Thank you for saying that! He sacrificed his own life for her. I think he always knew. He always said I know what I have to do but I don't know if I have the strength to do it. Turns out he did. That said I still would've preferred he end up being saved by Anakin after he died. And Rey being kenobi's granddaughter. That would've been a better dyad. That of 2 former friends

Well Disney made it so that force healing is a real thing. If that was a thing back then, all the Jedi would’ve known about it and if anakin knew about it, he would do that in a heartbeat.
Ben succeeded one thing his grandfather didn't

The people are too blind to see that sequels are the same thing love stories brotherhood like the originals and prequels
Plus now Ben is a part of the force that doesn't mean he's gone he will return to see Rey again as a ghost
At the end she when she smiled it also meant that Ben is not gone. He will always be there with her deep in her heart. She called herself a Skywalker because Ben passed everything to her including his legacy not a Palpatine because that name symbolises evil and Skywalker symbolises Good.
Anakin’s line about compassion really got me. I didn’t remember that line and everything makes so much sense right now

The most compelling, beautiful and heartbreaking edit of them I’ve watched since everything happened. Thanks for the tears but for understanding the complexity of their relationship better than most editors out there. Not gonna lie this really fucked me up and reopened those wounds. But it was beautiful.

I just thought...what if he's giving her back the life force that she gave to him after she stabbed him? So she technically killed him...?
No, he gave her EVERYTHING.
I tkink Palpatine took almost all of their life force and rey gave what she had left to save the resistance and ben gave his to save rey, i don't think this would have change if rey didn't almost kill ben.

I believe that's why I've been stood up first he technically had a little bit more life force because she had given him some prior to that and in return he returned it back
She did kill him, Kylo Ren that is.

It just dawned on me how Anakin’s love for Padme brought him to darkness! And it was Rey’s love that brought Ben back to light! It’s just sad Ben had to die.

Roxas Entertainment I don’t hate it, but it’s frustrating. The only thing they did right was the force dynamic between those 2
I don't understand what is fundamentally wrong with the sequel trilogy. There's always room for improvement, but it had great characters and character arcs, exciting and well-executed action scenes, certain plots that didn't just mimic previous movies, and yet offered some parallels and fan service, and it offered intriguing connections and chemistry between Kylo/Ben and Rey. Of course, viewers have different expectations and images in their respective heads as to how they would develop the story, but I just enjoyed the journey. I also don't nitpick and parse every scene, every bit of dialogue or character arc, either, especially after waiting over 42 years for the saga to conclude. Btw, I never liked the premise that Vader was Luke's father (and hoped for 3 years between 1980 to 1983 that ROTJ would let us know Vader lied), but I had to accept it since it became obvious that was key to the whole Skywalker story. Even then, I wanted Vader to die unredeemed, but I didn't reject the first trilogy because he saved Luke. Maybe some of you haters have to deal with similar feelings about aspects of the final trilogy and learn how to appreciate them at least a little. There's great stuff if you open your minds!
