I usually never go Law, but just seeing Abdiel and Dazai care for each other and genuinely want to return God's order to save humanity really made me wanna join them. Too bad my boy Tsukuyomi had a better ideology

What Tsukiyomi wanted was not survival of the fittest, but isolationism and nationalism, in the "only we, the native gods of the region, can decide what is the best course for our country, and not some usurper siting up there on his throne in Heavens and doing fuck all" kind of way. I mean, there definitely would be *some* natural selection in his version of the new world, sure, with various gods vying for power and all that, however it is just a side-effect, not the end goal this time around. Chaos faction in SMT V is, interestingly enough, also strives for order, just not the one the angels would want.
In fact, if there is anyone who is truly darwinistic in this game, it would be Yakumo with his "all evil, even potential evil, must be eradicated" mentality.

While law tends to be my least favourite alignment, Abdiel is the one exception. Compared to the likes of Merkheba, who would kill anyone that so much as picks up a book, Abdiel sees an example of blasphemy with the Nahobino and while enraged, she’s able to let others talk her down. Her main motivation isn’t to enslave humanity but rather protect order even when she’s clearly out of her depth. That’s something else I like; she’s very human. She’s an emotional being that fails the same as anyone else but is able to learn and change. I really enjoy what they did with her character.
I specifically enjoyed that despite her having resentment towards you for being living proof that God is dead, she still treats you like an ally and thanks you for helping her and always makes sure that Dazai doesn't get himself killed
I'd argue Ramiel in DeSu was also good. The only reason why God even agrees to not instantly wipe Tokyo is because Ramiel appealed to let him TRY to save as many humans as he could, and if you go Law, his and Amane's efforts pay off. Ramiel is clearly dedicated to saving lives before all, even if it may not agree with God's plan, and so long as he is around, and has God's ear, I'm confident things will be fine. Even Metatron, who is usually a nasty watchdog, is willing to trust MC in spite of his status as King of Bel. Metatron usually doesn't trust anyone...that Ramiel's support is enough to make him relent says a lot.
To be fair Merkabah and Lucifer in smt IV were Satan under God's orders to start a forever war
I really like Abdiel she's actually to me one of the most empathetic law characters to me. I felt really bad for her having to deal with the politics of Bethel when it was clearly something beyond her capability. Idk she was one of the only characters in the story I really liked

Yea, one of my favorite characters as well, and one of the only ones who genuinely seemed to care for Dazai even though he had no business being involved, she always made sure he was safe. Could be because he was her knowledge, but she would've never fused with him if he didn't offer himself, creating doubt in her mind which Lucifer promptly swept in to take advantage of.
I appreciated abdiel and dazai a lot, dazai is the best character in the game except for his sudden edgyness, but still i couldnt agree with them, tsukuyomi and atsuta were more in line with me
I don't have a "preferred" alignment, i did only finish two mainline games, being 4 and 5, i went chaos on 5 and neutral on 4
SMT has usually a bad track record making its zealot characters actually likeable, but man the entire Pandemonic Summit was such good character development for Abdiel, in particular her exchange with Dazai
You know the fact that me and my friends were talking about Abdiel in that she IS technically like a mom figure to Ichiro, the title you gave angel mommy is pretty accurate lol. Her design is sick with her full armor, the fact that her wings do have two sets of colors and the lipstick she has is a good way to make her feel different from her peers.......cough that and she does have a good ass cough. I mean what, I don't know what was that about but regardless, another soild look into an SMT5 demon!
One of the most devoted angels, didn't go along with the revolt and went so far to uphold God's order they broke it to save it
Technically, Lucifer, the snake we know, isn't himself anymore. He absorbed literal God, thus also his quirks and got reborn that way. And because of that, he was even fine with getting defeated due to his omnipotence and himself, in a way, living within inheritor of his knowledge
I thought it was odd that Lucifer was the one who told her to become a Nahobino, but considering her origins it makes total since.
Yea, I knew of Abdiel's connection with Lucifer before playing, so I was always interested to see if she'd end up killing him or rejoining him.
Abdiel could have easily been the most complex and intriguing law rep SMT had ever seen. Instead everyone just wants to laugh at Joker Dazai because the writers couldn't care to give a fuck

Ok, calling Abdiel as the "Angelic Karen" fits certainly well. Well done! I love her design overall and her light based attacks, which suits for her holy power, and switching to dark based attacks when she goes to her Fallen form. Still, I love how you called Abdiel as "Angelic Karen"! So great!
I like that pretty much everyone sees Abdiels last form as sort of Devilman like.
One of the few times an Archangel and Law Rep in a mainline didn't make me feel weird for going their route.
Other is Nocturne, which doesn't really have a law rep lol
As for Spinoffs, Zelenin from SJ and Amane from Desu are good.
And Mastema is a memelord.
I think her telling me I should die for existing the whole game while making me do her dirty work made me feel worse about her than any other law rep in the series

Tsukiyomi that angelic body got me questioning questing my loyalty to tokyo. Memes aside i think she is a good law she didn't feel dictatory and her devotion is amazing

Ngl I really like Abdiel despite her hypocrisy and her trying to kill us, I especially like her fallen form(reminds me of dds atma avatars), also some thoughs:
1)She and Mastema both have blue lips and Mastema wings are fully dark, while her are only dark at the tips oh her wings
2)While her wearing a leotard is probably just for fanservice, I kinda was thinking maybe bcuz comparing other angels who usually just floats and use magic and sometimes swords, Abdiel is more of a fighter angel(the +2 phys affinity, she moves a lot), and she uses kicks and punches in her normal attack in her fallen form, so maybe her wearing a leotard is for mobility? Eh maybe I'm just thinking too much and like I said it's just probably for fanservice lol
Her body is entirely made of metal, what use would she have for armor?

I realized that dazai and abdiel is pretty similar to queen and berdly in deltarune and even I don't what think about that.

@@starmaker75 I liked his personality. Seemed like a goofball who just wasn't cut out for this world. But his Aizen transformation was a no for me, especially when nothing before that gave hints at that kind of edgy personality.
For sure my favorite song. Also I think Dazai is surprisingly convincing, and I can agree with him enough for my law route, which I just started. I have come to appreciate Abdiel more every playthrough.

You can fuse Abdiel before NG+ if you choose law and are law alligned. I fused her and the used elements to fuse her into Metatron.
I find it funny the fusion causes an explosion so strong it defeats the opponent easily. Even on Law being hit by the explosion when at full strength still instantly kills them.

Law is the superior route in V because Dazai is the only character who is *actually* *a* *character* , unlike the other reps who barely exist in the plot. Also the over-the-top edginess and teleporting is too entertaining.
yeah, I mean no only do the law rep have actual character development, but they are kinda right that without them, the pagan gods would wage bloody wars to be the top god(with humans being there pawns). I mean yeah they have authoritarian tendencies but with nanobino being the next ywyh/god/allah it does imply he does keep free will. look bewteen smt 5 law and smt 2 and 4 law(where they go all isil) I take it
@@starmaker75 Yea, Order is a much better outcome then chaos in this game. At least with order you don't have constant war between gods, and nobody is forced to walk some path (except no nahobino's allowed) but that's an okay sacrifice.
5:20 yeah, I just made it past Surt, so I'm leaving this as a reminder for where I should come back to on this video. I didn't mind watching the little red riding hood-looking goddess because her story is mainly a side quests, so I didn't mind watching it whole, but this is main story spoilers, although I did love the theology going around Abdiel.

Any sympathy for the law route was Instantly shattered when she attacked me. And Dazai needs to pull his damn pants leg down. He be teleporting and shit, and the whole time I'm like, "You look dumb Dazai, go sit back down."
You can actually get abdiel's herald form on your first playthrough if you do law route. She unlocks the fusion for you when you first enter empyrean.
I don't see anything wrong with Abdiel be female in game, because angels are genderless and take form that suits them. However in art angels looks often androginic, decision in SMTV design is still fine.

We should’ve just fought fallen abdiel instead of the stupid looking fusion design we got. Fusing to become a nahobino is already a sin so Dazai and Abdeil fusing to get her fallen design would’ve made sense.

I would’ve hoped that the game had a “True Angel Route” so the True Demon could fight the True Angel.

Honestly I just found Abdiel annoying af for most of the game. The fallen angel scene was pretty metal though.
I ended up liking Abdiel the most among the cast, mostly because she is the only character that goes through some meaningful development and change throughout the story, unlike all the others. I am also very disappointed by her, because they had one chance to make a likeable law character and ended up making yet another zealot with a stick up their ass, and the fact that this very basic character is the most intriguing speaks a lot about the plot in my opinion.
Yeah I expected more from the characters. Lahmu for instance should’ve been kept as the main antagonist.
She didn't seem like a zealot to me. Dazai however did seem like a zealot after his Aizen mode activated

When Lucifer saved the Law route and encouraged the undoing of everything he's worked for, for eons. I just laughed and put my head in my hands. That was the moment I just couldn't take the story seriously anymore I'm sorry
Eh it makes sense. He was getting her to think for herself, and joining him in rebellion in the past would also be in line with that.
Rather than be a sheep, he wanted her to think, and it’s her Knowledge that takes his words to heart and leads her on that path.
While I like to criticize this story, Lucifer isn’t really a problem? When he gained God’s knowledge he transcends and abandons the throne because now he knows how the mandala system works and wants to escape it (it was him that probably gave Aogami the duty of protecting the protagonist once he arrived in Da’at). He doesn’t care for he world at this point.
I mean I don't see you really a problem here Bloom here Lucifer and SMT has always had this hard boner about freedom.
And then if you choose servitude that's still your choice to choose. And really when it comes down to it how much should he really help the law route he technically Made it where if she did win the battle royale she would have had done it by breaking the rules That was assigned by God.
Not to mention she would be on the throne Meaning she would have to make the orders And even if she recarated God and gave all the power to him they would still be this element of meeting to be a nahobino to protect his rule even if it goes against his rule because she's seen what happened if his rule ever gets challenged again thus creating this conflict of chaos and becoming kind of the new Lucifer of a new universe.
@@strell3639 yep, you can hear Lucifer talking to Nahobino in the very beginning of the game after he fusses with Aogami. It was his plan all along.
