You forgot that the AAM-3s have better performance than the 9Ms. AAM-3s pull 40gs vs 30Gs for the AIM-9Ms.
theyre almost identical. Tests have been done and there is almost NO difference between the two. The f15j is almost a straight downgrade since it just so much heavier

@raksomething6942 i havent any live server tests on the AAM3s yet but so far they have a huge wobble issue causing massive drag as well as pull not feeling any different (ive read that turning only increases after motor finishes burning due to energy) but needs verification

@@Null24 its only around 2000lbs heavier i think, and most of it comes from the j's ability to carry more fuel internally than the a variant. its engines produce a bit more thrust aswell tho so they are pretty similiar in performance althought the aam3 are better than the 9ms. -> F15J on top, japan rules RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH 😈
The difference between Su-27 and J-11 is kinda weird. Su-27 is lighter, but J-11's engines (for some reason) produce more thrust than Su-27 (even though engines are the same), and overall thrust to weight ratio on J-11 is higher, so it should accelerate faster. But yeah, thanks to J-11 weight, Su-27 is more maneuverable.
I don't know how anyone puts the F-15 above the F-16. I'd rather fly the F-16 any day of the week. For me personally, the Gripen is the true top dog of the update. It's exceptional flight performance makes it genuinely fun to fly.

TBH, I don't really agree with the F-14B's placement. It is one the 'top dogs' . The phoenix missiles are highly versatile when used sub 10km. As they are essentially fire and forget radar missiles, they are incredibly powerful. Some might even say they're good dogfighting missiles. When used high in the sky or on the deck, the results are the same and the F-14B is a constant dominator in this meta.
Last time I saw the F-14 “dominate” was a year ago, I haven’t seen a surviving F-14 for about 6 months lmao
meh, most people can dodge even the ERs by flying low, or flying cold... the phoenix just doesn't hit as hard as it did a few months ago, I almost never even deal with them anymore, it's mostly ERs.
@@OiOi-Jim The F-14B has been a constant threat on the battlefield. The F-14A I can see not surviving, but that's due it to having the AIM-54A Phoneix and not the C variant that the F-14B has
@@braedynhoward3644 That's why shooting from 10km makes them think it's a Sparrow so they prematurely try to dodge or go low. However, by the time they've finished their manuerving they're out of speed and the Phoenix has caught up to them, killing them
I suppose that could work on some people, but not most. You're better off with an ER using the data link than a phoenix.@@humancookie
I was waiting for the MIG 29 (9.13) to receive R73s once the SU 27S and the F15A were added. Now i'm completely disappointed they didn't..at least we have finally the T90M and SU 27S....

@@mich421 I haven't play the SU 27 yet only test flight but you know it feels weird that the MIG 29 was released with R73s and then they said "we will remove and add them later in order to balance the game" and still no R73s I mean even the mig23mld and MIG21BIS received R60Ms when F16 and MIG29 were added so when will the MIG29 will receive again its actual missiles? When the F35 And SU 57 will be added? 😒

@@AZ-dj1ni R27ET which I think the MIG29 (9.13) can take it if it could in irl, much better radar, improved cockpit avionics, much better range, laser guided and TV guided munitions much more flares but overall worse flight performance. The same way the F16C is all about but also the have for it its AIM9Ms as well but still worse overall performance than THE F16A.

The Su-27 is so horrendous in dogfights lmao, ive cooked them in my F-15 and F-16 quite easily only barely lost with my F-4EJ Kai because i dont have the engine power the 27 has
J-10 and J-16 are gonna be crazy when they drop
if the su 27s are in the hands of a competent pilot i agree they are top dogs but the griphen was the first one i unlocked and again in the hands of a competent pilot all the ones on the top dogs list are fairly equal from what ive seen and faught so far most of the 27/j11s just seem to be missile spammers and alot get wiped early match because all try to do things like cobra at the wrong time or just try and rapid fire there 73s with the hmd
This list lost alot of credibility just based on the fact you put the mirage and yak41 ahead of the f16s 😂
The yak is one of the best planes in the game, vtol with afterburner will out turn any f16 in the game

I disagree with the placement of the phantoms. They can fufil the same bomb truck role as the tornados and they do it better.

@@superninja1136 They already ran discounts for some of the tier 7 premiums, so I wouldn't be surprised if the new year's sale does all of them except the few they added in the last patch.
F-16C, JAS39 and Mirage 4K are all above the F-15s or at least the F-15A. F-15 is my favourite plane of all time but in WarThunder they are not so good. Radars suck ass, I prefer my F-14s

But how do you know its the Su-27S its just Su-27 in-game..
This is because Gaijin implemented the production version (Late), which is known as the Su-27S. I think the only difference is the engine, Su-27 (AL-31) and Su-27S (AL-31F).
are you and I even playing the same game? The radar on the Su-27 is absolutely terrible. It constantly loses lock to chaff, and ACM locks chaff as well. It's also slow. Thankfully this is an opinion list only... The best radar in the game and by a long shot is still on the SMT, the best flight performance is on the 16C and the best dedicated donkfighter is the Gripen. Overall, I'd say it's a toss up between the Gripen and 16C for best meta plane right now.
Su27 is comically good, you get 10 missiles and they’re all the best or some of the best missiles in the game, I was grinding to the f15 launch day while my friend worked on spading his su27, he was consistently dominating and getting 3+ kills minimum nearly every match
I was grinding for su27 yesterday with the Mig 29 smt and this patch the radar keeps locking to chaff when I use pd
@@cataclysmicdelta1828Eh I’ve played both and I find the Eagle far better for my playstyle by leaps and bounds. I get 3+ kill games with it too. Would have had an Ace game but F-16C stole a kill from me.
If you would actually play something else then russia then you would know that every pd radar currently locks to chaff, even the f15, gripen and so on. And saying that the f16c and gripen are the "best meta planes" only because they are good in one thing is hilarious. You clearly haven't compared these planes side by side
@@gtmike916 the fact that the f15 can only carry a max of 4 aim 9ms compared to 6 on the f16 paired with no HMD and its radar not being significantly more effective makes it underperform even more than it should without amraams. The su27 just has significantly more tools and capabilities to allow for a higher skill ceiling and greater results, he had nearly 10 aces in the few hours we played.
I respect the list, but but the damn Harrier gr.7 up a little. It's surprisingly a dogfight beast with amazing missiles and ordnance and the only thing it does bad that I can think of is top speed.

Nope f15 shouldn’t even be on top dogs at all except maybe for the J on low or last place. F15s all of them rn still somehow have wing rip issue and gaijin is refusing to fix it. Aim 7ms are pretty dogshit at the moment but works sometimes. Aim 9m is the only thing going for it. It’s stupidly incredible in side aspects but apart from that it’s really not that hard to flare compared to r73. Baz and A should be around great tier at best. If they say aim 9m is still good then I would just play f16 still. It has the current best dogfight ability, 4 9ms and can even carry 6 of them and somehow faster. F15 is really just pointless rn

Furthermore, doing hard manoeuvres is the way to dodge those cracked up Russian missiles which sometimes just straight up ignores everything despite not even in side aspect and even when I dodge them my wings rip. F15 is just in a really bad spot right now. Fly high and shoot missiles? F14 can do it better. Fly low and dogfight? F16 can do it even more better. Play like a rat? Why don’t you just play J8F then it has better missiles. F15 current play style is to play like a rat because of all these issues. In my opinion they should have just released it with the C variant and held it back for another update for a better introduction. It’s DOA currently

I strongly disagree with the SU-27 and F-15A. SU-27 has a very bad radar. Radar contacts are displayed very dim. Radar range is 60km max. For the F-15A: Decent Radar but is lacking the TWS capability. No HMD/HMS. F16s and Mig29s are still better.

You place way too much emphasis on BVR. Very few people actually climb in current top tier. In the last several months, I've almost never seen a battle decided by BVR. Vast majority of radar missiles are being dodged because everyone is hugging the ground. Almost every fight I've seen is decided by people making mistakes in close combat, meaning IR missiles and guns are getting vast majority of kills.
Given that, the m4k and gripen will be the top dogs unless or until gaijin decides to nerf their flight models.
Doesnt really matter. ER is OP even sub 10km. If launched in 5km headon and enemy is not hugging ground already, hes dead. Same can be said about sparrow but i have terrible experience with it and it miss so often, unlike ER.

@@codyfox2876 Exept there is always someone after merge who goes a bit higher, i have more kills with ER than with 73 just because of that, i use it as dogfight missile if iam about 3-5 km away from enemy, its disgusting. Its too fast to react in time at these ranges and you cant pretty much defeat it, if you are cold, chaffs are still 50/50. Aim-7 barely works like that.

EJ cant do any type of guided CAS, and doesnt have 9M's, remember what I've said in the video, I'm not considering JUST the AIR RB performance, but everything and how can it defend it self, while doing missions, the harrier can out turn any F4 easily while having superior missiles and doing better CAS, so overall it is an easier aircraft to use in a top tier match in ground or air RB
Snails upgraded the F-15 and nerfed the Su-27, j-11 on the first day, the same situation as Mig-29 and F-16

barak and baz are awful one cant carry radar missiles the other moves like a brick. Unusually easy kills as its the fastest grinding tree too.

litteraly su 27 is worst 12.3 in the game, no energy, bad engines, bad rate of climb, mirage 4000 is better in everyway, only radar missiles, but i hate this su 27 non sense
AR is just crap and will be for the rest of time with the way they match teams up now. They will put at entire team of 12.0-12.3 vs a team of 11.0-11.3 . Last night I had 4 battles where entire enemy team was 12.0 and up and me at 11.3 in tornado adv was our top tier match over in 4 min. Game has turned to shit and will likely stay as they won’t put all the way OP aircraft at 12.0 in a match list where they only see 12.0 and up.
Games not fun when maybe 1 in 20 battles you will get a kill only cuz someone not only was not looking but was not running after burner at ground level so you had a chance to catch
I'd say skill issue but it might just be br range issue. Play a different BR until the patch grind simmers down.
@@appa609 not a skill issue it's a server issue they put entire teams of 12.0 against a team with no 12.0 there is no balance in that. In terms of power and ability game it's like putting team of F80's vs a team of harriers or mig 21's. Not only is there a massive power gap but your team has nothing equal to it to have a 0.1% chance of winning .
the Br spread needs to be fix for these high tears to a .7 spread and or at minimum no team should have more higher tears than the other.

I like how Germany was COMPLETELY left out of the Air Superiority update. And so was Italy. Im not counting the AMX since havent seen it at all.
Until they get the Eurofighter, then there's no reason to add anything to Germany. They already have the best MiG-29 variant, and that thing is pretty powerful-one of the best light fighters next to the Gripen and the F-16C
