I think it would be beneficial if everyone who got the update to 6.1.2 to comment your experience on this thread so B&O is aware and they can continue with their updates based on our feedback. My personal experience so far as of today with the update the quality of sound and connection issue (Android Google 6 pro) has been fixed. I was having issues with the app recognizing my headphones so I had to clear cache and reinstall app and I made sure I put the headphones on top of my phone because I was getting a error saying " it was unable to sync to product". But after I did all that it's connected and listening to Spotify and the quality of sound is amazing. Yesterday it was raining and when I went outside all I could hear was the rain drops (no music on) so the next thing I'm looking to see when it rains after this update it cancels it out.. and I agree with the person that commented about the wind control anc if people ride their bikes but I can honestly say this is the first company that listen to their customer and made updates accordingly so I hope B and O keeps it up.
Good idea! Next update should be smart pause when I remove the earbuds instead of just muting the music. As well for multipoint i would like to have a slide in the app, which device i can i connect or not, something similar to the Sennheiser App.
I had the same issue, mine updated and wouldn't connect to the app after. I've tried everything and nothing works. Last thing I did was remove the EQ's from the app and now they won't reconnect at all, and the right earbud turns on and off randomly 🤦♂️, so essentially they've tried to improve something and completely ruined my headphones 🤣, anyone else having this problem?
@@iamshauncraggs I'm not having this exact problem.. connectivity has been a issue with the app itself but not with my phone (Google 6 pro).. the Google fast pair works because I see it in my settings however there are times when I would load the app and it wouldn't connect so I can't adjust sound quality (optimal to sport and turn on/off ANC) but what type of phone do you have? Did you try going through the TS steps ?
Great. Glad to see we're finally getting multipoint support for Bang & Olufsen's true wireless earbuds. The lack of multipoint support was the only real niggling issue that I had with the EQs
It's crazy that I was looking at earbuds today and I came across these watching that flossy guy but they mentioned it doesn't have skip track and other people comments talked about connectivity and sound issues so I'm like man idk if I should buy this then u bring this video out showing that you listened to your customers and made updates accordingly so you sir definitely got a customer today!

Bought them..and overall somewhat disappointed by the noise level floor when low volume or no music is playing... Édit : Wow, since the update, it seems the electronic noise level has disappaeared or been greatly reduced. That's what i call à great firmware update. Good job B&O

Pretty crazy because B and O sent me a email saying I haven't responded back (since I got info from u guys about rollout) and I said damn man it's been out since Feb 22 and I still haven't gotten it and close to a month! Well woke up this morning saw the update so now I'm using 6.1.2! Thank you again for listening to your customers!
Great news, but it looks like the update for Germany still not there. I just talked to customer care and they told me the rollout for the new software is in the next couple of days. I am still on 5.3.7
Great. The best got even better. The lack of track skip/back had indeed been a sticking point but I did fine without it, even at the gym. Now with this, I can't really ask for more although the wind noise reduction feature on the H95 would be nice to add as well. The Beoplay EQ and the H95 have completely taken over for all my mobile listening needs. I tried almost everything else out there and these are head-and-shoulders above the rest.
Something I really wish was that they had an EQ control similar to Sony's headphones software. Having multi band adjustment and being able to tune it how I like it for different songs and genres is something I'm very disappointed isn't available at the moment.
@@brucekhamp6859 Definitely, I feel like the drivers are capable of producing a more powerful sound without distortion, but it's still up to the company to choose. Another option, if you have a modded Android device, is installing a custom audio driver like ViPER (Idk if people still use that, it's been a while), which allows very deep customization and offers options for increasing the output volume
@@svartdraken I know cause I owned both the EQs and XM4 , xm4 better ANC louder sound better touch control , but the sound of the EQs blow out xm4 out of the water
I contacted B&O support re-continual disconnection of left earbud and after having no luck with their unpairing/factory reset tips, it was a seamless process to return them under warranty. They have told me that “a defect was detected”, and they are shipping a new replacement pair. I am just hoping that the same problem doesn’t occur with the new set, as the first ones worked fine for two months and other purchasers seem to be having similar issues. Fingers crossed!

Finally! I've been hoping and waiting for so long. That's how it should have been right from the start with the EQ. Track skipping is here, would you believe it? :D A very nice addition is the multipoint bluetooth feature. Both work as advertised. I have just finished the update in the app. Very happy right now. Would it be possible to add a "find my headphone" feature just in case we drop it.. like make a high pitch noise to pinpoint where it is or something like that
I got this update today. I wish they just allowed you to customise the touch controls to whatever you want or my wish, to turn touch control off completely.

Had a problem since getting update. Music plays for a few minutes then left earbud makes three beeps then cuts out. A moment later it makes two beeps and re-connects for a few seconds before cutting out again. I have to put it backwards in the case then back in my ear and the same thing happens ad infinitum. I have Googled this and see other people are having the same issue. No amount of factory resets or unpairing and repairing works. This has made the earphones unusable. Incredibly frustrating. I contacted B&O support and they told me to do a factory reset which I have already tried. As a last resort I will try to have them replaced under warranty. Very disappointing and unacceptable for a £350.00 pair of earphones.
I don't know if it's because of the update but the same problem arose today with the beoplay eq earbuds I bought 2 days ago. Did you solve your problem? If you solved it, how?
@@gokselderinpinar9009 Hi, unfortunately I couldn’t solve the problem so I returned them to B&O, which was a fairly easy process. They sent me a new pair which have not caused problems so far. However I have now bought the newer EX earphones and plan to sell the EQs. The EXs fit better and are more comfortable. They sound at least as good as the EQs but the ANC is not as good.
Updating my Beoplay EQ to the new software update v6.1.2 has unfortunately caused the right earbud to stop working. I have tried factory reset but that doesn’t work so I will have to send them back which is a pity because they were such good sounding earbuds.
Don't do that clear cache or reinstall the app then when u link to the app put the headphones on top of your phone for proper sync and try it again.. I'm using Google 6 pro and quality of sound is amazing
Just had to return my pair because of the software not fully going through. I don’t have the option for previous or next. Next update please allow customizable setting for the taps that’s very important because I picked up the liberty 3 pros in lieu of getting another pair of these.
Is there any potential for B&O to introduce sport like tips or ear fins as they do with the E8 sport ? These are almost perfect till the fall out of my ear ! I’m using the foam comply tips too
This is a welcome update which should make these even more pleasant to use. I have had a pair for a couple of months and carry them everywhere. Like all earbuds, they have one or two minor flaws though. I hope that this update fixes an issue where sometimes they randomly connect to your phone when they are in the case. Sounds no big deal but I have occasionally had a situation when I was call and suddenly I couldn’t hear the other person and thought we were disconnected until I realised the phone had connected to the EQs which were in their case in a different room.
@@brucekhamp6859 Hi Bruce, sadly not. Sometimes I’ll be using my iPhone and the sound will cut out because it’s connected to my EQ’s in their case. Another example, I was playing music on my B&O Explore (since update) and it suddenly stopped playing because the EQ’s in their case had connected to the phone. Not a dealbreaker if you’re considering buying these but it’s something to be aware of.
Update ruined sound quality on noise cancelling mode from the original firmware, sound is thinner and less fun. Sorry I upgraded although the on bud controls are much needed improvement and fair play to them for the updates on the technical front
I feel like the noise cancellation improved on the new 6.1.2 update I can't hear anything when someone talks to me and I even let someone try mine and they couldn't hear me either
@@Tr1pperz completely agree, the noise cancelling is much better ... But unfortunatly the sound suffered as a result. I noticed a significant change from the initial firmware to when they issued the update with the adaptive noise cancelling. Personally I prefer decent noise cancelling with steller sound quality ..otherwise id just use the 1000xm4.
Sometimes I have troubles with connection to B&O app. I don't know the reason. Blue lights are coming from both of the earbuds, but the app won't register. What I am doing wrong? Could you explain step by step how to connect IN THE APP. Thank you in advance.

I bought these few months back and they always had this annoying connection issue where the right earbud powers off randomly. Went online and found out others have had the same issue, most of them replaced their eqs, some of them couldn't bother and returned. I replaced mine and the same issue was still present so I returned them. Such a shame since they're one of the best sounding tw earbuds out there. Have you guys at B&O Manchester heard of this issue before and has there been an update to troubleshot that problem? Might buy another pair of these if its fixed since they are genuinely great.
Hey B&O I bought the EQ earbuds when first came out and after about 9 months my right earbud dies after only like 20 minutes on full charge, I didn't bother looking into a fix it was near Christmas when happened and they were on sale so I just got new ones figured whatever maybe just bad luck, fast forward to today again after 9 months or so and now my newer ones just started doing same thing so now have 2 pairs of B&O EQ earbuds which right earbud dies after 20 minutes I'm beyond disappointed what is this is anyone else having this happen??!!
i can not download the software update.. it seems like downloading it goes on and on forever never stops :) and the green light on the buds flashing also. i give up on that
Hi, after update I have problem with my left earbud. When I switch on ANC mode I can hear like small tapping in left earbud, I guess the microphone is too sensitive and catch sound from inside special when listen hip hop/bass tracks. Overall I love that earbuds!
Hi guys, I just received my EQ last week and after the update my right bud stop working. It’s flashing in white with a sound coming from the bud(35sec interval). I tried the factory reset but I cannot. I deleted the earphones from Bluetooth and delete the app also to reconnect theme, but also doesn’t work. I use it with an iPhone 13 pro. Any idea of how to solve this pb?

It'd be grat if they finally added black/dark mode to the app. It's been a struggle for a while now.

This function is actually not available now in Japan and some other countries. They withdrew this update for some issues.

Hi my Bang & Olufsen Bioplay EQ is not updating to v6.2.6 software. It is still stuck on v5.3.7 software as up to date. Please how can I get it updated to the latest software release v6.2.6?

I bought these few months back and they always had this annoying connection issue where the right earbud powers off randomly. Went online and found out others have had the same issue, most of them replaced their eqs, some of them couldn't bother and returned. I replaced mine and the same issue was still present so I returned them. Such a shame since they're one of the best sounding tw earbuds out there. Have you guys at B&O Manchester heard of this issue before and has there been an update to troubleshot that problem? Might buy another pair of these if its fixed since they are genuinely great.

Hey B&O I bought the EQ earbuds when first came out and after about 9 months my right earbud dies after only like 20 minutes on full charge, I didn't bother looking into a fix it was near Christmas when happened and they were on sale so I just got new ones figured whatever maybe just bad luck, fast forward to today again after 9 months or so and now my newer ones just started doing same thing so now have 2 pairs of B&O EQ earbuds which right earbud dies after 20 minutes I'm beyond disappointed what is this is anyone else having this happen??!!
Please report this to denmark on the beo.com page your headphones have a two year warranty so it will be dealt with
i can not download the software update.. it seems like downloading it goes on and on forever never stops :) and the green light on the buds flashing also. i give up on that
try removing the app and re installing it
I had an error whilst the buds were updating and don't seem to be able to use them, can't get them to factory reset either.

Hi, after update I have problem with my left earbud. When I switch on ANC mode I can hear like small tapping in left earbud, I guess the microphone is too sensitive and catch sound from inside special when listen hip hop/bass tracks. Overall I love that earbuds!
hey can i somehow turn off the touch controls entirly? i want to buy some eqs but i dont want the vcontrols to interfere when adjusting the headphones

I just received my EQ last week and after the update my right bud stop working. It’s flashing in white with a sound coming from the bud(35sec interval). I tried the factory reset but I cannot. I deleted the earphones from Bluetooth and delete the app also to reconnect theme, but also doesn’t work. I use it with an iPhone 13 pro. Any idea of how to solve this pb?

@@miloa.2684 nope. I thought something was wrong and contact customer service. They said the update will be available next week ( fingers crossed). I kind of put off from using because I need multipoint while working. But I use them now hoping the update will drip any day.

Hi, I updated my Beoplay EQ firmware to 5.3.7 and it seems the triple tap for previous/next track is not working. From Apple Music app to spotify seems the function is not working. 🧐
The triple tap is for next release. 5.3.7 is the current. Update is expected to rollout soon.
