Either Verse or Latu. Normally I'd scared of taking Latu at 9 due to his medicals but if we move down a bit I'd be more willing to take a chance on him. If we go receiver, Brian Thomas Jr for sure.
IF we trade down from 9 and take an Edge rusher and aquire a 2nd round pick I'd strongly consider Xavier Leggette at WR who should still be available. He's a freak athlete and has size, can block, etc

I feel like verse has the most immediate impact, although maybe not the most overall upside as far as edges go in this draft. But at 6’4 250-260 running a 4.58 and putting up 31 reps on bench he’s a perfect fit for this defense.
Edge is the bigger need, but WR is probably the best value at #9.

WR, OT, DE, or trade down all good. Trusting in Poles. I think something to consider is what will be available in next year’s draft and free agency. If slim pickings next year at one of the positions, then prioritize that position this year.

Braden Fiske of Florida State Defensive Tackle. Bears scouts need to take a hard look. If Bears are hesitant on drafting a Oline man... I would skip drafting a WR and get that Defensive Tackle if possible.
What about an Offensive Tackle??
Our defense is pretty good let’s go get another elite player on offense.
I hope they do what ever they have to do to get one of those top receivers.

Look everyone knows Edge or DT is the biggest need so if we trade down 13-16 take Edge 17-24 DT but if one of the big 3WR are on the board at 9 I wouldn't be surprised if we took them.. my last three mocks I have trade down into the 20's and taken Murphy.. then and Edge in the 2nd round.

Poles needs to either pick the best player available at #9 overall or trade down to #12-#15 pick to get more draft capital
Trade down to teens + a 2nd round, take Latu, package 2nd round with next year 2nd to move back up into 1st take Powers-Johnson

It's a terrible idea to take Latu that high with the medical history.
Edge imo …. A top 5 defense ensures the ball gets back in the offenses hands and also ensures your in the game. Another elite edge just makes sense to me. Alt if he’s there tho bc you just don’t see elite tackles often. Plenty of diamonds in the rough at receiver in later rounds imo !

He’s more of a 3-4 edge whereas someone like verse is a 4-3 edge and we run 4-3. I could be wrong but I think that has something to do with it.
DE is the most important position we need along with another explosive WR
Wr is the bigger need. Period.
Allen is in his 30s and not under contract long. And has an injury history. So take him out of the lineup this year, its DJ Moore and who?!
Edge needs to be addressed but with our secondary it is serviceable. Our #9 pick needs to be a young stud WR to pair with Moore for the future unless you can restructure the Allen deal for years at a team semi friendly price if you are planning on extending him. And that is very clear as we will not have a top 10 pick again next year.

Edge certainly. They have two 1000 yard receivers. The teams next year will be double teaming Sweat and we need another pass rusher to put on the other side. Please recall how absolutely awful our defense was before we got Sweat.
