I was blown over at the intersection of a minor road and a highway (me at the standstill) from the bow wave of a passing cattle truck. The minor road was gravel and I couldn’t keep my footing.
the biggest problem on a naked bike going into the wind is being lifted up out of the seat when you tuck. as for cross-winds, i just let the bike 'fall out' from under me, letting it the wheels move outwards in the direction of the wind, the top of the bike leaning into the crosswind while keeping my body in place upright, the the bike self-rights itself, pulling itself back up under me.. its barely an issue. probably easier to do in an upright position

I think you overestimate the impact thatd have
