The previews of this came on and my pet turtle walked up next to me and laid there the entire movie and watched it with me. I think this means great things for your, because you've captivated the attention of another species. Well done.
Better than most zombie movies: They actually had a writer or two. The gore is minimal, the sound track is good, unexpected things happen outside the usual "Eeek." I was surprised and pleased. I will recommend this.
i definitly would love to see you guys make another one its better than alot of the horror movies they put in theaters now, it has a raw natural feel to it that movies these days are missing.
Really enjoyed this! It was well shot, great story, gritty, with a good mystery behind the event. That last line was perfect. "When we get to the city, you pray, and if God gives you an answer, you let me know." I really like the music for the ending credits too!
This was the second zombie movie I had ever seen. It has been over a year since then. After watching a lot of other things (World War Z, The Walking Dead, etc.) I decided to watch this again. Whatever you did, you made it really different than the rest of all the zombie fiction out there, This is much more ominous and has a certain feel to it. It's better in that way than the multimillion dollar movies and series they've been cranking out lately. Good work!
First of all I just want to let you know that your hard work is highly appreciated. Doing something like this is amazing , pretty much on your own. It was a interesting storyline and the end just opened it up for an even better(though harder & more expensive) movie to come. I don't understand how anyone that's tried to put up their own content could be so unsupportive of your effort. When most of the videos on here are minutes long and people recording themselves drooling. You did a great job.:)

Yes, it's very difficult process. l'm currently making animated zombie series based on a novel. Just in the first 15 minutes the camera work was clearly limited in preproduction and planning, the hue was off, audio issues- actors mumbling, wind chatter etc. and a million other niggly aspects. My critique is given in the spirit of constructive observation and l critique everything, especially my own work. Wish more would do likewise 'cause, you're absolutely spot on, its easier to sit back and judge than it is to actually add something worthwhile.
YES! Finally! A horror film where the bruthas don't get killed off in the first 5 minutes! They might have been the only ones left on the planet but at least they survived!
The infected people (I refuse to call them zombies) in this film were a cut above most others. These had a bit of thinking power, and some tenacity. The part where they were checking the cars to see if Mike was in one of them, and that one guy with the white plaid shirt who didn't seem to want to give up on ultimately munching down on Mike's refried beans. That was a nice touch that added a bit more menace to them.

One of the worst things about most of these low-budget zombie/infected films is that the actors often can't forget they're making a movie and don't act as freaked out and disoriented as people would normally be in such a situation. These actors did and I give them credit for that. Overall a good effort, though a bit confusing in some parts.

Ok, now that was a really great flick. Especially for being so low budget. But, as most 'Zombie Enthusiasts' (even B-Rated) such as myself know those are usually the best ones:) most definitely sets up for a sequel, which would be awesome if ya ever did one. Decent First film!! I liked it! Just a steping stone to something bigger and better. I myself have plans to make an amature film on a small budget. Who knows what can happen ...but if you don't try you never know.
Most Videos on UA-cam, with much higher production values can barely hold my attention past ten minutes. Your film kept me watching for the full 88 minutes, with actual trepidation during a number of the scenes and full intrest in what is going to happen next. The truck, that appears to be a Sheriff's vehicle driving past them (10:38) as they run out of gas gave a greast feeling that the sh*t had hit the fan since hed hadn't pulled over to check on them.
some of the negative comments are just mean.Honestly everyones a critic!!Did we all not read what the caption says!?This is their FIRST feature film, created on a SHOESTRING budget!!At least they have enough drive to follow their dreams.Id bet most of you with no positive feedback whatsoever sit on your asses all da after you go to your safe guaranteed profitable wage jobs.Have you ever thought they took a risk and they already know the flick has flaws?Try some encouragement for once!
I was surprised how GOOD it was! No cheeze! Don't know how it got on the 'best worst movies made!? Similar to Night o the Living Dead, but different too! Scarier at times! watch it. Very, very good! ;~}
I can list many many more weird moments, but I don't want to be a jerk, I did like that whole Texas atmosphere and it was well done for a low budget movie.
Hi James! I just wanted to say that I really loved this movie. I would like to be a film maker myself. You said this movie was filmed around Austin. I live in Georgetown and would love to collaborate with you on a movie in the future if you are interested. Thanks
the guy who got in the car? nah he wasnt infected or in bad shape. he was just out of the loop no clue what a giant shit storm he stepped into. especially when the main character ( not thinking rationally) starts driving in the direction of a clearly distressed city. seemed like a good way to end with the idea of a sequel up in the air.
Yes, sequel. I was left so unsatisfied at the end.... especially with the title Made Out Alive...because it seems the worse is yet to come! Sequel, sequel, sequel!!!
Das sehe ich genauso, Zombies die rennen sind eine furchtbare Vorstellung. Um denen zu entkommen muss man sehr ausdauernd und schnell sein, sonst ist man verloren...
Nice film guys, is a personally hate the movies that already that they shove into redbox that are horrible zombie films with one actor that I may know. This is a standard example of how to shoot a good movie, with nice camera angles, nice effects, and friends helping with their personal time to make this movie. Good Job.
This was actually pretty good for a low budget film. Good acting, good camera work and sound, and I enjoyed the characters and story line as well. When the movie ended I just wanted it to keep going lol. The only thing missing for me was more zombies and zombie gore. Other than that, great job!
Nice movie lads, you really did a very tremendous job, congratz ! you need much of support and next time just make it commercial and sell it... keep going liked and subscribed
Loved the movie.Right now zombie movies are the hot item.Would love to see this re done with a budget to support all the bells and whistles..Dont see the link you mentioned?I dont have any real complaints except maybe the fist few minutes seems like the camera constantly swings left and right ever so little.Either my brain got used to it or you resolved the issue----if filmed in sequence..Again,great job. When you have your own skywalker ranch a invite for the parties please--lol
All these movies have the same stuff... 1. People going out in the dark with no protection 2. talking loud and arguing with each other 3. someone always have problems with having a gun 4. they leave the safety of one place for a place they know nothing about. 5. loud breathing and whimpering when hiding... 6. walking around in the open without looking around you 7. not closing doors/windows behind you after you know the place is secure. 8. Someone always kills someone else over misunderstanding 9. Christians are the illusional ones that hold others back. The writers of these movies all use the same stuff... Why?
i think becauseit just movie, many zombie movies are the same, they never teach us the real survival, everybody act careless and like you said they always leave Safe place to walk around outside without right destination.. and ended killing each other and died eaten by zombies
these zombie killers are so stupidly played out, the guy on the run cannot find a weapon with littery thousands of sticks, metals ect laying around. when he finely kills a zombie with a long sharp pointed stick he immediately gets smart and throws his only weapon down and runs
+otherworldtrader1 Overall it was a decent attempt, but that part threw me as well. Except for a couple guns, nobody seemed to try to find a hand held weapon of any type, which would be the first thing anyone would do. When Mike threw the steel rod away after just killing an "infected" with it it made no sense.
+otherworldtrader1 My knee jerk reaction was the same as yours. But if you think about it they are still in panic mode, only being a couple day's in to it. And apparently don't have our endless hours of watching zombie flicks under their belts :-) So they are just starting to learn what needs to be done.
A huge zombie buff here and I have a cinematic background. Not a bad effort. I hope you are still working toward your goals. That being said continuity is a big thing for me. The blond with the fake nails then no fake nails and then fake nails again. Some of the camera angles where shaky but overall good show and best to you.
Well aint much left to say being that all good things to say have been said. Genuinely enjoyed the movie. Acting was cool, especially the old guy. Woulda been nice to have a bit more gore and dumb zombies but I like the approach with more emphasis on the characters and their plight. In doing so it added depth to a "zombie flick" with a pinch of drama/suspense. Good stuff! your on your way bro! I already want to see a part 2! If you need an extra hand I live in Houston! lol
A really excellent movie; I'm poor so I don't have any money to give you but if I did, I would. Your movie held my attention, in my opinion it's well edited and the story arc is believable. I hope you make the necessary contacts to further your career. Amazingly well done for a low-budget endeavour - break a leg!

Good job guys! Shoe string budget wow i definitly love to see you guys make another one.
For this type of movie and being low budget I thought it was darn good. It didn't hurt that the main character Mike was super hot either ;)
Thanks!
some of the negative comments are just mean.Honestly everyones a critic!!Did we all not read what the caption says!?This is their FIRST feature film, created on a SHOESTRING budget!!At least they have enough drive to follow their dreams.Id bet most of you with no positive feedback whatsoever sit on your asses all da after you go to your safe guaranteed profitable wage jobs.Have you ever thought they took a risk and they already know the flick has flaws?Try some encouragement for once!
I actually enjoyed this even though it wasn't a real good movie
Best Zombie movie I have ever seen. Screw the haters, you guys got the goods!
I was surprised how GOOD it was! No cheeze! Don't know how it got on the 'best worst movies made!? Similar to Night o the Living Dead, but different too! Scarier at times! watch it. Very, very good! ;~}
Thank you 🙏🏽
I can list many many more weird moments, but I don't want to be a jerk, I did like that whole Texas atmosphere and it was well done for a low budget movie.
Hi James! I just wanted to say that I really loved this movie. I would like to be a film maker myself. You said this movie was filmed around Austin. I live in Georgetown and would love to collaborate with you on a movie in the future if you are interested. Thanks
Excellent movie. Well done! Hope you make a Part 2.
I enjoyed it.
Good job! Was actually not too bad ...was expecting it to be corny, but what a nice surprise!
the guy who got in the car? nah he wasnt infected or in bad shape. he was just out of the loop no clue what a giant shit storm he stepped into. especially when the main character ( not thinking rationally) starts driving in the direction of a clearly distressed city. seemed like a good way to end with the idea of a sequel up in the air.
Yes, sequel. I was left so unsatisfied at the end.... especially with the title Made Out Alive...because it seems the worse is yet to come! Sequel, sequel, sequel!!!
Watching from Birmingham Alabama go Boomer Sooner 😎 I love zombie movies and for such a low budget this was pretty good!
OMG it is so scary when the zombies can run fast like that freaks me out
Das sehe ich genauso, Zombies die rennen sind eine furchtbare Vorstellung. Um denen zu entkommen muss man sehr ausdauernd und schnell sein, sonst ist man verloren...
Scaredy cat🐱
I still can't figure out how it possible if truly dead than rigamortis will set in.
@@maryaberilla9532 😂 yes I am
Nice film guys, is a personally hate the movies that already that they shove into redbox that are horrible zombie films with one actor that I may know. This is a standard example of how to shoot a good movie, with nice camera angles, nice effects, and friends helping with their personal time to make this movie. Good Job.
Thought it was generally good and pretty suspenseful...though I did have a few WTF moments where I couldn't figure out what happened or how.
This was actually pretty good for a low budget film. Good acting, good camera work and sound, and I enjoyed the characters and story line as well. When the movie ended I just wanted it to keep going lol. The only thing missing for me was more zombies and zombie gore. Other than that, great job!
i love low budget zombie films xD i really do.
Best Zombie Movie out there. Thanks for sharing with the public ;)
> We shot this film for under 3 thousand dollars
....unbelievable :-O
Great movie 🎥
First 5 mins great flick
Great job
Inspiring. Thanks.
Keep them coming loved it
Nice movie lads, you really did a very tremendous job, congratz ! you need much of support and next time just make it commercial and sell it... keep going liked and subscribed
2012 year? Wow,still good in the 2016 :D
This was absolutely KICKASS! Very well done.
i love zombie flics my only gripe is the shakey cam thing makes me dizzy lol thanks for the movie tho
1. People going out in the dark with no protection
2. talking loud and arguing with each other
3. someone always have problems with having a gun
4. they leave the safety of one place for a place they know nothing about.
5. loud breathing and whimpering when hiding...
6. walking around in the open without looking around you
7. not closing doors/windows behind you after you know the place is secure.
8. Someone always kills someone else over misunderstanding
Carry Lifeforme welcome to WTFville
yeah thats true i was always thinking like.
Carry Lifeforme ta make you bitch
Because they have watched these movies for ideas on making a zombie movie that’s why
If this was made on a low budget, excellent job
Who watching this from lockdown, due to covid-19??
Proof you don't need a big budget to make a great film
great job
these zombie killers are so stupidly played out, the guy on the run cannot find a weapon with littery thousands of sticks, metals ect laying around. when he finely kills a zombie with a long sharp pointed stick he immediately gets smart and throws his only weapon down and runs
I really loved this film !!! I excited to see another movie from this producer !!!
Well I'm American and I love the Dutch. Btw, great spelling hun. Have a wonderful day. :)
THE FIRST 10 MINUTES MADE ME WATCH THE ENTIRE, HOUR AND 28 MINUTES,,,,, NOVEMBER 23TH, 2021🦅
A huge zombie buff here and I have a cinematic background. Not a bad effort. I hope you are still working toward your goals. That being said continuity is a big thing for me. The blond with the fake nails then no fake nails and then fake nails again. Some of the camera angles where shaky but overall good show and best to you.
Camera man bad yes agree with other comments it's not steady ruined it for me
Ur zombies are runners fit for the Olympics
good use of the music to build tension. Good idea for a movie. send it out and have it made for real.
Excellent show, thank you!
lol yeah sorry canada is a bit far, but if its british columbia who know... i would def do a movie up there!
If you need an extra hand I live in Houston! lol
I'll say it again and again! what ever happened to the slow moving zombies we love lol they run way to fast now hehehe
Lin Smith yeah this is more like rabid instead of zombified
Yep...there is no more fun...zombies are too fast, they can even break 100m sprint. Lol.😁😁😁
Sawtugau Naga they would win a Berlin Marathon

Pretty good
A really excellent movie; I'm poor so I don't have any money to give you but if I did, I would. Your movie held my attention, in my opinion it's well edited and the story arc is believable. I hope you make the necessary contacts to further your career. Amazingly well done for a low-budget endeavour - break a leg!
