    I have a 2011 Camaro v6 I can’t put more than 3 dollars in gas in it or it goes into limp mode. If I put 5 in it it goes into limp mode if I put 3 it does fine but I have to stop every 30 miles and put 3 dollars in the tank. Any suggestions please?

      I also have a 2011 v6 camaro, but haven't experienced anything like you did. But it sure loves the fuel like if it was kool-aid. Every 2 days 20 bucks in the tank.

    In the 70’s a mechanic would know what was wrong and there wasn’t diagnostics. Today you need to do diag or you can spend too much on the parts cannon 😮

    Have a 2002 Camaro SS and on warm days after driving and it’s hot I can park it for 20 min and start it but then it tends to stall once when I come to a stop. Is it the gas or? Has new plugs, alternator, battery and fuel pump. Has 230,000 miles

      Have you had an oil and or transmission fluid change? Would be a good idea if not. Also check the spark plugs and ignition coils. Could also be fuel injectors or O2 sensors maybe. It’s 2002, so might be time to replace some small parts if you have t already.

    My 2014 Camaro suddenly had an issue where while I was driving the engine suddenly shaking violently, I smelled gas and smoke (smoke wasn’t visible though) and was driving rough, not responsive at all. Thought it was spark plugs but the mechanic said it was a blown head gasket and changed some ignition coils. And now he took the engine apart because there seems to be another issue which he’s still trying to figure out by trial and error. It’s been 2 weeks though.

      That sounds catastrophic! I understand how trial and error can be a paradoxical money pit

    A lot of the Standard Motor Products parts I bought for my Ford were rebadged OEM. They grind off the Ford name and part number and sell it in a Standard box.

    • @partsshooter
      @partsshooter  Рік тому

      That explains why they fail 😆 🤣 😂.
      Not many manufactures around here producing parts, just like batteries. Wouldn't surprise me that they're coming from the same warehouse

      @@partsshooter I mean what better option is there other than OEM? If Standard is selling OEM rebadged parts at a discount, that's what I go for.
      Anyway, I just discovered your channel today and I am quite addicted. I learn something from every video.
      I just finished watching the 2 part video on the Ford transit and I was quite nervous considering my 2002 Ford Focus ZX3 uses the same 4F27E transmission as in the 2012 Transit if I'm not mistaken. I try to take care of it as much as I can. I recently flushed the tranny with Mercon V and the fluid I took out was clean of any contaminants and it shifts pretty good. This tranny probably wasn't the wisest choice by Ford for a work van and this one in particular may have been hauling a heavy load for long periods at 3rd gear if that makes sense.

      @moshet842 oem is best, I agree...
      I'm kinda rooting for the aftermarket realm though. Besides cost effectiveness to oem, the upgrades to aluminum from plastic oem in instances are partially a driving factor, no pun intended lol.
      Autozone actually sells gm oem and Honda crossover parts, advance auto has some oem VW parts. Best thing aftermarket wise I can do is get the highest quality they offer and cross my fingers.
      Hell... I've had folks at the dealership tell me their parts off the shelf fail also. I don't feel as bad.
      Thanks man... hopefully I can get better at getting more interesting cases. Very competitive on this internet, lots of smart guys to compete with on this internet!

      @moshet842 yes, you make sense.
      On identifix, those transmissions were a high failure amongst similar case studies regarding shift issues or no engagement. You should be fine since you keep your fluid service
