Victorian Iron Horse Steam Round Up - Cumbres and Toltec: PREVIEW

- To celebrate 50 years of tourist hauling operations, the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad hosted the Victorian Iron Horse Round-Up. This event brought together four steam locomotives that date back to the late 1800s. Two of these, the Eureka and the Glenbrook, were 1875 built wood burning locomotives. All four of these engines pulled special trips over the railroad from August 21st through August 30th, 2021. A full video of the event will be posted in the coming weeks but in the meantime, here is a quick preview of some of the special trains that were run during this event. Check back on September 24, 2021 for the full video!

And By The Way, Mister Mike Armstrong, What Can I Say, I Love Steam Trains and/or Steam Locomotives so Much Too, You Know. :-)
Beautiful view!
Pretty cool video at the Victorian Steam Round Up. I’m going to the Strasburg Railroad on September 5th 2021 behind Norfolk & Western 611. It’s going to be my first time to ride behind a 4-8-4 “Northern” steam locomotive.
Nice! Have a good trip!
Great work! Im glad you got this opportunity wisely
Thank you! I am too!
I guess Amtrak and the cumbres and Toltec scenic railroad both have about the same anniversaries. Cumbres and Toltec began in 1970 and Amtrak began on may 1st the following year.
Oh these are my favorite steam locomotives. I wish that I could see them in person, but don't think that will ever happen. Thank you for sharing this, showing these amazing locomotives.
You're very welcome! Thanks for watching!
@@CoasterFan2105 I really appreciate your videos and you explaining different things. Thanks again!

Man seeing all this footage is really making me regret not checking out the Antonito to Osier half of the line when I visited the railroad a couple of months ago. Great video as always! I can't wait to see the full thing.

Great footage, especially around the 2 minute mark with both trains in that long shot! How long has the C&T had white stripes on the wheels of all the rolling stock used for this event?
Thank you, Joe! I'm not sure, but I haven't noticed it in the past. It appeared on several of the cars I saw there, including ones that were not being used on the excursions.
I've never seen that mogul before
So that's how they consist two locomotives if they don't have couplers on the front...
Hey its been a while I did not know you still uploaded
Every Friday!
@@CoasterFan2105 oh cool

How many locomotives attended the event? And what were their numbers?
There were five pre-1900 locomotives in attendance. Four of them pulled excursions during the event.
Will this be a full length narrated video?
Yes!
@@CoasterFan2105 I ❤️ your full length narrated videos because the exact same thing happens on 📀 and Blu-Ray.
