It is incredibly 💔heartbreaking💔 that Ben and Rey wasn't able to explore their relationship. But I believe that not only does Ben become a Force ghost but I believe that he and Rey are still a Dyad in the Force but in a different way.

ABSOLUTELY. and you really understood the symbolism of the two of them in regards to the prequel and the original films and it shows. i'm in love with this, i can really see the care you put into it. love love love it, i'll be coming back to it a lot.

Darkness & evil are never 100% gone & it would make an exciting story with them working together. He has to come back to complete the dyad.
They took the coward's way out by choosing to kill Ben in the end. JJ and Chris were clearly trying too hard to please both sides of the Star Wars fandom. The death of Ben Solo really defeats the whole point of the scene where Rey kills Kylo Ren on the Death Star. He is literally re-born as Ben in that moment as he hears Rey confess that she wanted to take his hand in TLJ if only he had been his true self.
The blurry lines between the Sith and the Jedi. Rey and Ben managed to escape from the strict boundaries but only for so little before having to be punished with losing one another once again.
This is INCREDIBLE. The whole time watching the film and Rey & Kylo’s interactions I kept thinking of Anakin, what he feared, what he wanted and would want of his grandson. This video shows all of that and more.

I didn’t get this ship until the kiss. It’s so amazing. Rey believes in Ben not Kylo REN you can tell because she calls him Ben. But after the second film I think she gave up on him, and I think he knew that she gave up on him. That made him act out in more anger. That also may have been the reason why she says REN in the last film instead of Ben. But after the big fight where his mother dies, I think bens reaction made Rey relize that Kylo is dead and that caused her to act and save his life, which in return he saved her life. It was beautiful and I can’t wait what stars wars does next with Rey and if they decide to bring Ben back some how

The problem with Star Wars is that it leaves too many options opened. One could think Ben is not dead, that he could be in the world between worlds or that he is still with Rey because “no one is really gone”. Her facial expression was so weird when Ben passed, as if something surprised her, it was not an expression of sadness. I was clueless about what she felt. When I left the theater I knew it would not be the last movie about the Skywalkers. They are the soul of Star Wars, a decade from now we might see Ben Solo again. SW without him is like the The Godfather without Michael Corleone!!

She saw a future for them. Ben saw the future. There was a huge relief. She saw a bright future for the whole Universe. That Ben could die the next moment, I bet, none of them was thinking of that option. Not even for a second. They were just there for each other. In that moment. There was no before and no after. She didn't expect him to die so suddenly. That was the surprise. She was torn out of this beautiful moment of deep care so suddenly. Surprised, that it lasted only for such a short moment. That's how I perceived that scene.
This is stunning! I've watched it about 6 times now, and I fall in love with it over and over again. This is so beautifully made! I love the scenes you chose, the voice-overs are perfection, and the music is spot on!
I ask myself the same question, it is by far the strongest ship of my life because it involved a saga that I loved since I was a kid and I liked every character, especially Ben 😢, I think that the end was fair to the arc of the Skywalkers family because through love, selflessness and hope the darkness that chased them was finally gone and shone through Rey and Ben's love, but it makes you think that happiness doesn't exist or it is feeble, especially after the kiss/death and that you should not harbor fantasies even in fantasies 🙁.
OMG. I have been holding off watching this as I didn't want to spoil myself but after having just watched the movie. This. You absolutely nailed the dark and the light of them both and the balance at the end and how not only does he save her but he does so that she can live and do what she needs to. I loved this. The movie crítics,here in Brazil, are speaking so bad about the film. There are no surprises at all and that is why so disapointed. "A film without soul" as they say. This is spectacular. It shows the heat, the passion between the two. But it also reminds me the true great love stories of Star Wars are ultimately tragic. Padme dying from her broken heart... The music, the scenes, the whole symbolism - not only about dark and light, Sith and Jedi and how Ben & Rey represent both but also the legend about the Sith being able to save the people they love from dying. Incredible. You can see how much thought and love you put into this! I'll probably rewatch this all day now, over and over. Can't wait for more!
