2:30 That nuclear reactor built so close to everything else gives me anxiety. That's something I always avoid when playing soviet side. Not only building them far away from everything else, including between themselves, but also close them out with walls on all sides.
Speed 6 is absolutely terrifying for me. Also, since you are doing gameplays against AI now, I wonder if you might be interested in a small mod I made a while ago to improve the brutal AI. It changes most of the task forces and things like that, among other things.
@@tg.Sacred It only modifies rulesmd, artmd, and aimd. If you have copies of those files you should be able to remove the mod just by deleting the mod ones and putting the originals back. UA-cam doesn't want me to link the files here though.
Good stuff xD You could try random maps too! There are some interesting outcomes there! Suggested settings: temperate, 3players, inland, extreme resources, medium size.
speed 6 is probably too much to handle on most occasion. but at the same time the AI is a bit... easier in a way even in brutal, then again its a 20 year old AI script so it can be outdated, if you want the more brutal experience i think Mental Omega AI are nasty especially if you activate the Mental AI Boost, they can do nasty tricks to mess you up
Saying don't want to use Lightning Storm and PrismPrism. 5 minutes later.... doing it so to prevent your loss. You became the one who you swore to destroy
Good job, well, Hidden Valley is popular PVP map, I know some players love that map. Well, I think you'll need more tank before attack, with some IFV. Hunt ore truck is useful in Red Alert, but Red Alert 2's AI has income cheating, so ore truck hunt is not useful like Red Alert. Maybe can try Red Alert Remastered 1 vs 7 sometimes, if AI too easy, can try to use some mods.
I modded my ra2 so that the soviets all have paratrooper power on their radars without any other requirements. very fun first 50 seconds experience against them.
very impressive, for the next time how about mental omega with speed 6 and mental boost for bots, i just wonder how you will handle it because you are a great player
I remembered zoom3000 doing a video like that at normal speed: edit apparently it was without the mental ai boost here the video ua-cam.com/video/9jY6PPtYwEM/v-deo.html
I used to ALWAYS play at max speed in AI games cuz im ADHD and i wanna go nyoom. But i've come to slow down at *mission speeds* to appreciate matriculate RTS gameplay.
9:01 Because only BFs, IFVs and Grizzlies are "fair" for the AI if you want to forgo Prisms, and Mirages are even more problematic for it. BFs aren't really unfair because their movement can be erratic at times on such a high speed and they're very expensive. The Sovs can just brute force their way around (maybe only Desos are really problematic), but the Allies aren't as strong if they can't mess with the AI.
Very impressive, but I think using higher resolution slows down game speed 6, I tried it with 800x600 and its just to fast for human beings to the point where im starting to built a war factory and the enemy built a iron curtain D:
@@tg.Sacred Some versions of the game do not cap GS6 to a certain FPS. Probably most notable in CNCNet version. The game will run as fast as your PC allows it, resulting in over 250+fps gameplay, causing the AI to be about 8 times as fast.
I don't really understand why you just spammed Grizzly Tanks the second game. Also this would be way harder with soviets without supers. I typically use Apoc Siege Chopper Combo.
Oh, so you think, this is fast? ;] Try Mental Omega... Not to play it much, just try singleplayer game at max speed - there it is unlimited. E.g. for me it goes at 300-500 FPS. And THIS is pain :)
Bruh, why do you play so weak against ai ? In first round you have iron curtain up yet did not destroy con yard. In second round you clearly have upper hand with tanks yet you decide to strike useless buildings and again didnt destroy con yard. I dont get it. No con yard -> no rebulding -> no defence -> war till enemy defeated. You can even trick ai with bunch of dogs and force ai to move his tanks out of base while striking from other side.
It's habit. Decapitation strikes against Con yards are obvious to people who regularly play skirmishes against AIs, but people who typically play against other humans instinctively go for WFs and power because that's what works against humans (and high game speed tends to result in a lot of instinctive behaviors).
I think you need to play a lot more games against AI because it's ridiculous how predictable he is. Here's a tip, if he plays allies, focus on defence, kill the tanya in helicopter or engineer trying to steal your base. And use 2-3 spies to steal his resources. Even if he has dogs, a dog can only kill so many spies. 3 spies in, 1 dies, and you steal 75% of his resources which will probably be at least 10-50k and yes, he hoards a LOT of resources. Brutal enemy has a modifier that multiplies his money a lot. He's just too stupid to spend it. Like you. 50k credits, coulda had an army of prism tanks with a few ifv and annihilated his base into oblivion. But you did the same mistake as the AI.... send a small tiny stream of units that constantly get killed. Why do you care about his gap generator so much anyway? YOU can't see enemy units but your units can. If you let them stop and shoot, they will kill the enemy on their own. Go for construction yard - factory - barracks. Stay defensive in the enemy base, the enemy is so stupid that he sends very few units 1 by 1 to defend his base. But if you keep moving your units around, they will get too close to the enemy and die. Units in red alert are generally glass cannons with short range and can't attack while moving. It's why so many players use regular tanks, they shoot while they move.
No matter if you won or lost, this is a great video concept. Absolutely ridiculous.
2:30 That nuclear reactor built so close to everything else gives me anxiety. That's something I always avoid when playing soviet side. Not only building them far away from everything else, including between themselves, but also close them out with walls on all sides.
Pretty much similar in a real life 😅😅
Walls won't help tho when the building explodes - splash damage/CellSpread bypasses everything.

I could try that as long as I can remove the mod without having to reinstall the game.

Perhaps a random rooftops map can work ;)
I watched this video at twice the speed as I watched all the videos. Time is running slow for me now. Thanks tg! :)
great video as always, it is also funny because I was playing on the same literally a minute before I clicked on the video
2:43 advice: use Alt+LMB for all move orders; especially when target position is near buildings.
I like those comments in the video, really adds lots of hilariousness to the whole experience.

mental AI boost makes the already maphacking AI use every production building as a cloning vat. that means pain, alot

It is possible to starve out the AI by miner hunting, but it takes an annoyingly long time.
This is what it feels like for me playing on Faster in the WestWood-era games, I usually prefer Fast.
Great idea, next time it's you vs 2

🤣

The power of your influence.

I only switch to speed 6 once I feel like I can survive the attrition. Very brave.
4:11 so this is what Alstar mean
And I watch video by double speed

Anybody else wondering this, you can click the left-hand top button above the command bar, or press Tab to view all other factions

And that's why kids, you always build walls around your con yard AND a repair depot.
at 7:47 you could of pushed down instead of hitting the miners and knocked out the command center.

Now do speed 6 but from the cncnet launcher. Its straight up impossible
It basically maxes out the fps your pc can give

How to defeat 7 brutal AI at speed 6?
Yes you can
How about 1v7 lop

I'm who every day play Yuri's Revenge only use speed game 6 💀.
Game speed 3 if I CHEAT 💀
After that I back to game speed 6🤓
yuri speed 6 please haha
That's the only way i play it. Way too slow ar 4-5
Setting up hotkeys makes it easy.
I can do that like you 1v7
you need a faster computer bro 😆that's not even close to real speed 6
Iiterally unplayable

doesn't everyone play on speed 6?
