    When you add the scent is that included in the oil measurement or the water?

    • @ln5378
      @ln5378 7 років тому

      joe mamma oil, as fragrance is made into oil, and the density of water is too high to mix in the fragrance oil.

    So if I use cornstarch, I subtract that amount from the baking soda? Wouldn't that cut into the fizzing action? Do most ppl not use cornstarch and Epsom salt? I know cornstarch helps them float and Epsom salts is a stabilizer.

    This is really interesting info, I didn't know to get rid of some baking soda for additives. Let me see if I've got this straight:
    If I'm using 100 g citric acid, 50 g of baking soda, and then I have 10 g of additive I want to include, I would keep the citric acid at 100g and the baking soda would go to 40 g - is this correct?

    • @sapphireblue222
      @sapphireblue222 9 років тому

      Megan Schafer Not quite, because you want 100 g Baking Soda to 50 g Citric Acid. But otherwise you're correct.

      just use a 2:1 ratio... so to practice use 1 cup of backing soda and 1/2 cup citric acid. when you get good, increase the amount but stick to the ratio

  • @muskndusk

    How about wearing plastic gloves, every time I see videos about making bath bombs, no one wears gloves. It's kinda gross.
