- Today we steam hot dogs using the antique 100 year old Swartzbaugh Manufacturing Company Conservo made in Toledo, Ohio. The conservo is a canner and a steam cooker. Antique 100 year old cooker that was the first for canning and steaming at home.

That was my grandfathers business in Ohio thanks for the show
Just finished brazing some holes in ours last week! We’re down by Troy, OH. Brazing is the key to patching these old tin machines. We still use ours in place of water bath canning.
I just bought one for canning any tips?
I have been looking for a year and finally found one
Thank you for sharing a piece of History with us!
Thanks for the look at the antique cooker. Nice looking dogs. Thanks for sharing

It was fun
Nice to see the Conservo at work.
Its cool to play with

Thumbs Up an a New Subscriber for having the Gonads to really eat that stuff afterwards!!!!!!
Lol gotta try the food and see how it does
Your from the oil industry and have the top welders out there. Give that water base a lil love.
I know. Just gotta find the time and space
That’s pretty cool Hobo!
Mod free lol
@@elHobo except for the pan in the bottom. ;) I wanted to hear it whistle!
I ran that over charcoal for like 3 hours last weekend and never ran out of water.
Thats cool Hobo where did you find that
Canadian bbq sauce just same up here as down there. Depends on the company making it. You know that. Lol
That is really cool! I love antique cooking equipment. Awesome video Hobo. You touch the latch bare handed. Does the latch get hot.
Yeah Lew it gets hot. When the door sticks you can burn your fingers quick. I editted those parts out lol
Looks cool - whatcha gonna put in it next? 👍🏻
Pretty cool Hobo.
I remember the bun steamer my mom used to use on the stove. Always liked buns from it.
Tricked me for a sec. Where's the fire go? It's on the flat top lol. Cool equipment I've never seen before and would be great for canning lots of jars for sure. Looks like it could be a nice little cabinet smoker with charcoal in the bottom.
No air intake. Unless I cracked lower door and cracked whistle
@@elHobo Drill a few holes and add vents but some people might freak because it's old. A nice coat of high heat engine paint and you got a gem.
That's really cool, how did you find it?
Came across an old forum post early 2000's then started searching facebook marketplace. Got it six months ago just never did anything with it till last weekend
Can you use it as just a baking oven without adding water?
you should make those steamed burgers from the burger show.
It's on my radar
I wonder what the dimension are. Wouldnt mind trying to make one out of stainless steel with my T.I.G.
Does your neighbor know to cut his lawn when you’re doing videos?
But can you cook hotdogs in it?
Love your Trump sign!
That Diana’s sauce is shit. It’s not BBQ sauce. I won’t even waste my money on it
Tastes like ketchup to me
So did I really see a full grown man use ketchup on the hot dog? Okay I guess if that's what you want to be known for. Wearing thong flip flops too?
