Not going to disagree. Midrange bikes are perfect for the street and love my CB as you know. This said, riding something a bit larger, definitely you do not need to use it to its full potential but if you're not fanging it on the street, the bigger engine can also make the riding more relaxed - at least that's how I feel on the odd chance I ride them.

Hello mate, im riding mt07 and its vrry good in city, but styling and looks of rebel is really going for me. But does it feel slow after mt07? Rebel 1100 is too bulky for my city with horrible hooorible traffic.

Actually bewer motorcycles do have abs installed so in the rain or in bad weather the bike doesnt slide out from under you but it might cost extra to get abs installed in s9me locations...

Bikes are arguably safer because everything is manual and you don't have as many "safety" features. All the safety features car manufacturers pack into these things desensitizes people from the dangerous 4000 pound 80 mph death machine they're driving like it's nothing. If I were one of those engineers, I'd be stripping all that shit out of there as soon as I could.

What are your thoughts on ABS. Some people find the stopping power mushy.

It’s a cruiser bike. Meant for people in the city “experience” real riding. It is what it is.

I brought a brand new bike. and yes I found a patch of road where ABS was actually the worst possible thing to have. I took it off the road & into the ditch and stopped there as there was no slowing down on the road while it was covered in wet Moss, but as it came to a stop it slipped over, & scratched up the mirror and Factory Hand guard... So as you can guess, I couldn't have scratches on a bike with only 3000kms on it. so, I now have Barkbusters with the "Storm" covers & Africa Twin Mirrors. And looking into manufacturer supplied crash bars to make sure nothing happens to the plastics.

I got a V-strom 250SX, and to start with, It seemed pretty quick around town, It still leaves most cars behind. but now... I really wish I had gone for the CB500X instead. It would have scared me to start with. but what scares me more is how the light as hell engine allows the bike to get blown around in the wind more than a bike with larger engine. on the open road the 250 really struggles, but that's probably a good thing as it stops people from trying to go too fast for too long. the cruising speed is about 95km/h (105 on the speedo) and above that it gets real buzzy real fast, so not pleasant above the speed limit. and that's probably a well-executed plan to keep inexperienced people safe! while I agree now that the 471cc engine would be better. it because of the experience I have gained that I would be OK on it, but if I started on it? nah, that's crazy! The weight difference... It's down low, and not a problem if it weighs more down low, it makes it safer in the wind without being any harder to manoeuvre. with the centre of mas being higher due to the lighter engine... that's a problem. but the power difference... the less is much safer for an absolute beginner. while I often open the throttle and wish it would accelerate harder. it took me a few weeks to get close to being comfortable with the 26hp... 47hp would not have been enjoyable in those first few weeks!

MT-10... you know you want to! maybe an MT-09. but nobody would be upset if a Tenere 700 appeared, The ergo of an ADV is why I went for a V-strom 250SX... the lack of power, switchable ABS and Hazard lights are all reasons why I probably should have gone for a Honda CB500X. I prefer the look of a sports tourer more than ADV's. But the Subaru of the bike world can be a heap more fun in a lot more places than a Mercedes! Oh... the wind. My bike is very susceptible to being blown around. Thats another thing to add to the list of why to get a bike that has more weight low down and very little fairing. good gear stops the wind bothering you, so who needs fairing to act as a sail??

I got caught in a freak rainstorm in the weekend. I had my Motodry jacket on (chosen for the fit... not the price. don't judge) but that was the only rain resistant gear. otherwise it was summer gloves, and Denim pants. and full-length touring boots, but that's normal. The rain was quite light when it started, and I thought, at the open road speed, I'll dry out fast enough. so I didn't stop and put my wet weather gear on, even though I had it on board. And then... it pelted down so hard it felt like Hail, I saw a deep patch of water on the road, had time to think "I'm maintaining my line" then I got a huge Aquaplane sending the rear wheel into a crazy spin and the revs went to the limiter (in 6th) for a second before regripping... but the worst part, I was two hours from home and my crotch was still soaked when I got home!

There are plenty of videos on you tube mate 😊 You might took at American BBQ programs, when it comes to smoking meat, thry are great. There are many on flavours and the best ways to prepare the meat. Some great videos on making jerky as well. Might be a good idea for a Chocky Milk Squadron run? Bring your own meat and milk 😊

The tiny p*nis part sold me the bike lol, I have yet to pass the license here in France but I always wanted to ride a cruiser since I was a kid. that’s the only kind of bike that I want, I want it to chill, to enjoy the road. I was wavering between this one and the Kawasaki Eliminator 500 but I think the rebel 500 will be my first bike once I get the licence ^^
