They sound great in person.. I plan on switching from pearl to mapex this year. They sound the best to me personally.
One of the best kit actually, affordable, versatile and just great.
Mapex has come a very long way. Their product has continued to improve as the years go on. These sound solid.
I have a yamaha stage custom 7 piece which i love..but mapex has been on my radar strongly, dont need them but kind of want to try them out.
I like the fusion sized Toms. Mapex has always been good for my playing style! ❤

Play the Yamaha behind him if you want a good sounding kit.Never hit a Yamaha I wasn't impressed by. Even the custom advantage line..
Have to agree with that. My uncle has an amazing Yamaha studio kit...probably the best kit I've ever played.

I would take this kit and convert it to electric
Not me lol drum should stay drum. Electronic drum is for appartement imho.
But I respect your preference ;) nothing wrong with electronic mixed with acoustic drum.
