I love your picks and your positive discussion about the Bears direction.
Go WR, triple threat with two good TE and Second year Johnson and Swift. If Caleb can deliver it could be the best offense the bears had in my 55 years.
I agree but need a center
@@nathancampbell1588 It sounds like we got two Centers recently. But if that's the case we would trade down to take Oregons Center who's supposed to be one of the better Centers in recent memory.
I like the triple threat. With 3 great receivers, one of them will get open and the line strength won’t matter so much. Top centers are usually found toward the bottom half of round 1 but can’t miss receivers never fall that low. WRs are hard to hit on after round 1. Lots of boom or bust
@StewMain6 true but if the snap is 5 ft over his head the qb might miss open wrs... case and point jf
I think from all I’m hearing (I’m a sports writer) that it’s either going to be Odunze or Verse. If they decide it’s Verse, then they will likely trade down to get an additional pick. Verse and Sweat would be nasty bookends. They might decide that in such a deep WR class they should take the edge rusher in the first round bc the quality at that position drops off drastically in the second round, but the drop off at WR isn’t as drastic. Then after the draft they will likely add another veteran WR via free agency to help with the development of their new rookie QB. That’s the way I’d go if I were them.
I look at it like this. There’s a good chance the Bears will be picking outside of the top 15 next year. The odds of finding a good, starting Edge in 2025 is better than finding a WR comparable to Odunze. Take the chance on a star WR while you can.
YES
Good edges are found in the top 3 rounds all the time. Look at the top edges in the NFL you've got 3rd rounders in there.
Don't over draft developmental guys when you've got Rome or nabers sitting there. And if they're not there trade back one of the 3 edges will fall to you.
I agree but mainly because Keenan Allan is more in the mold of a Glass Canon.
Yes he is amazing when in the field, but he is injury probe and turning 32 this season.
Grab another weapon and absolutely spoil your rookie QB with weapons to avoid failing yet another QB.
@@JJ-zr6fuwrong top edge talent only 1st rd WR anywhere
Would QL Fashino be worth a top left tackle for the future.
1st pick ) Caleb Williams 2nd pick ) Dallas Turner 3 rd pick) Brenden Rice . No trade downs . If your making a playoff run you go for quality over quantity.
OMG this is the ideal first round mock draft for the Chicago Bears. 🐻⬇️
At #9 Jarred Verse I think the Bears will go wide receiver in the 3rd round and o- linemen with the 4th round pick
If the Bears can get Rome Odunze, that would cement them as having the best receiving corps in the NFL and give their quarterback a much-needed boost. With DJ Moore providing the YAC, Keenan Allen just always getting open, Cole Kmet going down the middle, and Rome outjumping defenders to take away rushed throws, any quarterback would look good. I don’t know that he will still be available at 9, but getting him would be enough to convince me to go against my Plan A of trading down to get more picks.
Why do people forget that defence wins championships. WRs will Always be findable
Great stuff guys....I concur 100% !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vikings just acquired a 2nd 1st round pick so they might move up an take a Qb eliminating another pick in the top 8
Thats interesting but who is gonna be trading partner I dont think top 5 teams would trade out and Titans need OT badly That leaves possibly Giants and Falcons...Bears qre not trading with Vikings....
We also have a the Panthers 2025 2nd rounder. If Poles finds value I’m sure he can couple that pick and trade.
If that's the case I'd rather package that move up and take Malik Nabers!
We have two capable starting centers in Coleman Shelton and Ryan Bates (huge improvement from last year). Poles is definitely having his 5th rnd pick Braxton Jones start again at LT to prove himself.
So that leaves us with WR and D-line. 9th pick options: WR if available (Nabers, Odunze), Edge (Turner, Verse) or DT (Murphy II, Newton). I would be happy with any of these at 9 or a small trade back to 13, 14 to grab one of em.
Bears are a very young team bringing in a rookie qb Abd with the draft not being deep I only see them moving the 9th if all the WRs are gone but then it probably means alt is there.
Or dallas
someone excellent will be there. really hoping they don't trade out
@@Ep1cRainbow All these mock drafts I've seen has had top 10 players tumble to late teens except for WR. I'd rather they trade back if none of the three make it.
@@grindn10101 I'm not high on turner not great production in college. Rather the bears pick up a 1 year free agent
@@JJ-zr6fu not even for Alt? I agree, but I think 4 qbs go in the top 5, so either Nabers or Odunze should be there at 9
Go Edge. It is one of the biggest issues we have had on defense and not answer this off season. We can definitely get a WR in the third that will work well in developing behind Moore and Allen. I'd be upset to see us grab a WR no matter how good he is. Caleb's biggest weakness at USC was his defense. Bolster that up and give Sweat some support and that in turn gives Caleb a bit more breathing ability and not have to feel like he has to put the entire team on his back.
Rome won’t be there at 9 but if he his - take him. If not. Take an Edge.
I think 4 qbs get taken then you’ve got alt 2 WRs and the falcons probably looking at edge. If the falcons don’t take a wr it likely one will fall.
Nabers!!!
@@grindn101011% chance he is there
@@JJ-zr6fuagree if Vikings move into top 10 we are looking at Odunze or Turner or Alt if Vikings trade with Titans
I hear the Falcons could lose #8 for tampering!
Need a 2nd ED more than a 3rd WR. This draft is teeming with WRs and can find a very good kne in the 3rd. Verse is the pick here, its also the 2nd most important position in football.
If Dallas Turner or Joe Alt, no hesitation then at #9. I'm Ok with taking Odunze at #9 too, but I do really want help at DE and C in this draft class!
Odunze had great ball skills but didn’t seem to get much separation at the college level.
Trade up for the explosive Nabers.
Chop Robinson is a Beast Edge! I would be very happy with Odunzi also.
That name alone is beastly😤
It would be the best possible outcome
With three QBs and possibly four with JJ McCarthy occupying the top 9 spots that only leaves six or five options. So let’s say teams value/grade the OL higher or the WRs higher either way if the Bears don’t trade down which I hope is the case you could either have a stud OL you thought would be gone or game changer WR fall into your lap. To me if Odunze is there you take him he’s a transformative player for your offense. Otherwise there are some serious OL candidates including Fashanu, Fuaga, and Latham. Personally I like Daniel Jeremiah NFL draft expert and of course all these guys sometimes get it wrong. But he’s pretty sharp in my book and all these OL are the top of his list after Alt. If the Bears pass up on Odunze or one of these major OL upgrades I think it’s a mistake.
Next years edge class is where you get edge. ODUNZE!!
Drafting and edge would make a bigger impact as compared to drafting a wide receiver
I do agree .. but passing on Odunz?? Yeesshh
Don’t draft for need. Draft bpa.
I agree but I mean we did mess up by not having many weapons for fields. He went through the struggle and grinder it out. Hell always have respect from me for that. Let’s not do the same with Williams and not have many people. As long as we can score, we will always be in the game
We need to go BPA at 9
Edge starting to look more likely at 9 imo
New England has been public that they aren't trading out of #3.
It's simple. If any of the top 3 WR's are there you draft him. If not you trade down.
Gotta go edge @ 9
Bye Bustin Fields. Caleb Will Be The NFC North Dad
Hope the bears get Darius Robinson
I would Take Odunze at 9 in a heat beat! And not be mad whatsoever. Dallas Turner is a gamechanger. Plus we need a 3tech so very bad. But I’d be over the moon with one of those two picks.
Dexter is a 3 tech and they also have pickens. You need to trust your guys to develop.
If you trade back to 15th, you could get Latu, and grab Sweat in the 2nd as a tank in the middle.
@@jamesweston4089 Also would not be against that. My point, still have options.
@@MrTSoukup76- The options are exciting man.
You get an edge rusher at 9. Its obvious.
Trade down #9 to #15 select Chop Robinson DE 4.48 40
Select Xavier Worthy WR 4.21 40 with 2nd rd. pick
40 time doesn’t matter bruh, Xavier worthy is gonna get folded. I’d rather draft a player with wr1 upside. And Chop produced half as much as Verse and Turner, and he’s kinda short
Agreed. Chop Robinson is in a tier below Dallas Turner and Jared Verse.
Chop's name is better than him as a prospect
@@ye7006i dont like either one I would father take Thomas He is stud and Sweat
@@ye7006 Danielle Hunter working on a Hall-of-fame resume had very little production out of LSU.
Trade #9 pick back a few spots to collect a 2nd round pick and then take an offensive tackle such as JC Latham to replace Braxton Jones then trade up the 2nd rounder to take Worthy
you aren't getting a second to move back a couple spots from 9.
You would have to trade back to around 15-18 to get a 2nd depending on how badly the team wants to move up
@@arodalan3961 If we do that, that's fine as long as we take the Center from Oregon.
Latham is a RT and Worthy is a bust to small.
@@TheMattTrakker If its a QB they're trading up for you might be a 1st.
Bears will trade down from #9 and still get Verse or Latu. Their third pick will be a WR.
I just hope he actually drafts Caleb Williams and does not trade back
No way Rome is there at 9
HELL YEAH jf STINKS CW TIME Bear down
"Their 4th round pick this year is Keenan Allen"
That would be great if Allen was 24 years old and was not in the last year of his contract..
Yeah that’s was a terrible trade by poles.
Instead we’re getting a 31 year old who just had one of the best seasons of his career, continues to be top 10, and is one of the best route runners in the NFL (if not the best). I promise you Keenan Allen will have much more of an impact this year than any other 4th rounder. Why are you mad about getting a WR1?
It’s a this year matters trade. If they can extend him a year- great- if not. We get Keenan Allen for a year. Not too bad.
@@Alpha-23 he’ll be 32 before he ever puts on a bears uniform. Why do you weirdos keep trying to lie about his age to make the trade seem less awful.
@@lucrative6477you get one the most qb-friendly WRs in the league to ease caleb's transition to the nfl. make it impossible for him to fail, you're not going to care about that 4th rounder 3 years from now. keenan's game is also not predicated on athleticism so he'll age better than most WRs
Poles is a finesse guy and he will get fleeced, now that everyone sees he can't hang onto draft picks
Jayden Daniels is the guy not CW! Our offensive line is still butt cheeks btw, we need O-line help! These draft picks are butt cheeks it's still the same scenario, stop lying to yourself! If CW is bad it's the same thing all over again stop with the circular nonsense, either we have to win now or everyone should be fired and we're doing this all over again next year!
Jayden Daniels is literally just skinny Justin Fields. Caleb clears Jayden Daniels (who was carried by two freak athlete 1st round receivers)
Jayden is one sack away from becoimg a pretzel.
Callboys is a bust. 🐻⬇️
Poles has drafted poorly, he missed on darnel Wright last year. We should have kept Fields and drafted a dominant center and guard
LMAO! 👑 Poles picking his own QB1. All GM's do that. DJ Moore: "Business is Business!"
Darnell is not a miss 😂
You have no idea what youre talking about.
This seems pretty par for the course when it comes to the cultists.
Are You Nuts? Bustin Fields He Gone. Bustin Is Trubisky 2.0 And Caleb Will Be Bustins Dad.
Daniels will be the Bears QB this year.....sorry man
