    So first off I've been watching your channel since you started. Your videos always rock. I originally came here for third gen content since I own a 1986 firebird se. I've always wanted to ask what wheels are you running on your trans am and what was needed to make them work ?
    Keep the great videos coming

      Hey Man THANK YOU for the support!! Comments like this are what keep me doing UA-cam!! I also have a lot of 3rd Gen content coming in the future with some upgrades and restoration type stuff. The wheels are the number one thing I get asked about as well! I'll put links below to the Summit Racing link so you can get the specs but it says they are unavailable right now, like everything. You do have to run spacers in the back and front. Pretty sure it was like 1.5" spacer up front, and 2.0 spacer in rear. They are spacers that change the bolt circle as well as the wheels are 5x120mm.

      Good maintenance but I was a little suprised I couldn't tell a difference shifting. Felt the same.

      @@EssMotorsports really?! Many told me to steer away from GM product and use Amsoil or another product but not sure. Someone brought it up to me today and decide to look into to see how complicated it was. It’s just as simple as the rear diff and regular oil change

      @@BLUPRINT1LE yeah not hard. Hardest part is getting onto stands.

      @@EssMotorsports I see. Based on your video and I’m at 3700 miles, I’m not going to change it then, I’ll wait until like 20k or something

    awesome video man, I need to get under my 2016 1ss and do this. Have you thought about doing the diff?

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  2 роки тому

      I actually change diff fluid last year. I don't think I made a video of that, but I would highly recommend changing the diff fluid. Rear gears usually shed material as they wear in the pattern.

      @@EssMotorsports I have 51k miles on mine. I should probably get around to it.

      Definitely good maintenance. I just used stock AcDelco fluid for the diff.

    Amazon says the trans fluid that you have in link doesn't fit my 2018 1le. It says 10-9394 # 88865601.Dexron Vl. Did you look at an owners manual? I'm curious...

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  Рік тому +1

      Yes it's in the My Chevrolet app manual. The link and what I used is what it specifies in the online manual.

    How did you move the line blocking the fill hole? I was under the car and could not get a ratchet in there at all

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  2 роки тому

      U should be able to just push it outta the way to fit 3/8 ratchet. Might need to cut zip tie or two but I don't think I had too.

    How many miles do you have to do this??

    • @EssMotorsports
      @EssMotorsports  Рік тому

      If it's a new car I would change it after couple thousand miles. Then manual says every 45,000 miles. If your tracking your car it's a lot more. Probably every year.
