Hey coming for someone who does. I was born at 27 weeks and been doing it ever since cause sensory issues for me it sensory and somewhat a trauma response from all the ptsd I had. But everyone is Different. Like for example when my anxiety is very high to the point I basically feel like I lock myself in my room my thumb and silky blanket is my comfort blanket and calms me down.

ok so yall not gon talk about how she overcame her addiction to drugs and alcohol? but shame her for how bad she looks?
She switched out an addiction to cocaine and alcohol and replaced it with a mental condition known as body dysmorphia called “bigorexia” or reverse anorexia. The addiction isn’t about what her body looks like, it’s about the dangers of using HGH and (probably) steroids. It’s not that she looks bad, which she doesn’t (for female bodybuilders) it’s the addiction and mental illness that go along with it.
The problem is shes doing more harm to her body, not that shes ugly. Shes absolutely beautiful, but with the nonestop working out, hormones, and to much protein she's slowly killing her body. She replaxed one addiction with another, and thats so sad!! Shes beautiful so I pray she gets help

I sucked my thumb until I was 17 years old. It wasn’t until I went to college that it dawned on me that I had stopped without realizing it. I had been sexually abused at home and once I left home, I was allowed to be myself and stop fearing that abuse.

Adult thumb sucking is far more common than people think. It usually stems from childhood trauma that hasn't been addressed. For many, the things they experienced were so normalized they don't even realize they went through trauma and that seems to be the most common scenario for people needing to soothe with thumb sucking. I have seen it so many times and it almost always resolves when the trauma is addressed. So if you are an adult thumb sucker, please do a real evaluation of potential childhood trauma.

I have a thyroid issue, it pushes into my larynx & causes a quiet, deep voice. I wouldn't be surprised if all the supplements she takes is causing swelling in her neck, or if it's from muscle growth. & Over years, with HGH & tons of protein, someone can get that big without steroids. She prob takes tons of stuff that boosts testosterone.

I work as a vocal coach and I think she got a node from weight lifting so vigorously. Singers are discouraged from doing super intense upper body workouts that requires grunting and adding stress on the neck area. I think she’s actually amazing I just hope she stays healthy taking the hormones
Well she wasn’t. She admitted herself that she takes Anabolic steroids.i think that’s where the nodules came from. It’s also obvious that the steroids use is affecting her voice. She says she thinks she looks so feminine, but she really looks and sounds very very masculine. I hope she stopped the steroids use.

I have this “strange addiction” of sucking my thumb. I’m 22 and only do it to go to sleep or when I’m extremely stressed out. It calms me down in many ways, I never understood why I had this habit or why I could never stop doing it but I’ve done it all my life even in primary school I would zone out and not even know I was doing it. I have very bad anxiety and I’m assuming it stems from that... my parents were never comforting emotionally or physically and it is very comforting when I do it to sleep. I wish I could stop, but no luck. It is very soothing and helps when I’m feeling hungry, stressed or very tired. If I have trouble sleeping I can suck my thumb and knock out within minutes I hate that I still have to do it to go to sleep peacefully 😔

I stopped at 14. It was soothing. What really helps me is giving everything to Jesus and He truly helps me with my stress. I also had a blanket which was my pillows lip. Id get so mad when my mom would wash it. I stopped suckijg my thumb but got this weird tick where I would smell my thumb frequently like a tick. Lasted a few years (till like 16). Im 30 now and no lie, when I gave my life to Jesus, it helped me SO much and I didn't feel i needed to. I hope you can cope if it bothers you.

My aunt is in her mid 40s and still sucks her thumb. She only does it at home and in the presence of our family. Seeing her do this was just normal when I was growing up and when I got older I asked why she hasn’t stopped. She says it just comforts her and helps her relax. Only thing is that her teeth do have an arch but other than that it doesn’t affect her life. I don’t see anything wrong with it tbh 🤷🏻♀️

i sucked my thumb up until i was 15. went to the orthodontist and they gave me this nail polish looking stuff so everytime i placed my thumb in my mouth my whole mouth would get this funny feeling / taste🤢 i stopped a week later!!! and was able to get braces a year later

I had a girlfriend who did this. For months she hid it from me. I finally asked why she always puts a blanket near her face when we are watching movies or TV and she confessed. I told her it was no big deal and I wanted her to be comfortable around me, so she kept doing it but didn't try to hide it anymore. I don't know why people think it is so strange.

I sucked my thumb for as long as I can remember. I got picked on in schooI a lot over it. The teachers encouraged it because they thought it would get me to stop. I pierced my tongue when I was 19 and it helped. But when I turned 25 I started smoking and the thumb sucking totally stopped. I started going to therapy after my marriage fell apart, and a few years ago after a lot of testing I was diagnosed with autism. The thumb sucking was considered "stimming behavior" and because I hated myself for it, I replaced it with something that's gross, addictive, and potentially deadly. It was better for everyone if they saw a cigarette in my mouth instead of my thumb.

My parents have gotten divorced and remarried three times now and when I was in my teens that’s when I made my mind up that what they did was not going to affect the path of my life.. and so I guess my realization is that some people don’t have that sort of mentality..

I sucked my thumb until I was 16. I was also abused physically and mentally and never given a pacifier. It was one of those habits I tried breaking but as soon as I was stressed it was my comfort. I STILL have a special blanket.
