to join a pve server or what but yeah pretty disappointing experience
If im correct, in real life the BTR80 can withstand 50BMG, but due to the 50cal being the second highest calibre in the game ( and highest calibre the US has) it was the only real way to balance it out.
BTR80 can only withstand 50cal from the front. The one in game is the BTR70, which can only withstand 7.62 from the front meaning a m60 gunner can shred the crew from the sides.
And another big trick you can do in conflict is at Coastal base you can repair the broken helicopters with a heavy vehicle Depot and fill them with a fuel station JakeBarrage@Twitch

My tip contribution: Press "r" while driving to turn the engine off for coasting. Very few people know this one, and it's extremely useful.

Expanding upon the main character tip, I’d say just stay with a team or squad rather than going alone. And always bring a Law if you’re the Americans.

Spawning ambulances at the start of the game when supplies are critical isn't a good idea but later on is OK

Peakers advantage is something you don't really need to worry about in this game. Not that competitive like let's say CoD

I don't think so. The minimum spec calls for a 1650, which is around 40% faster than your card.
