+Christopher Parsons I know they aren't long enough, but posting a full hour + video is too much, cut that into series (and yes I know they have done so too for some video-series). I'd rather read the books (and yes I've done so for a few Diablo and Warcraft) and play the games than watch several hours on each character or major event.
To the people complaining that Nobbel or Disguised Toast should have done it... Please grow up and find something more mature to argue about. So what if multiple people look at the lore? It just diversifies the community as different people find their own takes on the lore and have different ways of presenting it.
The old gods are legitimately my favorite part of Warcraft lore. :) I love the Cthulhu style they have and I love how this carries on to other blizzard games. Since it is pretty much confirmed that the old gods where alien to Azerot,h I wonder if they are at all similar to the Xel'naga/Amon. I would love to have an old god expansion in WoW as well; I am extremely glad that the new hearthstone expansion is about them.
Christian KS well, too be fair, warhammer was most likely inspired by LoTR, and LoTR was based off of Norse mythology, but either way you make a good point.
wait is Medivh's son still actually canon? I assumed we just sort of ignored that those comics ever happened after the original arch about Varian, explaining the old incomplete quest chain about his kidnapping
That's a lot of Cho'Gall references. I hope this means we're getting him as a new warlock hero instead of just being a card. There's not many notable warlocks in wow other than Cho'Gall and Fizzlebang but he's already a card.
have some respect for James here. he works way to hard for these lore of the cards video's its a big surprise to me that blizzard approached a less popular channel to do it instead of a well-known one which i suppose is their way of trying to introduce us to new content by other people even if you think someone is better at it
oh fudge... they mentioned THAT THING. Please no.... THAT THING and any lore directly associated to THAT THING must not ever be considered canon, let it rot away in a the comic nobody wants to read.
+Jinxtah This "random dude" has been making Lore of the Cards videos for over two years. Next time do some research so you can avoid looking like an idiot.
silvsilvsilv Ouch did I hit a nerve? I didn't say he just started out. But he isn't well known. In fact, he has under 14k subscribers, where as Nobbel87 has over 350k and is most likely the most famous (and well liked) "lore explainer" of all things WoW. He also does incredibly in depth stuff and would have been the obvious choice for such a thing. ***** nah, I checked. Nobbel was there first. Not that such a thing matters of course. Nobody can lay claim to doing fan lore explanation of a video game universe.
+Jinxtah Are you sure? Nobbel has only 7 cards in his hearthstone lore playlist, all uploaded in 2016. SixGamers' 'Lore of the Cards' series has 56 cards covered so far, the first being uploaded in 2014. And no I suppose it doesn't matter, but 'random dude' is rude given the effort that's gone into his work.
+PureH I want to edit my comment to add in that lore of the cards was younger than Nobbel's first warcraft lore. In fact, Nobbel started his lore with the story of the Old God's and the Titans. He also covered plenty of other lore characters and more in depth too.
stop hateing on six gamers he started making lore of the cards way before nobbel did, his videos are realy good and I think he deserves more recognition for all of the blizzard games lore he does
Actually, Nobbel made Warcraft lore videos before Six Gamers started the Lore of the Cards series (though Nobbel started to talk about Hearthstone cards only just recently). Six Gamers even said once that Nobbel acted as inspiration to their lore videos. Nevertheless, they're both great.
"The true gods of Earth existed long before our ancestors crawled mindless upon the shore Yog Sothoth, Shub Niggurath, Nyarlathotep insatiate, tenebrous monsters, whose ultimate throne is Chaos. Greatest of all is he called Cthulhu. Only in ancient, blasphemous manuscripts can that name be found and those who decipher it are left pale and numb, aware that in the very act of decipherment they have become both pawn and prey of an ultra worldly power that renders human existence both tenuous and trite. The Old Ones were, the Old Ones are, and the Old Ones shall remain long after they have devoured us."
actually the most powerful of them all is Azathoth, sleeping but once he awokened, reality itself ceases to exist, for realities multiverse are only fragments its dreams
Wait, I thought C'Thun and the other Old Gods couldn't be killed, or else Azeroth would consequentially be destroyed as well. So why did C'thun ultimately still die?
+Chaos3000and3 Old Gods don't die when their "body" is killed. They die only if they're teared off from the planet. When titans did that it created a giant wound on the planet which is how they realized that killing them would destroy Azeroth.
+Isgris LoLGaming Count Editing recording rendering uploading all of this can take a day or maybe more and if the number increases two times a year its almost impossible to do
+Magician12345 It is stated in WoW that the Titans resided in the crater during the war. The titans created many different life forms in the crater which is why it is populated by exotic life. There are some pylons that are implied to stop the Qiraji from advancing any further into Kalimdor.
This video is very well done and you people attacking it because some other guy didn't do it should be ashamed of yourselves - but of course, you're not, since judging by your posts you must all be spoiled children.
Oh is Medan cannon now? I thought it was still uncertain... i was kinda hoping he was not as he is a mage/priest/shaman hybrid and the reason for this is due to his parentage. When has genetics been a factor for magical skill, i know certain races have more natural magical ability but this reasoning does not fit that well.
He had to keep this short, but he really wanted to say: "If you've been blessed by the Titans, consider hitting the Like button. If your under the influence of the Old Gods, give the video a dislike."
who wrote this history of WoW, I lost the plot was too focus on getting armor and PvP and forgot the plot of the game ,Its the plot connected with the dungeons or raids?

+slycoop1997 A new book that just came out today explains it. The TItans literally plucked an Old God out of the planet (that's how big the Titans are), but doing so damaged the planet irreversibly. When we kill them we don't tear them out of the crust like the Titans did.
+Drake Arron You do your research. Nobbel started on Warcraft Lore with the Old GOds and the Titans at Feb 19, 2013. (watch?v=eV0lDPKGJSg) The first Lore of the Cards was started on Jan 29 2014 (watch?v=5ovONXHAWtA) almost 10+ months after Nobbel started it.
+Primus de Pedos what Hearthstone lore? The only piece of lore in Hearthstone is League of Explorer, the rest is just retold stories of Warcraft and World of Warcraft which are made fit for the audience of Hearthstone. Hearthstone lore (until they make more League of Explorer Adventures) is just Warcraft lore.
+Christian KS Has there been any proof that Me'dan is not canon? Just asking since from what I've seen of Legion alpha (and current game) it seems that at least some parts of his story arc are still canon.
Christian KS Yeah, I know I have actually read those comics. The reason why I asked was because like I previously said it seems like some parts of his story arc are still part of the canon. There's also the fact that the events from the comic's Varian arc are brought up regularly both in books and in game which makes your claim about comics being non-canon sound a bit unlikely. Has there actually been any confirmation from Blizzard that comics are non-canon? If there hasn't been, I don't think you can really blame Six Gamers for making a "erroneous" video since unless Blizzard says otherwise it's possible that it's still canon (despite the mess that Me'dan is).
Christian KS So, if I'm to understand correctly, there's been no confirmation and you're just angry because he mentioned Me'dan? That's a bit unfair if you ask me. Look, I'm not a big fan of Me'dan either but I think that including his storyline just shows that Six Gamers did a thorough job which shouldn't really be something to be frowned at, especially if there hasn't yet been any official confirmation that he is wrong. For all we know Blizzard's claim that Me'dan "is doing stuff in some other world" might still be true. Sorry, but until guys at Blizzard actually say that "he never existed" I don't think you can really complain about "misinformation" in this video.
NO! LET TOAST DO IT!
#ToastForBlizzard
Nobbel, Blizzard is stealing your job
+With Wildhide This accent is slaughtering my ears. + Few min vids can't replace Nobbel's swaggish voice and +10min lore videos :)
+Mesisir The original uploader of this is Six Gamer and he has been doing this kind of videos for a while now (including also 1h+ videos)
+With Wildhide 1 hour video is too much for a single character in any Blizzard lore to be honest.
Christopher Parsons I just can't stand that accent. Kills my ears...
Just a PSA for everyone, this is Six Gamers, who has been doing Lore of the Cards (Storm/...) for quite a while now.
+CaptainKnödel Nobbels been doing lore longer.
PureH Six Gamers did lore since beta, though. But who actually cares, we are not TheFineBrothers
CaptainKnödel Nobbels done lore since Before hearthstone was in beta.
no...I dont want Me'dan to be cannon...
...
+Shadow Bringer Blizzard already said he isn't cannon.
+stephanjacob17 No they didn't, just the opposite. He is canon.
A cannon is what pirates use to shoot at other ships.
The word you're looking for is canon.
+Shadow Bringer I don't want Me'dan to be the Hulk either but you saw the picture 2:24
Nice summary. Never really been into WoW's lore, but this is kinda neat.
To the people complaining that Nobbel or Disguised Toast should have done it... Please grow up and find something more mature to argue about. So what if multiple people look at the lore? It just diversifies the community as different people find their own takes on the lore and have different ways of presenting it.
I clicked on this thinking it was a Nobbel video
+Tactical Squid Ditto, expected him to narrate it
+Tactical Squid LOTC is far better.
+Tactical Squid Lel, same here :D
Im waiting for Nobbels reaction to this ;]
+polterghost I couldn't agree more. ;)
+polterghost Wut
Yo six gamers I'm so glad you're doing this you do such a good job on this
Woot, gratz on your official lore of the cards video!
Thanks for the C'Thun recap. This expansion is going to be quite awesome! Love me some Elder Gods.
WE WANT NOBBEL!
Excellent job explaining the lore of C'thun!
Nobbels??Why??
+Hearthstone Highlights - Funny,Lucky,Best Moments he isnt Nobbels.. nobbels is dutch and has a dutch accent .. .. this guy is british..
TIL: The hole Warcraft Lore is stolen from H.P Lovecraft
+Zagrash Uchiha and Tolkien
+Sonic Shoe and warhammer
What exactly from Warhammer?
Zagrash Uchiha as I understand it, the original warcraft basically was a generic digital adaptation/re-imagining of warhammer's game play.
Christian KS well, too be fair, warhammer was most likely inspired by LoTR, and LoTR was based off of Norse mythology, but either way you make a good point.
James!! grats on having a video on the Hearthstone channel buddy!! this is pretty amazing.
This is not a random dude. It sixgamer it makes the lore for hearthstone
Good work! Lore is always entertaining :)
Nice to see Six Gamers getting more recognition.
wait is Medivh's son still actually canon?
I assumed we just sort of ignored that those comics ever happened after the original arch about Varian, explaining the old incomplete quest chain about his kidnapping
Very Well done! Btw I saw your video being shared on Hearthpwn! Congrats on that and hope you keep on making awesome videos!
Hoping for a Cho'Gall card in Whispers now.
animegx45 you received it
I love to see Six Gamers here, I love his videos =)
That's a lot of Cho'Gall references. I hope this means we're getting him as a new warlock hero instead of just being a card. There's not many notable warlocks in wow other than Cho'Gall and Fizzlebang but he's already a card.
This is the best theme of an expansion the hearthstone team ever designed the old gods the curupted cards, the warshipers, everything is perfect.
This is awesome! I would love some credits for the art used here, though. Some of it is super cool/pretty!
Its funny that they show the Ulduar azeroth when it doesnt have pandaria
+ignacio sarasibar Nobbel uses that for his videos about the Titans and the Old Gods as well
Oh cool six gamers. Would of liked to hear nobbels voice but Six gamers will do.
have some respect for James here. he works way to hard for these lore of the cards video's its a big surprise to me that blizzard approached a less popular channel to do it instead of a well-known one which i suppose is their way of trying to introduce us to new content by other people even if you think someone is better at it
is there any possibility that the xel'naga from starcraft are the same beings known as the void lords in warcraft?
oh fudge... they mentioned THAT THING. Please no.... THAT THING and any lore directly associated to THAT THING must not ever be considered canon, let it rot away in a the comic nobody wants to read.
+Mr.Dragon I hate Meda.. that thing...
Why not have Nobbel do it instead of some random dude?
+Jinxtah This "random dude" has been making Lore of the Cards videos for over two years. Next time do some research so you can avoid looking like an idiot.
+silvsilvsilv This guy from the SixGamers channel has been doing really well produced lore of the cards videos for a while now, perhaps before Nobbel.
silvsilvsilv Ouch did I hit a nerve? I didn't say he just started out. But he isn't well known. In fact, he has under 14k subscribers, where as Nobbel87 has over 350k and is most likely the most famous (and well liked) "lore explainer" of all things WoW. He also does incredibly in depth stuff and would have been the obvious choice for such a thing.
***** nah, I checked. Nobbel was there first. Not that such a thing matters of course. Nobody can lay claim to doing fan lore explanation of a video game universe.
+goober Nobbel has been doing lore since early 2013, has a fairly large following and widely respected because he sources a lot of material.
Pls do more comics Blizz, or atleast do something with Broll and Valeera in Legion.
'Under the gaze of their God's great lidless eye..'.
Yeah, I wonder what that reminds me of.
that moment when Nobbels thunder was stolen
@hearthstone hey, could you give us the lore behind klaxxi buffing C'thuN? They were serving Y'Shaarj so this seems pretty wrong
Please make a million more of these :)
+noelwiz peter Go to Nobbel87s channel or the Sixgammers channel. Nobbel87 is my personal favourite.
Man, old Warcraft lore was so much more interesting compared to the fanfiction tier mess that's unfolding now.
You just did Nobbel's job. Still, this seems interesting. :P
+Davis Productions well six gamers series lore of the cards is older than when nobell started talking about hearthstone
+Notfridge Guy Hearthstone lore is warcraft lore so yer.
Nobbel started a lot of the Warcraft lore that eventually got made into Hearthstone cards. That was before lore of the cards.
+PureH I want to edit my comment to add in that lore of the cards was younger than Nobbel's first warcraft lore.
In fact, Nobbel started his lore with the story of the Old God's and the Titans. He also covered plenty of other lore characters and more in depth too.
Primus de Pedos I... f***ed I thought a comment was deleted when it wasn't. my bad

1:24 Sauron is that you?
YES SIX GAMERS DONE MADE IT BIG!
Hello. Who can make the text for the subtitle? I will be very grateful, I find it difficult to understand spoken English.
Where is Nobbel?
Didn't Nobbel make a video about Cathon
The most relevant thing i learned from this video is that Medivh's son looks like Beast Boy.
How do I get cthun in the upcoming update of hearthstone? Is it craftable
???
+zonder staart check your packs mate. After that it will pop itself. Its not craftable
Andre Kurnia Putra so you have to be lucky to get him in a pack?
No. Everybody will get C'Thun
So we ready to make Med'an canon now?
+McC1oudv2 no
Six Gamers Y U no on your own channel?
Is there a german version of this?
"The true gods of Earth existed long before our ancestors crawled mindless upon the shore Yog Sothoth, Shub Niggurath, Nyarlathotep insatiate, tenebrous monsters, whose ultimate throne is Chaos. Greatest of all is he called Cthulhu. Moaaar! For every card in HS!
+Isgris LoLGaming impossible
Medic are you saying its impossible to make 500 videos like this with the card number increasing two times a year? xD
+Isgris LoLGaming Count Editing recording rendering uploading all of this can take a day or maybe more and if the number increases two times a year its almost impossible to do
VSGU TheOPCrown I understand that.. I was being kinda sarcastic to the comment above.
oooh yeeeees
Yes, more lore please!
So this means Medan is part of the official lore?
Wait didn't Blizzard retcon Med'an? I'm so confused...
Dammit Blizzard, I was trying to forget Med'an ever happened.
I think they should've added the reveal of one of the cards in this video :
So... no new cards, then?
Should get Nobbel to do these
Blizz - Hire Nobbel.
wow so if they came from technically space i wonder if that's what ungoro crater is.
+Magician12345 It is stated in WoW that the Titans resided in the crater during the war. The titans created many different life forms in the crater which is why it is populated by exotic life. There are some pylons that are implied to stop the Qiraji from advancing any further into Kalimdor.
'hello and welcome' are you kidding me
LOL someone got a new job
They should introduce qiraji this expansion and aq bosses to play along with c'thun
I thought C'thun was never defeated, we just destroyed the body C'thun had been building
Gonna be honest, Nobbel does it WAY better
cool if they keep this series going!
Wait, are you telling me that the old gods are basically super aliens?
From a video of Hearthstone itself, I expected a higher video quality / presentation level than that of Nobbel's, and yet it's about the same...
It's because this video is made by youtube channel Six Gamers not by Hearthstone team.
Ah, that explains it! Thanks for the info.
soo ChoGall confirmed as new warlock skin then? ^^
So is Med'an cannon?
This video is very well done and you people attacking it because some other guy didn't do it should be ashamed of yourselves - but of course, you're not, since judging by your posts you must all be spoiled children.
Cathune? Don't you mean See Thun? C'Thun see?? Also aren't the 4 elemental gods classed as the old gods as they are the old gods of the Titan Azeroth?
Pretty sure this has been done before
disguised toast made some heavy impact here o.o
+TheEpicCrabble Nope
PureH i actually expected some sort of argumentation, but a simple nope helps me out a lot :)
***** Just wanted to quickly put my Opinion out there. :)
Keep em coming
Um... I dont remember any of this...
Is this like from the MMO wow?
Fearl Wat dood?
+LastSider Its the warcraft lore From the Books and some from in game, but mainly the books
2:42 RASENGAN?????
Medan is back boys! Time to do anime about Medan !
So cool!
Yup, Nobbel will respond.
Heeeey !! Where is Nobble ? :(
He had to keep this short, but he really wanted to say:
"If you've been blessed by the Titans, consider hitting the Like button. If your under the influence of the Old Gods, give the video a dislike."
I waited for Disguised Toasts video about this but i guess this works?
Is this a Disguised Toast video or what? :D GJ Blizzard!
Wow I knew this voice sounded familiar, looks like someone got a new job.
I don't get it, so the titans couldn't kill the old gods because it would mess up the world, but then some heros kill him and nothing goes wrong?
Needs millhouse manastorm
Med'an not retconned? PogChamp
who wrote this history of WoW, I lost the plot was too focus on getting armor and PvP and forgot the plot of the game ,Its the plot connected with the dungeons or raids?
I am not a wow lore buff, but I hear inconsistency here. The titans left the old gods alive because destroying them would destroy Azeroth, but the Alliance and Horde were able to kill C'thun without there being any repercussions? That doesn't make any sense to me.
+slycoop1997 A new book that just came out today explains it. The TItans literally plucked an Old God out of the planet (that's how big the Titans are), but doing so damaged the planet irreversibly. When we kill them we don't tear them out of the crust like the Titans did.
wtf is this nobbel copy paste
weissnicht01 | Nicky_Zocking cool
+Catfeud You mean summarizing wowpedia articles with pictures taken from wowpedia?
+weissnicht01 | Nicky_Zocking Nobbel does Warcraft lore that eventually formed the basis of Hearthstone lore. Since 2013.
+Drake Arron You do your research. Nobbel started on Warcraft Lore with the Old GOds and the Titans at Feb 19, 2013. (watch?v=eV0lDPKGJSg)
The first Lore of the Cards was started on Jan 29 2014 (watch?v=5ovONXHAWtA) almost 10+ months after Nobbel started it.

Love how everyone wants nobbel for these.
Who is Nobbel?! A lore channel?
+Ben Thor +- agree. Best lore channel ;p : Nobbel87
So how did adventurers kill him if titans couldn't kill old god, and had to imprison them?
+Matti Ratilainen The Titans had to imprison them because if all the old Gods are to die, then Azeroth itself will be destroyed
OfficialMadMan So now that adventurers killed one what will happen?
Nothing that i know of its only if all 5 Old Gods are killed
OfficialMadMan So why didn't titans kill 4 gods so that there would be just one giving world problems?
I have no idea
