This is the first song I ever got truly drunk on. Highschool party I came with a water bottle filled with a concoction of different liquors taken from my parents' basement. I called it the concoction of the gods, and it was a first timers mistake (vodka, whisky, gin, so on all mixed together). I ended up running down the road singing this song with all my heart. I ended up getting very sick and it followed me for several years with a negative stigma and I regretted it but now I look back at it with fond memories and have come to accept it as simply a moment in my life I can remember and laugh about. It was a freeing moment as a teenager, running down the road belting this song with my entire soul. Thank you, Village People, I will continue moving forward together with my friends going my way flying so high to begin life new I will do just fine with the skies of blue I will learn and reach. I love you I know you love me I want to have the earth kept free, so I have no protest. There are many ways to live under the sun or shade together. Go west (whatever your direction is) to do just fine under skies of blue!
When the video first started, I was sporting denim jeans and a hooded top. Now it has finished, I appear to be wearing nothing but a leather jock strap. This isn't a complaint. Merely an observation.

The construction worker dude can give these twerkers we have now a run for their money!!!lol
I think his hips may be classed as a bladed weapon.
I wish I hadn't even a quarter of his energy

Bruno bonjour
I remember watching this as a closeted gay kid in Iowa back then and feeling NOT alone anymore.
Kkkkkkk
Je savais qu’ils étaient gay…
Qué vergüenza 😂
I sincerely hope you're feeling happy now.
Friendly to you.
Sure. .
Hanno delle grandi voci, che unite in una sola e grande armonia rendono ogni pezzo mitico
The dude in jeans got the best hip action.
He's a professional dancer

He's f'g hot.

@@No1KCfan6 It's true!!! He moves so sexy....
He has an incredible voice
And his good looks was rare indeed backthen
I don't anyone who doesn't love this song, pure magic. Greetings from Sydney Australia. 🇦🇺
I don't such people either.
You may have two life times, but will never reach the level of happiness this guy (construction worker) is having right now. 0:43.
El obrero lleva una doble vida pero es feliz así
i absolutely love village people
I remember this when it first came out in England. I’d always like Village People since I was 13 (in 1978) and fancied David Hodo the construction worker the most! 😀
Hodo, not Hodi
@@fifilamour3859 I’m so sorry I accidentally miskeyed an “I” rather than “o” (they are next to each other on a QWERTY keyboard). You seem extremely intolerant!
Abuelaaaaa la la la la laaaaaa🇦🇷🇦🇷
Very Nice harmonic progression + cold war lyrics + retina burning visual. Awesome
NO ONE SHOULD EVER FEEL ALONE! WE'RE ALL FUCKED UP PEOPLE DOING OUR BEST!
I love this so much. Honestly, Filipe Rose’s costume and dancing is very sexy. He really knows how to move. They are all awesome but Filipe really stands out!
너무좋아요
When the video first started, I was sporting denim jeans and a hooded top.
Now it has finished, I appear to be wearing nothing but a leather jock strap.
This isn't a complaint. Merely an observation.
+MarquisSmith Happens to the best of us
👍
😂 cute lol
That sounds serious, my T-shirt and shorts only turned into glossy leather. Also my sleeves fell off.
+Salfordio LMAO

I love this song. I originally thought it was by the petshop boys.😅. On a different note, I suggest you listen to 'I ran' by a flock of seagulls. Hope you enjoy it!
The blonde guy dances fenomenal!!!
He has the music in his body ❤💪
Phenomenal
Victor Willis had one of the best voices of the 70's and is hugely underrated IMO
When I retired in 2018, I didn't "Go West", but I did go south - to Florida. No matter where you decide to live, this is such an upbeat and happy song. It is also encouraging. I enjoy this song so much.
Florida is west of Russia and China .
Just go West and don't look back :-)
The construction worker definitely steals the show here!
The construction worker's the best!!! SEXY HIPS 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻😍😍😍😍
That's the spirit!!!!!! This song and looking at them always lift my spirit!!! Please, listen to this song whenever you are down, it will take you up right away!!!!
So much enthusiasm!!!!
yep, I have stayed up the whole night yesterday by listening to this song, lol
la mejor música de nuestros tiempos¡viva Village People!
Amen!
This is the first time I've heard this! I love 💘it!
David Hodo, the construction worker, what a gorgeous man!!!!
Right!
Beautiful
Inarrestabile!!! Sexy 💪🏻😍
amazing stuff. history in the making. will never be a band like them
man! that construction worker is giving it all at the dancefloor, I only can see him now
元気が出る楽曲です
Memories what's better than that.... Happy memories of when I was there listening and watching live in NYC with the love of my life who she is long gone but, nothing can't change that moment in time ⌚😢💖
I’m now 50, and I still remember going to the movies to see Can’t Stop the Music! They are fantastic 🔥💥🌟🧡I loved the ‘80’s..disco, power ballads, it was awesome ☀️
Same here. I had a couple of their posters up on my walls. lol.
This holds up so well. Pet Shop Boys is good, too. Just a great song.
Pet shop has less soul and yearning.

Nobody in the world loves as much his work as the construction worker
ABUELAAAAAA LA LA LAA LAAA LAAAAA😂
ahaha the constructor is so in the mood!
Rampant
Very Clever putting the guy in a Native American outfit next to the guy in black leather - the contrast creates a marked impression & I notice that that view is the most common shot. That on top of a very memorable song & terrific singing & dancing - it was obviously going to be a winner :-)
Man, that builder is seriously feeling it, huh?
100% PURE TALENT... A VERY ANTHEM!!!❤
One of the most under appreciated bands ever.
These guys move me they sing well, and perform well.
how can such a legendary band like village people could be considered under appreciated?!, are you 14 or something?
@@sudacagamer First I'm 55 and second the fact that their not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is
probably an indicator and also a travesty.
Very few people know that this world-famous group, which has sold nearly 80 million records, is originally French ! " YMCA", the anthem of Donald Trump’s meetings today, "Go West" and "In the navy" are titles composed by Jacques Morali and Henri Belolo, the two French founders of the group. They hired Victor Willis to be the lead singer of the band.
Love the choreography, very creative!
