I've owned both the inzone and the explores. I think not being able to connect the inzones to my phone was a deal breaker for me and once I got some better ear tips than the ones sony provided along with the EQ update the explores sounded way better than before. Both are excellent, but for me at the end of the day the pulse explores are just an overall better choice.
@@seifbuys Not to mention that even though the explores batteries only last 5 hours I've always gotten at least 6 and to fully charge them back up again it only takes 40 minutes. The inzones are phenomenal with 12 hours, but it takes 2 hours to fully charge them, and with that being said you can fully charge the explores 3 times in two hours. I'm just saying. Great video btw!

Their compatibility for bluetooth music listening is very limited to just LE Bluetooth and it's not simultaneous (can't play game while listening to music from another source). Explores on the other hand, offer much easier on the fly EQ adjustment on ps5 direct through the PS UI as well as simultaneous bluetooth connection to phone while gaming. Personally, I would go with the Pulse Explores, but I primarily game on PlayStation and pretty much never game on PC. Even if I played occasionally on PC though, the argument for the Explores over the InZones is still pretty strong imo. Mainly because of the simultaneous bluetooth connectivity function.

Thanks for watching and dropping a comment! yes, can confirm the party chat clarity and everything works great. My biggest issue with the InZone buds is just that you can only adjust the EQ on PC. Which is 1) not possible if you don't have pc and 2) a pain to have to switch the dongle over to PC to adjust the EQ then switch it back to the playstation to see if you like it. The Pulse Explore on the other hand allows EQ adjustment directly via the PS5 menu.. but ofcourse has lower battery and lower max volume.
Excellent point about fit cause I had the AirPod pro 2’s and they didn’t fit well but got razer hammerhead yes and way better. I’m wanting to give the pulse ones a try

Hi there, I recently bought a playstation portal for myself because I can't always use my playstation 5, and I have the Sony Wf-1000xm5 , but I want to buy the pulse earbuds, because I need to hear the footsteps and crawling on my Shooting games so I don't mind the 4-5 battery because i can't play that long. I was wondering what if I should buy the pulse earbuds or get the Bluetooth device you recommend for my Sony Wf-1000xm5 ear buds, but this was such a good review on the products I hope you continue making more reviews. :)
thanks so much Swoozy! I would get the pulse explores in your case! it will make a difference for hearing footsteps and crawling compared to the WF-1000XM5 with the bluetooth dongle accessory. They even added eq adjustment to the pulse explores right on the playstation menu so u can fine tune the sound exactly to your liking easily! The WF1000XM5 in my experience was very hit and miss with the bluetooth dongle.. like sometimes it would connect perfectly and others only one earbud would connect and so wasn't very seamless/reliable for use with the ps5.
I have the Pulse explore (dog ate one) and just bought the inzone buds, and the inzone buds are wayyyyyyyyyy more comfortable. The Pulse make the inside of my ear itchy and a bit sore after a couple hours or less, the inzone I can wear for hours and it's comfortable. I don't have LE audio on my Samsung s21 ultra so I have to use the dongle which sucks, but when I upgrade my phone next time then I'll make sure I get one with it. The dual connectivity with the pulse (game and music/phone calls) is nice but to be honest with you not having it, I don't miss it with the inzone. I'm on PC now so the inzone are better, the pulse I wouldn't get if you're not on playstation because you can only adjust the EQ through the PS, where I can use the inzone app on my PC for those buds. Comfort alone it's no contest, inzone all the way, if that's not a big thing for you because you only game an hour at a time and you have mostly PS equipment then the pulse might be a better choice.
So for airpods pro 2 what transmitter will work better? The c81 or c21? And also i had to say this, you are the most informative youtuber ive seen. And believe me ive listen to many videos before you. Thank you very much for the great work!

I have both the Inzones and the explorers. The Inzones are nice but the fact that you can only adjust EQ settings on PC tells me that they are primarily designed for PC gaming and PS5 gaming is secondary. If you primarily game on a PC then I’d say the Inzones are for you. If you mostly game on PS5 then the PULSE Elite/Explorers are the best option for you.
Out the box, pure sound quality, InZone Buds. But, changing EQ is very cumbersome and you need a PC. So, that might be what makes you lean Pulse Explore (i.e. ease of changing the EQ direct via PS menu).
IDK if this is true, but I've thought about it over and over again in my head the reason why the InZone Buds uses a low tech Bluetooth version is because their drivers is thesame as the WFXM5 so if they made it a Bluetooth compatible to new phones such as iPhones then it would compete against the WFXM5. That's why their sole purpose is only for gaming.
Hey Sean, could be! I was thinking the same but then also LE Bluetooth is just lower energy so it means much longer battery life. But then again doesn't matter when gaming using the dongle which is the primary purpose. So you're probably right.. bluetooth LE works with my google pixel 8 pro though! which is nice

@@rainmakerhd6959 Assuming ur referring to the Razed Hammerhead Pro. Haven't tried them personally but based on Amazon reviews they have a lot of reported issues with charging. So if ur primarily/only playing on ps5, I would definitely stick with the pulse explore earbuds.
If you ask me the inzones shouldn't exist, im glad there branching out to the pc market and the other products are good, but the playstation brand has more recognition and the pulse just have more features overall
Tune buds by JBL suck when I output voice and gaming to it the sound will go from high to low volume with no bass hopefully the in zone don't have that problem.. just ordered in zone buds
Yep! you can def artificially increase their max loudness with the new EQ settings for the PULSE explore. Def still not as loud as the InZone Buds though those have their own laundry list of ease of use cons.

Your review is great but you have totally denied that there is audio lag? There is definitely a lag in audio on all the earbuds you have talked about besides the inzone and Sony explore. You can definitely and easily tell the difference between lag of Apple pod pro 2 and inzone buds. Inzone buds are less than 100ms and Apple pod pro 2 is around 1/4 second. The only reason people are buying these new Sony ps5 specialized earbuds is because of the audio lag. Can’t believe you can’t tell. I definitely can tell. BIG ADVANTAGE OF THE INZONE!!!
I'm actually leaning more Pulse Explore now after they released the EQ update. But yes, InZone Buds still the choice if you're looking for exceptionally low latency + quality sound + high volume. As for the audio latency, man, you and other people keep saying that but I swear I just played another COD match using the Avantree bluetooth adapter + AirPods Pro 2 and cannot perceive any difference in audio latency. Certainly not a big enough difference to affect my performance/gameplay at least. I.e. I play just as good with the Avantree bluetooth adapter as I do using the Sony InZone buds or Pulse Explores.. just 1 man's opinion though 🤷
Hey Afraz, no, at least not that I have noticed. Responsiveness seems just as good using the bluetooth dongle with AirPods as with using the 2.4 ghz dongles on the gaming earbuds. I'm sure there is technically a difference, but unless you really have an eye for this/ are pro gamer or something, I don't think you will notice.
Yep all those regular buds have a minimum ~200ms audio latency (12 frames of latency at 60fps!!!) because of the Bluetooth codec's used. That Switch Bluetooth dongle shown does support AptX LL but none of the buds used here (while good quality for music) support that low latency codec. Unless you're playing a strategy game, the lag it terrible and distracting. But if people say the really don't notice then yolo - they can save some money on gaming-specific gear like the two sets of Sony gaming buds.

I played plenty COD matches back to back to see if it made literally any difference to my performance and I just couldn't get myself to say that it does. Played better on the airpods pro plenty of games and better on the pulse explore plenty of games and better on the inzone buds plenty of games.. just no consistent pattern of benefit to the lower audio latency that I could perceive.
The delay on these donlgles is ridiculous, you cant be serious when comparing SBC from the pods that bluetooth codec suuuuucks with more than 300 ms of delay to the pulse explore with zero delay ofr the Insone buds 30 ms delay,. Where you drunk when reviewing? Also, none or these sound as good as the Arctis Nova pro wireless , you got to be kidding! Hahaha 😂😂😂 I got them too and the nova pro wipes the floor with both of them. Also, change the ear tips on the Pulse explore. Try simething like the Asla Sedna Xelastec and youll see the true power of paner magnetic druvers. I still agree that the Inzone arre better but as you may already know, there was an update on ps5 for pulse explore and you can now customize the eq, this also helps with max volume when you increse the values to positive, also provides a walk through and side tone settings.
The Bluetooth dongles? have you tried em? I legit tested back to back for hours couldn't perceive a difference in latency and especially not enough to affect my gameplay. No, but I assume you were when writing this comment. Out the box, they both sound better than the arctis nova pro to me. As I said, sound quality is subjective so I and many others may disagree with you and that's okay, no need to throw a tantrum. I even think the Sony WF1000-XM5 earbuds sound better than my AirPods Max. First time hearing about those ear tips! looked up on amazon and just ordered 👌 Ya, I added in pinned comment the new update for pulse explore. Def makes them more convenient package overall than the InZone Buds. Especially with the inzone buds not being able to be controlled via PS5 master volume and game/chat controls. Such a big miss. I honestly don't know for the iPhone 15 plus..I just did a google search and some sites saying iphone does support bluetooth LE audio for hearing aids, but I know for a fact the Sony InZone Buds doesn't connect via Bluetooth to my iPhone 15 Pro Max and other reviewers out there said the same 🤷🏻♂️

There should be 2 buttons. One has a + and -. The + symbol usually means raising the volume and - means to lower the volume . If these symbols don't exist, you could try pushing the buttons on the buds themselves to find out which one raises the volume or lowers them.
@@joesipr when you are connected to your phone with the pulse explore, I think you can only control the volume from your phone. The controls on the earbuds only control game volume on ps5 or whatever you're playing on. There's no bluetooth volume control on the pulse explore earbuds

I have the Inzone earbuds for a week now, but I find the quality very disappointing, zero bass, I also have Galaxy Buds Pro, which I bought in Sail for a few euros (€40), but the quality is so much better. and the bass too, the sound of the Sony inzone earbuds is so flat, is this normal because they are gaming earphones for FPS games or is there something wrong with my Sony Inzone buds? , I also connected them to the PC and tried the different EQs there, but I didn't hear any difference,...
Hey Enrique, really? the bass boost EQ on PC makes them sound really good to me (but I liked them initially out of the box too) so maybe it's a sound preference thing. For reference, I think the sound out of the steelseries arctis nova pro is flat no matter what I do 🤔

Weird since they're using the same drivers though. Maybe it's an EQ thing? idk enough about optimal EQ to comment on that. One things for sure though, I still really like how the InZone Buds sound in game on ps5 and my ROG Ally. I also just added game/chat mix controls using the PC app so excited to see how that works. Weird that they didn't include those controls out of the box since they basically blocked ps5 master controls from being able to control these buds. The Pulse make the inside of my ear itchy and a bit sore after a couple hours or less, the inzone I can wear for hours and it's comfortable. I don't have LE audio on my Samsung s21 ultra so I have to use the dongle which sucks, but when I upgrade my phone next time then I'll make sure I get one with it. The dual connectivity with the pulse (game and music/phone calls) is nice but to be honest with you not having it, I don't miss it with the inzone. I'm on PC now so the inzone are better, the pulse I wouldn't get if you're not on playstation because you can only adjust the EQ through the PS, where I can use the inzone app on my PC for those buds. Comfort alone it's no contest, inzone all the way, if that's not a big thing for you because you only game an hour at a time and you have mostly PS equipment then the pulse might be a better choice.

I have both the Inzones and the explorers. The Inzones are nice but the fact that you can only adjust EQ settings on PC tells me that they are primarily designed for PC gaming and PS5 gaming is secondary.
If you primarily game on a PC then I’d say the Inzones are for you. If you mostly game on PS5 then the PULSE Elite/Explorers are the best option for you.

Pure sound quality. Inzone Buds or Pulse Explore?
Out the box, pure sound quality, InZone Buds. But, changing EQ is very cumbersome and you need a PC. So, that might be what makes you lean Pulse Explore (i.e. ease of changing the EQ direct via PS menu).
So Inzone is the only one with eq ? And that’s on pc and does transfer over to ps5 correct ?
ya the settings remain saved to the earbuds when you switch the dongle back over to the ps5
IDK if this is true, but I've thought about it over and over again in my head the reason why the InZone Buds uses a low tech Bluetooth version is because their drivers is thesame as the WFXM5 so if they made it a Bluetooth compatible to new phones such as iPhones then it would compete against the WFXM5. That's why their sole purpose is only for gaming.
Hey Sean, could be! I was thinking the same but then also LE Bluetooth is just lower energy so it means much longer battery life. But then again doesn't matter when gaming using the dongle which is the primary purpose. So you're probably right.. bluetooth LE works with my google pixel 8 pro though! which is nice

@@rainmakerhd6959 Assuming ur referring to the Razed Hammerhead Pro. Haven't tried them personally but based on Amazon reviews they have a lot of reported issues with charging. So if ur primarily/only playing on ps5, I would definitely stick with the pulse explore earbuds.

If you ask me the inzones shouldn't exist, im glad there branching out to the pc market and the other products are good, but the playstation brand has more recognition and the pulse just have more features overall

Tune buds by JBL suck when I output voice and gaming to it the sound will go from high to low volume with no bass hopefully the in zone don't have that problem.. just ordered in zone buds

Yep! you can def artificially increase their max loudness with the new EQ settings for the PULSE explore. Def still not as loud as the InZone Buds though those have their own laundry list of ease of use cons.

Your review is great but you have totally denied that there is audio lag? There is definitely a lag in audio on all the earbuds you have talked about besides the inzone and Sony explore. You can definitely and easily tell the difference between lag of Apple pod pro 2 and inzone buds. Inzone buds are less than 100ms and Apple pod pro 2 is around 1/4 second. The only reason people are buying these new Sony ps5 specialized earbuds is because of the audio lag. Can’t believe you can’t tell. I definitely can tell. BIG ADVANTAGE OF THE INZONE!!!
I'm actually leaning more Pulse Explore now after they released the EQ update. But yes, InZone Buds still the choice if you're looking for exceptionally low latency + quality sound + high volume.
As for the audio latency, man, you and other people keep saying that but I swear I just played another COD match using the Avantree bluetooth adapter + AirPods Pro 2 and cannot perceive any difference in audio latency. Certainly not a big enough difference to affect my performance/gameplay at least. I.e. I play just as good with the Avantree bluetooth adapter as I do using the Sony InZone buds or Pulse Explores.. just 1 man's opinion though

Hey Afraz, no, at least not that I have noticed. Responsiveness seems just as good using the bluetooth dongle with AirPods as with using the 2.4 ghz dongles on the gaming earbuds. I'm sure there is technically a difference, but unless you really have an eye for this/ are pro gamer or something, I don't think you will notice.
Yep all those regular buds have a minimum ~200ms audio latency (12 frames of latency at 60fps!!!) because of the Bluetooth codec's used. That Switch Bluetooth dongle shown does support AptX LL but none of the buds used here (while good quality for music) support that low latency codec. Unless you're playing a strategy game, the lag it terrible and distracting. But if people say the really don't notice then yolo - they can save some money on gaming-specific gear like the two sets of Sony gaming buds.

That's a crazy technical spec difference then 😯 but ya, I guess I'm one of those people that can't perceive the difference in actual gameplay. I played plenty COD matches back to back to see if it made literally any difference to my performance and I just couldn't get myself to say that it does. Played better on the airpods pro plenty of games and better on the pulse explore plenty of games and better on the inzone buds plenty of games.. just no consistent pattern of benefit to the lower audio latency that I could perceive.
The delay on these donlgles is ridiculous, you cant be serious when comparing SBC from the pods that bluetooth codec suuuuucks with more than 300 ms of delay to the pulse explore with zero delay ofr the Insone buds 30 ms delay,.

Also, change the ear tips on the Pulse explore. Try simething like the Asla Sedna Xelastec and youll see the true power of paner magnetic druvers.
I still agree that the Inzone arre better but as you may already know, there was an update on ps5 for pulse explore and you can now customize the eq, this also helps with max volume when you increse the values to positive, also provides a walk through and side tone settings.
The Bluetooth dongles? have you tried em? I legit tested back to back for hours couldn't perceive a difference in latency and especially not enough to affect my gameplay.

Out the box, they both sound better than the arctis nova pro to me. As I said, sound quality is subjective so I and many others may disagree with you and that's okay, no need to throw a tantrum. I even think the Sony WF1000-XM5 earbuds sound better than my AirPods Max.

Ya, I added in pinned comment the new update for pulse explore. Def makes them more convenient package overall than the InZone Buds. Especially with the inzone buds not being able to be controlled via PS5 master volume and game/chat controls. Such a big miss. Does dongle connection works with iPhone 15 series.Im thinking to buy Sony Inzone earbuds and I have a 15 plus.
I honestly don't know for the iPhone 15 plus..I just did a google search and some sites saying iphone does support bluetooth LE audio for hearing aids, but I know for a fact the Sony InZone Buds doesn't connect via Bluetooth to my iPhone 15 Pro Max and other reviewers out there said the same 🤷🏻♂️

There should be 2 buttons. One has a + and -. The + symbol usually means raising the volume and - means to lower the volume . If these symbols don't exist, you could try pushing the buttons on the buds themselves to find out which one raises the volume or lowers them.
@@joesipr when you are connected to your phone with the pulse explore, I think you can only control the volume from your phone. The controls on the earbuds only control game volume on ps5 or whatever you're playing on. There's no bluetooth volume control on the pulse explore earbuds

I have the Inzone earbuds for a week now, but I find the quality very disappointing, zero bass, I also have Galaxy Buds Pro, which I bought in Sail for a few euros (€40), but the quality is so much better. and the bass too, the sound of the Sony inzone earbuds is so flat, is this normal because they are gaming earphones for FPS games or is there something wrong with my Sony Inzone buds? ,
I also connected them to the PC and tried the different EQs there, but I didn't hear any difference,...
Hey Enrique, really? the bass boost EQ on PC makes them sound really good to me (but I liked them initially out of the box too) so maybe it's a sound preference thing. For reference, I think the sound out of the steelseries arctis nova pro is flat no matter what I do 🤔
in the EQ I hear minimal to hardly any difference, I will contact the seller tomorrow and try another pair. but do you find the inzone buds sound quality comparable to your everyday earbuds? I can hear that the sound is good quality, but I'm just missing something special it sound so flat haha.

Weird since they're using the same drivers though. Maybe it's an EQ thing? idk enough about optimal EQ to comment on that. One things for sure though, I still really like how the InZone Buds sound in game on ps5 and my ROG Ally.
I also just added game/chat mix controls using the PC app so excited to see how that works. Weird that they didn't include those controls out of the box since they basically blocked ps5 master controls from being able to control these buds. Such weird decisions from Sony honestly makes me wanna talk to whomever made them and be like whyyy

@@seifbuys oh aha I am slow. I was looking into buying the ps earbuds but I might just buy that Bluetooth dongle to use my AirPods with my ps5 when I game late. My lg c2 tv has built in Bluetooth but there a tiny little bit of lag with audio though my earbuds when I game on ps5. I hope with that ps5 dongle I get better results. Thank you!
