That is a bunch of slides. Curious how it would do in the boulder gardens of Big Creek in the Smokies, but I assume very well, looking at the rounded sides and muted edge exposures.
How are you liking the Code and how does it paddle differently than the Mamba? I like the Mamba, but it always felt a little sluggish. I'd love to have some sportier that still kinda takes care of you. Was thinking this or the Scorch would be a good option.
Hey Wade. This is Brian. We met at Canoecopia on Friday, and I purchased the red S Code. I take back what I said about Dagger outfitting . I think my previous problem was that the M Rewind was just too big for me to start with and I had to max everything out in order to fit. I just spent some time setting up tthe Code and it was super easy this time probably because I fit well to begin with. You can now count me as a fan. I’m excited to get it out on the water when the rivers open up. The creek in this video is reminiscent of the Silver river in the U.P. What is it? Anyway, it was a pleasure talking with you and I’m looking forward to your next video.
Yeah, Buddy Good chatting with you up there. And this is the West Frk of the Tuck Its dam released so you could plan a trip down for this let me know I'm usually on this one great summertime fun!
Wade Harrison Hey Wade. I finally got my Code out yesterday. I’m glad I went with the small as it was super responsive in both smaller rapids and when the river consticted and things got big. I’m looking forward to getting it on a more technical creek.
Hey Wade, first of all great video. Been thinking about selling my medium machno (i'm about 150lbs) and getting a medium scorch (i'm pretty tall, so small might be a bit cramped). Been paddling that boat almost exclusively since i started kayaking. I'd say I'm an intermediate paddler, recently stepped up to class iv. Just wondering what the transition would be like, as i've heard people say the machno is "too good" and the scorch might feel a bit too twitchy or unpredictable in comparison. Thanks!
Yeah you will definitely notice those harder edges on the scorch and honestly holding onto the machno is not a bad idea because it will still be a good boat for low water type rivers the scorch will have a learning curve but it can be over came with a few good trips

One of the best put ins!
Yeah when you walk up close it’s even better
You have a name for all those paddle tricks we always see in your videos such as 10:31? It’s practically your call sign.
No I just wanted to do some fun stuff in the easygoing run out

I really like the code especially on rivers like this it’s got better now rocker and a wide center it’s a improvement over the mamba in all areas

I should also ad that it was a dry ride. Very unexpected from my past experiences with dagger boats.
@@briankrueger1142 I agree they seem to be assembled better
@@briankrueger1142 that’s awesome thanks for the feedback Yeah that boat shines on technical creeks
