@@FDE-fw1hd throat bass is never a subharmonics. Subharmonics is when you can shift to head/chest voice with vocal cracks/fry that can loosen up the vocal folds/cords that can result into subharmonics. Throat bass and vibration isn't not considered but it is cool though
My twin and I spent a while last year during one of his visits singing the first subharmonic between us, partly as a proof that it is produced by the fundamental mixed with the fifth. We should try doing some more of these some time (though, we are both high tenors rather than basses). :)
So i listened to this in my car. Full blast of course. The last one you guys did was so interesting because it seemed like it resonated into my body. Crazy cool
The theory makes sense; bass guitar players have been doing it for a very long time. Phew, though, doing it with the voice and you both needing to hit pitches precise to each other - absolute pitch can very, but the intonation between you both had to be perfect. That is a crazy undertaking, for sure. Awesome job.
I'm sitting here after midnight when I should be asleep trying to hit the notes they're trying to hit by combining others and getting close. Great job fellers!
that wah wah sound reminds me of the sound when you tune the piano. when the individual strings are very close but not the same in tune it creates the same wah wah sound.
Once you can get to a lower level is there a way to increase the volume? Really belt it out? Almost to a scream. I sing the blues and I'm interested in singing similar to Blind Willie Johnson who used a false low voice. Thanks
This sounds absolutely gorgeous. Playing fifths that low on a piano for example sounds worse than you singing it imo. Sure On a piano, bass guitar etc. it is always a perfect harmonic fifth, but you, singing it sounds so much better. The difference is literally night & day. Also: I didn't see any comment talk about it, but is it normal, that some red marks slowly appeared on bobbys neck at 1:24? I'm kinda worried. That doesn't look like it should be. Anyway. Awesome video.
I'm gonna need some THICCer headphones for this lol, I don't hear most of them. Perhaps your mic doesn't pick up some either. Side note, Bobby has a crazy rich bass voice, I don't think I'll ever sing or speak like that.
Bobby's face when you can hear that first sub-subharmonic is priceless. Dudes like "Holy hell, this actually is working"
This is way too cool
Thank you bro 🙌 gotta teach you this technique soon 😉
Chuzam !!! ❤️
@Chezame woah

Onii-chan's secret weapon for 2022...
my guy just bursts out that eb1 like it was the easiest thing in the world
2:16 that one is actually insane
seconded
I know it’s the same interval, but i think 0:56 is better
As David Kahn would say: "More, give me more, give me MORE!"
🥸💕
Hahahahah
Who else thinks these 2 guys could do a cool colab doing Misty Mountains Cold from the Hobbit?
Omg yes!
Bobby has a really powerful voice, but David has an unbelievable range (and you taught me subharmonics)
I don’t know very many bass singers at all really that haven’t credited David with teaching them subharmonics as well as myself lol 😂
im a beatboxer and i have heard a lot of crazy techniques and sounds , but this base singing is mind blowing 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
Probably something that won't be used in beatboxing, but we'll see
@@FDE-fw1hd subharmonics in beatboxing is like. a whole thing. a good amount of low bassists use it i think. Not like, a lot, but a good chunk
@@suprememasterleader3355 subharmonics exists, but not this kind. Throat bass and vibration bass is technically subbarmonics, but not this one
Same here, I can use this for singing and also for musical beatbox.

2:05 is absolutely stunning to me. It sounds so ethereal.
3:12 I can literally *feel* this one
you will feel pulsing in the blondes voice
My ears have been blessed. Thank you.
Couldn't hear it the first time around, but after I went in and upped the bass on my headphones, it was much clearer
the content we need
Have you ever noticed that Bobby's speaking voice sounds crazy similar to Tim Foust's speaking voice?
0:47 my favoutite part, How low can y sing comfortable Bobby yes!
The second part of the video you nailed every last one, on the first part you really went in and out of them and it was beautiful to listen to
3:00 this one really stands out, also kinda sounds like a trumpet
1:56 unreal
Genuinely one of the coolest things I’ve seen/ heard
This is amazing, something so soothing about bass voice. 0:55 was my fav. Bobby's Eb1 was so freakin cool!!! :D

Dude, that modal stuff got me. Such an awesome video. And the dissonance on those 5ths OMG!
It sounded so pleasant to my ears. Well done, guys.
This is great!
The Harmony is right on point.😁
Maybe one day you and Bobby can do a song together.
So i listened to this in my car. Full blast of course. The last one you guys did was so interesting because it seemed like it resonated into my body. Crazy cool
the neighbours thinking david is getting abducted by aliens through the faucet

OH MY GOD I NEED MORE OF THIS IN MY LIFE
David: sounds like a dwarf, looks like an elf.
Me: visible confusion
Like wow, I felt the bronchi in my lungs vibrate with those last two notes! So THAT'S how you make subharmonics?! Sounds like witchcraft to me!
Damn! that's so cool! Could feel the floor rumbling through my headset lol!
So this is what happens when two subharmonic nerds are in one room...
I wish I knew a subharmonic nerd in person 😂
I’m a subharmonic nerd too lmao
This is fucking wild, the possibilities are endless
0:51 well damn
I'm sitting here after midnight when I should be asleep trying to hit the notes they're trying to hit by combining others and getting close.
Great job fellers!
Somehow this sounds so viking. Awesome!
Any chance of you two finding a way to use this in a song of some sort? Would be cool to hear what you come up with.
voices deeper than the mines of Moria
Bobby's eyes everytime yall harmonize 🤩🤩
You both are awesome! Definitely been following and learning with you two
This is AMAZING!!! 🤩🤩🤩
This is just freaking awesome!👍

That shook me, I loved the colab
I don’t know what you’re doing but I love it. Wait, I’ve got to go listen again.
Yep, love it.
This made my ears happy
I can only feel that subs in the last part
the Dune soundtrack was so spot on, hahaha. Awesome!
This is legendary
I see bass
I click
Same dude
Epico
Bobby's natural voice actually lower than my lowest subharmonic lol
the combination of the two of you together... that much bass should be illegal LOL! This was seriously cool though
What a good bass he is!
When the bass boosted, 10h version of the subharmonics???
You guys are making some freaky sounds straight out of that movie Annihilation
So inspiring! You should have shown him some beatboxing :D
Why was that so CRISPY
that sounds so sick! Good job guys!
I wanna be able to do this. 😩 I’ve been too busy learning beatbox to practice subs enough. One day….
Guys, that was monstrously cool!
im still stunned that you can count the number of vibrations with some of them
0:40 sounds like misty mountains
Two bros chillin' in the bathroom
2 feet apart
cause... they're singers (?)
This reminds me of the Mystics in the movie Dark Crystal............ ABSOLUTELY LEGENDARY
THIS IS SO FUCKIN DOPE I LOVE THIS, YOU GUYS ARE MIIIINT THAT SOOO GOOOD
bruh imagine if bobby started beatboxing
His neck turns red!!!!!! God daaaaaaaamn
What the hell is that ,they know more bass then codfish and inerta 😂
This sounds sick!!!

probably
because subharmonics in the right room are *very* loud
Just be careful I REALLY messed up my voice doing that. Those subharmonics filled the for the last time in about 3 months so far.
Me and the boys at 2 AM
I love how it’s just them looking like they’re bored and doing nothing
Someone make a spiritual track with all of these pleaseeee
Gosch is love this
If you ignore their heights, then David is an elf and Bobby is a hobbit
These are the angels who would be singing as the gates of heaven are opened to unleash the fury of the heavenly host 😂
0:12 that perfect fifth was THICK as FUCK
The neighbors when i am trying to fall asleep:
Ay yo this is david and bobby, and this a big big shoutout to swissbeatbox and my friend peppouni
Bro’s making my phone vibrate
How comfortably can you sing Like consistently
Bobby: *hits E1*
Fun video! I enjoyed this.

I was just wondering the same thing, watched as it appeared and was highly confused.
@@arronlong8750 I guess it's (hopefully) just a mark from previous scratching.
So nice! it's like me and my toothbrush
This was amazing ❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥
POV: me and my boy chilling in the bathroom
1:46 moment of the big bang. When all forces come together as one.
The C# were WILD
nice overtones!
beat boxing duets? would be sick to see/hear

Thats insane 😯
No matter how hard I try I cannot get my brain to hear the submarmonic pitches.
The last one is very clear with headphones ti the point i can feel and hear it
Makes think of the Mystics chord in the Dark Crystal from the 80's.
"What Are Two Guys Doing In A Bathroom"
*us* : 0:26
Mind blown
2:26 lol the 9th overtone right there
This sounds like the music from Ash Lake in DS1.
Dude compared to Bobby you sound like an elf. And not in a bad way. This is way cool
oh so it’s just the beat frequencies? makes sense
