I show off how to get an advanced magshear, the strongest weapon in Starfield, right at the start of the game. This method works 100% of the time and works for both PC and Xbox. This is something every player should get to make their playthrough super easy. I also show off how to get a few other advanced weapons in case you want to use a revolver or grenade launcher.

Is there a reason you don't look at the weapons before you save?
@@sgtzack612 When you mouse over the weapons, the game shows the stats, but to do that it has to generate those stats. If this happens before you make the save, those stats will still be in memory when the game reloads, and you'll break the glitch.

You're a life saver! I spent 30+ minutes load/reload trying to get advanced (it didn't happen so I left the store). I just went back and tried this new method and it worked like a charm!
Loaded back into my save and check them, both where standard.. changed to very hard and took both w3apons off the shelf. reloaded the save and both where advanced the first try. so great stuff ,thanks so much for the video. big thumbs up......

So I decided to stop my first play through at 90hrs (level 23) cause you convinced me I Messed up with my backgrounds and traits in your best OP start video. Explorer is pointless, and Taskmaster+Extrovert are so crucial for my play style. I already had a second save at 5hrs (level 10) using your best OP start tips with the Cyber Runner. I unknowingly skipped this part where you got the Magshear at this vendor, but happened to repeat your video and then came here asap to get the Magshear with the trashcan method. Then, I went to go level up and pick up more loot on a fauna heavy planet and the first abandoned outpost I raided immediately netted me an Anti-Personnel Advanced Magshear…literally game over lol this gun is absolutely nuts…playing on very hard feels like easy 😂 I’ll admit I did farm the gun off a legendary pirate boss but it took like 3 tries only, but was trying to get a sniper. I was already more than satisfied with the standard one but the advanced is almost game breaking lol
ALSO, there’s something about having a higher tier weapon earlier on that makes the vendors and enemies also carry higher tier weapons early on. All my vendors now carry better weapons in my second save with less progress than my first 90hr save.

This thing is SO op. I'm playing on very hard, and it makes it much more fun. The gun kills so quickly, but the enemies are ruthless, so it's a blast!
Dude! GREAT video! I was struggling like so many other player not getting the Advanced versions to spawn. 1st time trying this, all 3 weapons spawned Advanced. I'm sitting pretty now. SUBSCRIBED! Great job, keep em coming!!!
There’s also an Urban Eagle you can use this method to get an advanced version of in the Nova Shipyards in the first locked room to the left.

Great vid! To get the pieces from the glass just stack the blue buckets in front of the store owner on his counter. Once NPC leave close the doors. I managed to get both undetected that way

On the pistol and bridger, if you wait and chill behind the cases, you can steal them.
For the bridger, after most of the people leave, close the door, and you will jump between hidden and detected. If you can grab it while your hidden it a clean steal.
I managed to take all 4 guns in the video with just crouching and hidden. There will be moments of being hidden, but very short. I also added a mod to the guns using the weapons bench and they became mine. No more stolen.
For future reference anything stolen that you want to "clean" just sell it to the trade authority and buyback at the same price and they are cleaned.
@@mugiwarakotp you can also just drop them and pick them back up and that'll also remove the stolen tag. Im not sure if that's a glitch im having or not tho. Wont hurt to try.

Remember the good old days in Skyrim where you could hit the vendor, reload your save and it would reset their inventory? This reminded me a bit of that.
Double chameleon = hidden when crouched, even in plain view. I used this method to easily steal anything I want.
nice. tried this earlier since i couldn't find them in shops either. had a calibrated one. went from around 34 dmg to almost 60. have ballistic and rifle cards maxed. and all weapon mods on.
update i had a calibrated Magshear aswell. around 211 dmg. found an advanced one finally. almost 400 dmg. huge difference lol
Finally got this to work on Xbox series X. Taking them off the shelf before reloading seemed to do it. Excellent info.
Can you try and explain what you did to make it work? I'm not getting anywhere and would love a 2nd explanation. I'm also on a series x.
Once you modify them they become yours and no longer tagged as stolen

There's also an Advanced Bridger in Centaurian Arsenal you can do the same thing with behind glass

I received a decentMagshear on a drop at rank 27. Frenzy Modified Refined Magshear Legendary Rifle. But like you said PHYS 16 so even with Furious: each consecutive hit deals more damage. It probably equals out. Gear up for huge ammo supply numbers. It smokes through rounds.... Great video!
Do the ryujin quest so they will reward you with manipulation skill. U can manipulate them to go somewhere.
Where is that quest?

@@pr3zidentcarterwhat they said. Ryujin Tower is on Neon. Normally if you pass a Ryujin kiosk in any major city and listen to it, you’ll get a quest to go there. They also give you an outfit built for stealth too.
If you already have manipulation, will it give you the next level?
No. You have to earn the upgrades normally
Put the trash can in front of the shopkeeper and wait for the indicator to say hidden, worked for me
This only works on weapons that are laying on counters or the glass displays. if they happen to be in a weapons case, they dont seem to respawn with the upgrade. I was able to get an old earth rifle that does 100 in the uc surplus under new atlantis.
So i did this as I start my first NG+ play through and I got an Advance Magshear with 41 PHY on my first try . Fully mod it and it's a beast . Thanks
You can just Freeroam however you want after going to constellation. You only need to join to go a free roaming. You don’t even need to go to Cydonia with her and that mission, you can just drag her all over the place and she acts just like a normal companion (except you can’t dismiss her until Cydonia is done.)
Did this today. No need to change difficulty, I was able to get them on Very Easy, first reload. Also, don't forget to go to Cydonia to launder the weapons.

Easier to just sell it to a vender and buy it right back, IMO.

Wish this was found out sooner 😫 I couldn't get the OP Magesheer so just took the basic but I will get the other weapons 😂

@@Timb0515 Unless there is some trick. Stole them when I was lvl 4 and went back at lvl 17. Not there.

Unfortunately the weapons never respawn and you gotta save just before taking them and load it up and they should be high tier weapons after that.
People have looked in to the code there is ment to be Superior weapons like armour but the code suffix was wrong so they are also called Advanced. armour goes (normal>Calibrated>Refined>Advanced>Superior), Weapons are (Normal,Calibrated>refined>Advanced

I will also add, do not (I repeat DO NOT), go anywhere after they spawn and don't bother saving. If you go to say The Pit they will revert back to basic Magshears after leaving. I did that to try to wait till night when there would be less eyes to see me s.t.e.a.l. them. And they changed when I came out. And were basic in my save. Had to go back to the same before first looking and do it again.
So be sure to take them when the prop.
You think this method could work on Rerolling Armor Quality? Like the Anti Xeno armor from the UC quest line drops at different qualities too.
Are there any other spawns in the game? I followed your tutorial on how to get the best start, and that was before I knew that they didn't always spawn in as advanced, and I got two normal ones. I've now already got the mantis armor almost perfectly rolled and I don't want to do that again
I just recently started my ng+ 6. Went in on very hard. Walked up to the shop keeper and monologued my way to the vendor option. Everything, was advanced if it was white. I opted to just buy a few things. I had the funds for a few guns. Good times!

Well luckily I just grabbed my mags yesterday. I reloaded about a dozen times and finally gave up on getting advanced. Hopefully the save point is still there so I can use this method.

Yeah, the Magshears are hella broken. I'm usually a sneaky stealthy sniper player, but you can easily run and gun with the Magshear. For sniping though, that advanced Razorback is almost all you need. Get the upgrades for it by doing all that weapon research and it gets crazy powerful.
Best imo is the unique Magshears in the end of the SysDef/CrimsonFleet questline 😉

also, when you sell stolen items at trade centres and buy them back, they're no longer stolen items for those that dont know.

I must've gotten lucky then. I didn't even know the gun existed, and I walked into "Best Defence" and saw the 2 Magshears on the shelf and nicked them. Both were advanced, and I'm playing on Normal. 😁 Although, the PHYS = 23 for mine. 🤔
I saw a video that said there was a naming error on some higher grade weapons (whatever is higher than Advanced. Superior?), so maybe you actually got Superior, and that's why your stats were higher???? 🤷🏻♂️

I've given a Bridger to Karen... errr I mean Sarah, she loves it. And the good thing is companions can use weapons that have rare ammo with just 1 ammo in their inventory and never run out!

This works great! If you have a chameleon spacesuit and helmet attached, you can grab them without getting a bounty.

While I am slightly disappointed the trash can didn't go over the vendor's head because it no longer works like in Skyrim, I still found the video quite helpful and funny. Maybe my pistolero can finally find a gun that doesn't succcc.
Talk to Vladimir at the Eye and get the activity to go to his house. Hack his office and pick up the Mutineer from his desk. That pistol is straight fire.
Yup it's very good, pity ammo a bit scarce tho.

And after you yoink the guns and didn't get caught, go to the work bench and just mod the magazine and it'll remove the stolen aspect off of it so no worries about getting in trouble by them guns having the stolen aspect on it lol, it's what I do

To get lost of the "Stolen" tag on that Weapons, you can fly to the Wolf System and to the UC Starbase there. There is a Trade Company Dealer that you can sell them to. If you "buy them back" again, they aren't marked as stolen anymore and you won't loose them, when the UC or Freestar Securitys catches you because of the Bounty for thieving. ^^
Havent had any issues finding good guns. One of my favorites is the prime. Crazy good pistol i use for sniping. Im lvl 37. Been hunting up to lvl 90s for awhile now.

So, every time I try to yoink the weapons in the cases, a security person magically teleports to me and I get arrested immediately. (The trashcan trick worked fine for the magshear.) Good lord, then I grabbed it, ran to the ship, jumped to a Crimson fleet system, fought 6 crimson fleet ships, got out of my chair, and a Hopetown security guy teleported out of nowhere and arrested me, in the middle of space. Amazing.
I got them to spit out 128’s!!👍-the first time when I went in there I couldn’t get it to work no matter what I did so I fast travel back to the ship and then came back into the store and it worked!!

You can stack two trash cans in front of vendor to block his site and wait for the customers to look away. Then grab the bridger once it says youre hidden.
This worked much better than reloading thirty times. Also. Not sure if anyone else got this. I got Magshear to drop with 28 damage
Lvl 30 and this is still my go to when I need to clear out harder fight and can't be bothered to put effort into the fight.
If you haven’t done it the trade authority in new Atlantis doubles his stock every 48 hours you spend there in game, saw it waited 48 so he had money and I could sell than saw he had 4 weapons per wall mount (including micro guns) If you wait the 48 hours 4 times You can see the Grendel’s,Eons and micro guns in the den for just shy of 100k with lv4 commerce

I think he is talking about the UC supply shop in the Well in New Atlantis, the guy has like 6 full weapon wall mount and 4 weapons crate fill with guns and one with micro gun. I my self constantly steal from his shelf because a open gun crate will block his view so I crouch and yoink.
Also for some odd reason they stack respawn because i was doing the craft exp farm in a world where 1 hr = 4 weeks and I tried to steal via transfer loot and it was absolutely filled to the brim.

Turns out there's another way to get rid of the stolen status, if you are getting this not at the start of the game but maybe level 20 or whatever level. The only thing you need is to have started an outpost, at your outpost you need to have made an weapon container/box, then you can put the stolen weapon into it then take it out again and it will not have the stolen status anymore. Hopefully if you read this it should work for you, as I am on console so it doesn't require mods or any of the sort.

i found them by this method with whopping 33 dgm base. (but maybe its my perks?)
I magaged to mod it at workbench to:
48 dgm with 345 firerate, its pretty insane:
Magnetrails, ammo with Uran and the intern mod: "strong"
(not shure about the exact name, i dont play it in english)
Pretty happy, i like the look of the lasers, but i am playing a Sniper build anyway, with a strong Sidearm for harsh situations. (Vlados Gun, grabbed with lvl 42)
But Lydia, i mean the lovely Andreja like her new shiny advanced Magshear pretty much, befor she was running with just a regular.

Just reset the shop inventory, everything should come back. 48 UT hours in game should do it

You can loop the game back around casually in like 3-4 hours.
I'd used this method to get the rifles and it'd worked well back then. But afterwards during the course of the game I ended up loosing both of them somewhere (or selling by mistake). When I came back to this shop for the new rifles the shelves were empty. Quicksaves or waiting on a bench does not help. The shelves are always empty. Any cure for this?
What happens if you gave up trying to reload and get the magshears and just took the base ones and then carried on in the game? Whenever I've been back here the guns haven't respawned.

Used the bucket method and brought both guns out to be picked up in an ally. The damaged was 30 though so better then OP
That's so funny. I got the Advanced Magshears by pushing around some NPCs and crouching, super easy. But after like 30 re rolls, no modified Grendels with better than 3 dmg.

I have no idea where I picked it up but somehow while in Neon I nabbed one of these at level 12 or so while playing a pistol specialist, with hilarious results.

Man, wish i’ve seen this video before i pick them up . I didn’t change the difficulty and i’m playing on standard so i just got the regular magshears . To make things worse, i have over 2,000 Magshear rounds.
Dont know if it helps, But if you want the Bridger without being see by the vendor i placed a trashcan and some buckets in his view point seemed to do the trick, the items are in the shop aswell. GL
Instead of sweeping the rifle around with the trash can, flip the trash can over and put it on the shopkeeps head. It works. Breaks line of sight.
It doesn't in several tested instances. In old games it did.
Think to remove the stolen icon sell and buy back at the guy in the wolf district ive used that before from the stolen ammo and med packs ive gathered up along the way
Easiest way to get the grenade launcher and the pistol was i found was to sit on chair for few hours till less People in shop. Then sneak behind counter and get pistol. For genade you have to wait in sneak mode till he turns his head and quickly grab it.
