Can I just say that I REALLY fucking love how you acknowledge the artist before getting into the meat of things? Card artists get shafted so often, and it's really nice to see someone giving due credit to them.
Fandral Staghelm (you said in the Druid of Flame card lore that you were waiting for him to get his own card.) also Hallazeal the Ascended and Anomalus, i looking for something redeeming in the latter.
This is seriously the most interesting Wow lore I've ever heard, and it's just the first one I happened to watch of yours. It explains so many weird details, like what Ossirian's crystals are for, or why he's the only one with a hawk head.
Just finished watching another of these videos, and a new one pops up! Woohoo! Time to look at one of the most powerful cards in hearthstone huh? Also, been loving this series since I found it, the way you explain the lore and tell it makes it feel very dramatic, like listening to a story teller ad not a history lesson, so you're doing great on keeping attention. So in short, keep up the awesome work.
Trolls are so badass. Night Elves had to get the help of four dragonflights to barely defeat the Qiragi. Trolls defeated the whole Aqir race on their own and killed a faceless general in the process.
+Christopher Parsons If I may add Night elves were under the influence of well of eternity and their Queen was at the time Azshara also known as the most powerfull sorceress in the world.Troll tribes werent united as they were when they were fighting aqir also.Zandalari didnt wanna fight since they belived they cant win Azshara with lust for power didnt really care about trolls she just wanted to expand the empire. Also trolls sufferd heavy losses during the war with aqir. When trolls fought Aqir they made them split up so Night elves fought less aqir then Trolls did.But in Night elves' defense Trolls are literally fearless they are like kamikaze, night elves had some fear of death but trolls had non. Night elves originate from trolls btw. Trolls are awesome...
Christopher Parsons Probably yes. What is also worth mentioning that Azshara wasnt the leader of night elves during the shifting sands and they were weakened by the burning legion attacks in first war.
+Chris Williams I will likely do a Zerus vid, I'm thinking after a Cho'Gall and Fandral vid though :). Will cover the faceless and the legendary faceless that have been added with Whispers
+Patrick Nugee Not all can fly. The wall was also magical in nature so likely had defenses to prevent the flyers from escaping :)... Totally thought this as well looking at the art and when I first saw it in game etc
+iamDeej Anubisath and Tol'vir are mentioned in Warcraft Chronicle... In all honesty the Ossirian info was from Wowpedia, it references a link that has since been archived by Blizzard so this is the only record for this info.
I am starting to really like Fandral. He reminds me alot of Kael'thus Sunstrider who is my nr 2 favorite lore character. They were both powerful leaders of there people, both wanted nothing but to help there people but both were driven mad by tragedy. They both are elevs and use fire magic.Such a striking resemblance don't you think.
+Vlad the Impaler I think the most important thing about both of them is they seemed so true to their convictions to start, making it all the more tragic the way they changed. Kael was the reason I rolled Belf when I first started, hoping to have him as my leader... I wasn't happy when I found out what happened :P
+Vivi Dice Very observant :). This happens a lot in WoW a basic model being given a new skin to give an entirely new race etc. For example the Draenai base was used for the Mogu in Mists of Pandaria
I'm confused, you talk about the gurubashi fighting for ahn'qiraj and then splitting into the gurubashi and zandalari, but I thought those two tribes are on different continents. am I missing something?
+Aaron Scoggins They are different tribes, sorry didn't communicate that clearly enough. The Zandalari formed the empire of Zul to bring the trolls together as a single fighting force. Due to their position atop the Zandalar mountains, the Zandalari were in a great tactical position to advise the other tribes and the other tribes respected them. That's why when the Zandalari advised the Gurubashi, they listened. The Troll Aqir war took place while Azeroth was still a single continent.
alot, so far they've covered two raids, and vanilla wow, and sporadic lore items (like fandral), in reality they probably have ~30%, definitely less than 50% covered or something like that
the more i watch these videos the more i want hearthstone to represent the dragonflights more, like have a few cards from each flight, and each flight having a unique power akin to there aspect already in the game, because dragons are cool and i want to use less evil ones
just if they make an anime series for all of this lore thank u for his jobs hope u can tell us about malkorok all i konws that he is a friend of garrosh
Wait a second, the aqir look like insects. Al Akir says "like swatting insects". Do they have anything to do with each other or is it just a coincidence?
Most likely it's not related. I mean the four Elemental Lords used to fight the Aqir and the N'raqi (faceless ones) before they lost and were enslaved by the Old Gods. But I assume Al'akir and Ragnaros are just calling people insects out of hubris and due to their massive physical size.
The more I hear about the Old Gods, the less I like the lore surrounding them. I liked WarCraft better when the biggest threat to the world was the Burning Legion of demons, not a bunch of slimy tentacled bugs.
The Old Gods are alien of origin, not native to Azeroth. Their goal is to corrupt the sleeping titan soul of the planet by corrupting every single living thing on it. I think that's pretty hardcore.

Why don't you keep the theme of this series talking about another one of Azeroths races,The Faceless ones, and while you are at it you can talk about some of the faceless one legendays such as Soggoth,Volazj and Zerus
Zerus is, as far as I know, a HS original character. Soggoth was one of the strongest commanders of the Old Gods. Twenty Mountain Giants were needed to defeat Soggoth. He's dead now but you can visit his massive remains in WoW in Darkshore at the Master's Glaive. The Glaive that was used to kill him still sticks inside his giant skull. According to old lore that's because removing the weapon would've given him time to regenerate his wounds and revive himself. Currently there are many Twilight Cultists to be found around the Glaive and they probably want to figure out how to resurrect him.
+Vlad the Impaler Faceless will come up again. Just holding fire as people got a little bored of me talking about the Old God's origins, so giving it a break. I like to explain it afresh each time just incase newbies click. OnlyRoke is quite right about Soggoth, I will likely cover most of the legendaries when I do the Faceless.
+Six Gamers no rush man, amazing vids as always. I wish I could explain the feeling I get when I see you have uploaded a new video, keep up the great work!
+Azure X Really? This expansion has reinvigorated it a little for me personally, found Argent tournament the most lack luster one so far, though I did like the idea of inspire. Ah well, different opinions.
Can I just say that I REALLY fucking love how you acknowledge the artist before getting into the meat of things? Card artists get shafted so often, and it's really nice to see someone giving due credit to them.
+Da Shieldmasta Thanks! I do want to give credit where it's due, especially since there are so many talented people out there!
THE FEAST OF LORE BEGINS NOW!
Twin Emperor Vek'LORE
:3
This is way better than any other Warcraft Lore video I've ever seen, thanks for going in depth with the War of the Shifting Sands!
Fandral Staghelm (you said in the Druid of Flame card lore that you were waiting for him to get his own card.) also Hallazeal the Ascended and Anomalus, i looking for something redeeming in the latter.
+Gabriel T. Harris Anomalus has an amazing animation at least
+Gabriel T. Harris I will definitely be covering Fandral. Hallazeal and Anomalus would make quite a nice mini episode
Six Gamers so i should stop[ asking than?
Feel free to keep reminding me :). Let's me know there's a demand for it!
Can you shifter zerus next? He's cool but I don't know his lore. Great video man!
Same he's op
+1
He's hearthstone origin, he has no lore in wow
+Alpha Sanismar I always thought he was the one trying to awaken them all. I think it was in a text somewhere.
+Don Juan Zerus dose not have any lore what so ever, he is a legendary specific to Hearthstone, but the race he is part of dose have lore.
This is seriously the most interesting Wow lore I've ever heard, and it's just the first one I happened to watch of yours. It explains so many weird details, like what Ossirian's crystals are for, or why he's the only one with a hawk head.
+Joe Hanson Glad you enjoyed it!

Probably yes. What is also worth mentioning that Azshara wasnt the leader of night elves during the shifting sands and they were weakened by the burning legion attacks in first war.
+won1853 Trolls are my personal favourite race
if my memory are correct isn't Elves descendent of troll ? So did they fail their ancestor?
Great video, managed to pull a golden twin emp nice to get some lore on them!
+jame9169 Awesome!
Thanks a lot for doing this! Great as always!
+endlesshorizon Thanks for watching!
+Six Gamers Love both the card, and the video!
It's a bit much to take in, but I think it's one of the most enjoyable videos you've ever made. Keep up the great work! I'm a big fan. Thanks!
+bloodySunday77 Thanks! I appreciate it!
Could you please do Nature gods next ? I know nothing about them ...
+MCS_MCS Would love to, there's so much I'd love to cover and I want to get to it all eventually!
Anyone feeling up for a Shifter Zerus video?
He is not in WoW
+MTGGeeksGaming But his race is, so he can still do a video.
+Richard Conway yes but there are so many other awesome characters in this set that deserve a video way more
+Chris Williams I will likely do a Zerus vid, I'm thinking after a Cho'Gall and Fandral vid though :). Will cover the faceless and the legendary faceless that have been added with Whispers
that video gave me a lot of nostalgia with raiding Ahn Qiraj back in the days.
+OnlyRoke I joined in BC so never got to experience it properly :(
Could you do a series on the notable weapons of hearthstone/warcraft such as. Doomhammer gorehowl ashbringer ?
+Javo even the arcanite reaper that Saurfang seems to be wielding in that art.
+Javo I did an episode on the Doomhammer :) I do need to get back into writing some of the more fringe lore after this little Old Gods run!
How cool would it be to have a Warcraft 4 and get the quiraji race playable as a wow version of the zergs ??!! nice video, lots of memories in there.
+BLEKH DEKH I just think it'd be cool to get warcraft IV :)
It's insane how much lore is written for Warcraft.
fandral staghelm would be fun, cant wait for the cho'gall video he was my favorite character in wow lore
+Jordan Goularte One of my favs too, hope I do him/them justice!
Would love to see a video about SI:7 Agent
+TheRealAndiBar Sweet... though surely Disguised Toast should be doing that :P
Yes! I was hoping you'd make this video soon :)
wait can the kirage (yeah i dont know how to spell it) fly?
how did a wall stop them?
It was more of a magical barrier to my knowledge.
+Patrick Nugee Not all can fly. The wall was also magical in nature so likely had defenses to prevent the flyers from escaping :)... Totally thought this as well looking at the art and when I first saw it in game etc
Saurfang the badass... why isnt he a card yet??
+Alvin Kae Cabato (KingGuy) We'll possibly meet his son soon enough once the temperature lowers to match the icy citadel he resides in.
+Alvin Kae Cabato (KingGuy) Simple... He'd be too OP
Where did you get the material about the anubisath, tolvir, and Osirian?
+iamDeej Anubisath and Tol'vir are mentioned in Warcraft Chronicle... In all honesty the Ossirian info was from Wowpedia, it references a link that has since been archived by Blizzard so this is the only record for this info.
what can be an Twin Emperor replacement ??
I am starting to really like Fandral. He reminds me alot of Kael'thus Sunstrider who is my nr 2 favorite lore character. They were both powerful leaders of there people, both wanted nothing but to help there people but both were driven mad by tragedy.

Me too
Lore Of The Cards: Wisp
I'm sure you could talk for hours about what they are and their origin.
They actually are rather mysterious and interesting. They did kill Archimonde, after all.
Did the Twin Emperor Boss encounter reuse Nightelf models? xD
+Vivi Dice Very observant :). This happens a lot in WoW a basic model being given a new skin to give an entirely new race etc. For example the Draenai base was used for the Mogu in Mists of Pandaria
great video as always!
I'm confused, you talk about the gurubashi fighting for ahn'qiraj and then splitting into the gurubashi and zandalari, but I thought those two tribes are on different continents. am I missing something?
or rather that those two tribes are on a different continent from tanaris which is where ahn'qiraj was
+Aaron Scoggins They are different tribes, sorry didn't communicate that clearly enough. The Zandalari formed the empire of Zul to bring the trolls together as a single fighting force. Due to their position atop the Zandalar mountains, the Zandalari were in a great tactical position to advise the other tribes and the other tribes respected them. The Troll Aqir war took place while Azeroth was still a single continent.
Ah. The last part was the piece is the puzzle I was missing. I kinda figured that was the case but didn't know for sure. Thanks
I'm curious about the dragons' lore.
+PunkPimster You and many others. When I revisit some classic cards I plan to do a bit of a dragon aspects epic :D
Got the notification for the new video as I was watching the new video. God damn I am early. lol
I want any lore on nerubian prophet
+gage lesto I cover the nerubians in general in my Anub'arak video, check that out to learn a little more :)
Approximately what percent of Warcraft lore is yet to be added to Hearthstone?
alot, so far they've covered two raids, and vanilla wow, and sporadic lore items (like fandral), in reality they probably have ~30%, definitely less than 50% covered or
something like that
+Bob Shanely You can probably refer to a lot of it in Hearthstone but the surface has barely been scratched. Still a lot of Legendaries to come :)
the more i watch these videos the more i want hearthstone to represent the dragonflights more, like have a few cards from each flight, and each flight having a unique power akin to there aspect already in the game, because dragons are cool and i want to use less evil ones
+mlp_Firewind There's definitely more room for dragons in HS
Welp, why can't I have a guard Obsidian Destroyer, or Anubisath?
awww yiis another episode
Love these!
just if they make an anime series for all of this lore
thank u for his jobs
hope u can tell us about malkorok all i konws that he is a friend of garrosh
Sooo should keep it or get my 400 dust?
400 dust unless you run Cthun decks
Keep it- it's fantastic and a must have in any C'Thun deck. If you don't play C'Thun ever, then don't use it.
You are telling me that they are bug people?
Wait a second, the aqir look like insects. Al Akir says "like swatting insects". Do they have anything to do with each other or is it just a coincidence?

+Jorian Ter Poorten No real relation just like referring to those they see weaker as insects... what OnlyRoke said :)
The more I hear about the Old Gods, the less I like the lore surrounding them. I liked WarCraft better when the biggest threat to the world was the Burning Legion of demons, not a bunch of slimy tentacled bugs.

+Abelhawk The Legion is still the biggest threat to the world. The qiraji were easier to deal with than the scourge.
great one
+Sam T Thank you!

+Nathan Ritscherle someone's salty

+MrMexikin Hope to do him next
+Six Gamers no rush man, amazing vids as always. I wish I could explain the feeling I get when I see you have uploaded a new video, keep up the great work!
SHIFTER ZERUS PLOX
+Leith Mat Not next but soon
Would you please have my children?
+Owen Butternubbs What to babysit? ;P
no longer having fun with hs idk what it is but the game just died especially after this expansion
+Azure X Really? This expansion has reinvigorated it a little for me personally, found Argent tournament the most lack luster one so far, though I did like the idea of inspire. Ah well, different opinions.
Nx nx nx.
